Anyone do this? I know it's big here in our area and I thought I'd mention that Target actually has little kits in their halloween section complete with instructions on how to do it. Very cute! :thumbsup2 For those who don't know "booing" someone is usually done in neighborhoods. You sneak onto a neighbors porch - put the little "you've been booed" sign on their door and leave some halloween treats and goodies.

We got "boo'd" the last 2 years, none so far this year. It is cute, and we have never figured out who "boo'd" us.

Our Neighborhood does something like this except, someone prints up a few pictures of a ghost, puts one on a friends house and tells them them to the same thing. If you walk on our street you'll see every house with a ghost on it!

We used to do that around my neighborhood when I was little, but I dont believe it is done anymore. :guilty: Which is sad because it was something that was done so often and it was really fun!

This sounds really cute. Kinda like DIS tag. :thumbsup2

It might be fun to Boo other disers and give them a little symbol to put in their siggy to show they've already been booed. Hmmmm....I'll have to think about that one.....

And yes, we've always done the Booing every year. It's fun.

That's too bad Pooh Bear. I am from GA and never heard of it but here in the midwest it seems to be a long standing tradition.

When do you boo someone? Do you do before Holloween? Sounds fun. If this is before Holloween, I don't know if I want to do that around my neighborhood, I'm afraid I might get caught and they would call the police on me thinking I'm a robbery or a vadalizer for illegal trespassing on their porch or balcony.

Neighborhoods usually start around 10-1. HEre's an example of the poem:

The air is cool, the season fall,
Soon Halloween will come to all ghosts and goblins,
spooks galore
Tricky witches at your door.
The spooks are after things to do,
In fact a spook brought this to you !!!
The treats that came with this short note, Are yours to keep ,enjoy them both .
The excitement comes when friends like you ,
Will copy it & make it two,We'll all have smiles upon our faces,
No one will know who "BOO"ed whoses places !!
Just two short days to work your spell,
Keep it secret ,hide it well.
Please join the fun, the seasons here .
Just spread these "BOO's" & Halloween cheer .

Include a sheet of paper that says:

You have been BOOED! Please keep it going by following these directions:

Enjoy your treat
Place the BOO sign on your front door or visible in a window
Within 2 days, make 2 copies of this note, make 2 treats & 2 BOO signs
Secretly deliver to 2 neighbors/friends without a BOO .
Keep an eye on nearby front doors to see how far and fast it spreads by Halloween.

I belong to a local mom's group and we are doing this.

We were boo'd yesterday. They most of know us because my DD who is allergic to milk had no milk products in her bag. How nice.

Now I have to go get stuff to do a few people.

My plans is to go to target. I thought we would do a few friends who weren't in the mom's club also.

This is the 1st year I have heard about it.
:thumbsup2

We were "boo'd" by two different unknown neighbors last year...Unfortunately they both occurred while we were trapped in Cancun by Hurricane Wilma! The friend we had watching our cats and bringing in our mail found them by our front door and brought them in for us. They were really cute! Came with a playful little poem, some toys and lots of candy! Made us feel guilty though because we did make it home late afternoon on the 30th, but we wanted no interaction with anybody for the next two days, so we did not even turn the porch light on or answer the door for the kids treating :(

My mom just got "Booed" the other day. So I expect to also. ;) I better keep a look out. Such a cute idea.

We just got booed tonight and I had never heard of this before!

My kids are kinda excited about passing it along ::yes::

Never heard of it, but what a cute idea!!.....as long as it isn't the devil :sad2: trying to getcha! :stir:
