You're the best parents in the world! I gotta pee! Where's My Tooth? Trip report!

Spectromagic:cloud9: Thanks for the report on the fireworks from Fantasyland. Maybe we'll try there sometime especially if DH is with me. He can't stand the crowds:confused3

Lisa,
I'm trying to catch up on your trip report, this thing has turned into a book! There's too much to respond to, so I just wanted to come out and say that you are very entertaining and you crack me up!:rotfl: Good Job!

Somewhere I read that if you had seen Wishes from the front of the castle many times, why not try seeing Wishes from behind the castle. So, we thought why not give it a try.

The best place I've seen Wishes from is while riding Dumbo... Tricky to time, but definitely worth the view.

First of all, I'm gonna come back and respond to everybody. Just give me a while. You know I still love you.:grouphug:

I've been sitting here with the ghosts typing away. Those stupid things won't quit smoking and I've smelled it almost all day now. I have a headache from it. I even said outloud, at lunch, "Please put your cigarette out because it's giving me a headache." I guess they can't kick the habit 'cause they didn't stop. Both my boss and myself were gone at lunch and when I cam back, the backdoor was open again. Smoking and playing tricks!

John just called and said my hairdresser calle me back. She can't cut my hair until the 5th at 4:30 p.m. No uh uh! We are supposed to leave for Disney on the 5th and as soon after I get off work as possible. There will be no haircutting at 4:30 for me. Now, I've got to go to some stranger and have my haircut. The way I figure it is if the cut turns out bad, I can always wear a hat. It doesn't really matter what it looks like anyway because the Florida weather does a number on my naturally wavy hair even with a good haircut.

Be back later, just had a minute to fill ya'll in.

sorry to hear about the hairdresser!!! glad to hear about the fireworks from the back of the castle will have to pass that one on to Joe (does not like crowds--since Iraq or really loud noise or bright lights) we were worried about him but he did really well. Only had headache issues one day while there.

John is such a flirt and raising Hunter right along with it....its a southern thing! my dad is super quiet but a super flirt...

Maybe those people wouldn't take your glow sticks b/c your tooth fell out again, and you didn't realize it! :lmao: (love you, Lisa!)

We saw the fireworks from behind the castle in March, and to be honest, it was awesome to see, but I got a neck ache from all the turning of my head. You never knew which direction they coming from! Mitchell loved it, though. Screamed and jumped up and down the whole time. That was my favorite part.

That's funny - now you're talking to your ghosts! Too bad they don't listen. The perfume around this place gives me a headache. I'd love to tell these people to go home and take a bath! :cutie:

I've been toying with the idea of buying glow bracelets for the kids and extras to pass out too. It's a shame that the parents said no.

What a great night you had at MK!!:goodvibes We love SpectoMagic :lovestruc:-- We're so sad it's not going to be running on our MK day next month.:sad2: It sound like you found a great spot to watch it!!:thumbsup2 especially for riding BTMR right after. As you know, we love BTMR and riding it at night sounds awesome!!

That's too bad that some people wouldn't let their kids take a glow stick...Geez, you were only trying to spread a little magic!!!:confused3 I will have to mention to DH about watching the fireworks from the back of the castle. He will be sooo happy because he does not like crowds in the front.:rolleyes1

He gives it away to anyone willing to drink it. He does sell it at the family reunion cause we need to make money to throw a big party. My dear cousin was killed last year in a car wreck so he brought his wine he had started and finished it and bottled it. We made $600 on it at the reunion. Don has taught my brother Gary and that cousin how to make it. We had some weird stuff over the years. No wood particles tho. The black walnut one was a little weird.

I'd be willing to pay for the shipping costs. At least you'll get that costs back. I'm sorry to hear about your cousin.

I love to look at aerial maps!
I know what you mean about the underwear situation. When I travel I make sure to pack only my most comfortable bras and panties!
I also just wanted to say that on Saturday I booked a package to WDW. :cool1: I'm so exited! I changed my ticker in my signature. We'll be there in eight weeks! You are lucky you leave in one week but I'm happy to be going at all this year. Have fun!

Good fitting underwear are essential when traveling. I can put up with an uncomfortable one for just a day at work but not when I'm on vacation. Awful!

Oh my goodness! You are going to to Disney in just 8 weeks. You gotta get busy planning!

:cheer2:you booked your trip:cheer2:
and you are leaving so soon:thumbsup2wish I could talk DH into planning a trip like that; I usually have to go every 5 yrs; so, I'm lucky to beable to plan for next year...we just need to decide "when"

Have fun...look forward to another TR...:woohoo:

I'd have fits if I had to wait 5 years in between visits to Disney. But, I would if I had to.

OH MY GOSH I can't believe that happened!! :scared1:

Wow I can't believe someone would rather be thrown out than to just move down the row. Her poor kid! :sad2:

Isn't that the most ridiculous thing you've ever heard of? All the lady had to do was move on down the row but she refused. She was so obnoxious that the whole theater clapped when they escorted her out.

:rotfl: Now I don't feel so bad about the roll of TP I have in my car....same reason..."you just never know when you might need it"!

John travels with a roll all the time.

My dad used to carry a roll of TP in the car when we were younger. I remember many a time we'd have to pull off the side of the interstate and Daddy would go running out to the woods!!! :scared1:

Up until about two or three years ago, a roll of toilet tissue was a "must take" on our packing list. It was always stored underneath the seat.

Wonderful day at MK. I have seen wishes from front and back. Front is better imo. But there is just something about it that makes you feel so good inside. I love the magic. I would have taken a glow stick.

Aww Ginny, I would have given more than one glowstick too!

You know what they say...."Those that can't do"...

My boss in one of four children and only one of them has a child. It was by accident.:scared1:

Spectromagic:cloud9: Thanks for the report on the fireworks from Fantasyland. Maybe we'll try there sometime especially if DH is with me. He can't stand the crowds:confused3

If your husband doesn't like crowds, Fantasyland is the way to go. There weren't very many people in Fantasyland when we were there. It wasn't as "magical" but still very good.

Lisa,
I'm trying to catch up on your trip report, this thing has turned into a book! There's too much to respond to, so I just wanted to come out and say that you are very entertaining and you crack me up!:rotfl: Good Job!

I know. We get to chit chatting and then I go back to trip report writing. But, then we start talking about the importance of good fitting underwear, "panty money" and funny church stories and sorta get off track.

I'm glad that I can provide you with a good "crack me up!".:rotfl2:

The best place I've seen Wishes from is while riding Dumbo... Tricky to time, but definitely worth the view.

I've heard that too. We have two Magic Kingdom days planned this trip, so we might just give it a try. We once watched the fireworks from the ferry boat. They were pretty.

sorry to hear about the hairdresser!!! glad to hear about the fireworks from the back of the castle will have to pass that one on to Joe (does not like crowds--since Iraq or really loud noise or bright lights) we were worried about him but he did really well. I'm not really picky about my hair. You can tell that from the pictures. I always tell John I'd look lots better if I'd take more time getting ready. But, I figure I've already got him hooked so what does it matter? I'll find somebody to cut it.

Poor Joe...tell him you just need to chill and watch the fireworks from Fantasyland. It's pretty loud but there aren't as many people.

Maybe those people wouldn't take your glow sticks b/c your tooth fell out again, and you didn't realize it! :lmao: (love you, Lisa!)

Oh I know that wasn't it 'cause now I am paranoid and am constantly running my tongue around in my mouth to make sure all my crowns are still on!

I know what you mean about not knowing which direction the fireworks were coming from. You just never knew. Sweet little Mitchell getting all excited about the fireworks. :lovestruc

John is the one who told me to talk to the ghost and see if it would work. Apparently, they are either hard of hearing or just don't give a hoot what I say. Strong perfume is almost as bad as body odor. :scared:

I've been toying with the idea of buying glow bracelets for the kids and extras to pass out too. It's a shame that the parents said no.

I couldn't believe they didn't take them. I honestly was in shock. I mean, we were just handing out innocent glowsticks not dealing drugs or anything.

What a great night you had at MK!!:goodvibes We love SpectoMagic :lovestruc:-- We're so sad it's not going to be running on our MK day next month.:sad2: It sound like you found a great spot to watch it!!:thumbsup2 especially for riding BTMR right after. I've seen several posts about Disney adding parades and other show times to the calendar. Maybe they'll add Spectro in and you'll get to see it.

Like I said, I was totally confused as to why people were turning down our free glowsticks. I guess I'm gonna save my money this trip and not try to "spread the love".

Tell you hubby to give the fireworks a try from Fantasyland. It's still great to see.

Oops forgot to comment on your flirt comment.....John is definitely a flirt. Sometimes, the ladies at Home Depot and Lowe's give him discounts because he stands around flirts with them. Heck, if it saves me some money, go right ahead!

Ok, so I am busy (very) finishing up my Epcot day and I have missed like 20 posts. You girls have to slow down when I'm working. I don't even know where to begin. I have your email address Lisa. I'll get with you on addresses after you return from the World so I can send you some wine. I would just flip if my hairdresser changed on me. Believe it or not I am way picky on my haircut.

It is now finally time to go home. So the boss is back tomorrow who knows what I will get done for him. Not much if it gets in the way of my Dis. Love you girls.

Ginny

So, I'm bored and should be playing with the kids but instead I got a whim...
after yesterday I have been curious about Fantasyland...
so I pulled up the ariel view and yes 20,000 leagues the lagoon is still there and you can see close to the Dumbo ride there is a part of the lagoon there that would make a moat for the new Dumbo "IF THE RUMORS WERE TO BE TRUE"...

I never realized how much parking is around MK; it is so well hidden...and you would not believe how generic all the roof systems are...very interesting very interesting...if your a bored geek like me

here's the link if anyone is a geek like me:
http://www.bing.com/maps/default.as...0&scene=5219454&phx=0&phy=0&phscl=1&encType=1

Remember this is all just a leak and a rumor...
although I would love to see them do something with the lagoon

Thats a really cool link....but I'm pretty sure the lagoon is gone. I think thats grass. Other stuff that looks like it is grass, because stuff is sitting on it. And the 200 leagues was closer to the main area. I think either where Ariels Grotto is or where Poohs playground is. I'm pretty sure I had read they filled it in. DL did something with theres a few years ago. I forget the theme..nemo Ariel? Something under the water. LOL! But I think I had read WDW couldn't because they had filled it in.
I's really cool to see the back stage stuff though. I'm gonna spend too much time looking at that map now. LOL!

Yep, I just found that info. Here is a copy of part of the article

However, in 2004 a green wall went up around the lagoon, and in July it was drained and demolition began. The coral, the sets, and most of the animatronics within the lagoon and caverns were smashed to bits, although many items were saved by Disney employees, such as the sharks, one of the squids, a viking ship, and the serpent's heads. Demolition continued throughout the remainder of the year, as the lagoon was leveled off, filled in with dirt, and concreted over. Large amounts of Foliage began to be added, and in mid 2005 a rather small playground called 'Pooh's Playful Spot' was opened. Most of the large area that was 20k was simply covered by foliage. 20K was not completely forgotten though—the designers put a small, barely noticable green knot above the door to Pooh's house which resembles the Nautilus!

I got it here

Ok, stuff I forgot in my last post (how can I be so forgetful at 36?)
I liked your funny church stories.
Can you tell me where exactly is the rest room by peter pan? I tried to look for it last year but was too in a hurry to find one that I went in the ones by pinocchio counter service. In fact, I had to walk out of philharmagic and miss the whole thing because I had to go so bad! The same thing happened at DHS and I missed the Walt movie! So, I too have bathroom issues!
Just as a side - I was an exchange student in France as a teenager. The bathrooms at the high school didn't have seats on the toilets or toilet paper in any of them!? :scared1: So I learned to take some TP with me to school. It was a difficult year to say the least!
OK, back to the TR...
