You're the best parents in the world! I gotta pee! Where's My Tooth? Trip report!

I found some of my Magic Kingdom pictures on photobucket finally. They were moved wayyyy back to some of the last pages. Can't figure out what's up with that. Now I've got to go back a few pages on my report and see where I left off.

Lisa, Photobucket and I are not friends. I have figured out a lot. I know on the Cruise Critic Boards you can just download pics from your computer and it is so easy. Be we all live and learn for sure.

I am so enjoying your report. I can see I must work hard to keep up with you.

I certainly don't know how my Magic Kingdom pictures go so far back on my photobucket album but I finally found them and I'm about to post an update.

I'm glad that you are coming along for the ride. Sorry I'm workin' ya so hard. :rotfl:

Photobucket seems to randomly arrange the pictures you download. I have pictures I took 3 years ago that are on newer pages than some I took last year or earlier this year :sad2: I like the way snapfish lets you put them in a particular album and you can find them much easier.

When I left off, John was ready to hobble over to our next attraction which was Goofy's Barnstormer. This is one of Hunter's favorites. John complains that this ride kills his back. I guess because he is 6'1", he's crammed in and his back is pushed against the hard plane.:confused3 Anyway, we rode it once and Hunter begs his Daddy to ride again. So, of course, his Daddy gives in and they ride it again. When they get ready to get off, the bar thing won't come up and the castmember tells them to just stay in and ride again. Bonus!

After three zippy rides, we decided to take the train over to Frontierland to save John some walking on his still throbbing toe. And, it was nice to have a semi-cool breeze hitting our face since it was pretty hot.

Now this is where my memory gets a little fuzzy on the order in which we saw things. I know that we rode Big Thunder Mountain and skipped Splash Mountain. Splash Mountain is not one of Hunter's favorites so we skipped it this day with Hunter's promise that we'd ride it on our second Magic Kingdom day.

I do believe that's when we headed over to Country Bear Jamboree. Of course, there had to be a mishap.

As you all know, the seating in the theater is just long benches and you are supposed to "move all the way down....move all the way down....fill up all empty spaces". (you know the castmembers' spiel) Well, we did and we're seated approximately half way down the bench when this lady with super long fingernails (you'll understand why I noticed in just a minute) comes "excuse me-ing" all the way down the row. When she gets to John, she trips over his foot (which I don't see how she did it because he was guarding his feet/sore toe underneath the bench) and falls right onto my legs. She, literally, claws into my leg to keep from falling flat on her face. I help her up and she continues her way down the row. My leg is hurting pretty bad from just her falling on it and I look down and I am bleeding. Yes, bleeding. :scared: Her fingernails had made three approximately 3 inch long scrapes on my leg.

I'm not a germaphobe but I really don't like someone's claw marks on my leg especially when they are deep enough to draw blood. The show was starting and I wasn't about to go "excusing me-ing" down the row like my falling friend did. With my luck, I'd fall on somebody's lap too. John always carries a bandana in his pocket so we wet it with the water in our water bottle and wiped off the marks. I really wanted to clean the germs off the scrapes so I took out the hand sanitizer that I had in the backback. Holy bejeezers, it stung!!!! Wounds all cleaned up, we sat back and watched the show.

Once the show was over, we got outside and got a good look at the scratches on my leg. We decided I needed to go wash them off really well so off to the bathroom I went while John and Hunter waited on me to get back. Since I had no alcohol to put on the scrapes, I put hand sanitizer on them again. Holy bejeezers again!

I've got more to post but I've got to get a few things ready for clients to come by and pick up so I'll stop here. Be back later this evening.

OOOOuch!!! and ewwwweeee fingernails. good for you thinking of the hand sanitzer I just don't know if I could do it twice --ouch!

I have never ridden Splash Mtn, yet!! I do not like free fall drops and that is what that looks like. Although, Danny and the kids tell me each time I will love it! Next time!!! maybe ;)

Ouchers is right. We use that sanitizer all the time at work because we don't have running water in our office and any paper cut will set you in to outer space with that stuff. We did not catch that show this time and seeing your pictures makes me wish we had. It will be in my next plan.

OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

and

GROSSSSSSSSSSS!

major Ew factor. You poor thing!

Ahhhh the Country Bear Jamboree :) I missed it this time. Must go back!

You crack me up! And you remind me of all the fun and funny little things that happen on a trip. In the months leading up to a trip all you see is your resort and the parks and memories of trips gone by. We get to return to WDW this Christmas and now I am really looking forward to filling all our days with the details to come. :goodvibes

YIKES! Fingernails! And I'm not a germaphobe either, but that's just gross!

The acoustics in Country Bear Jamboree were so bad on our 2007 trip that we just decided to skip it this year. Were you able to hear everything??

All I can say is.....owwwwww!!! I can totally understand why you wanted to sanitize it--that's really gross!!!

We've never seen the Country Bear Jamboree--I haven't heard too many good things about the attraction so we weren't sure we wanted to take the time to go there. Your pictures are really great though--so we may check it out in August.:thumbsup2

Aw, Lisa! Fingernails and three inch bleeding scrapes on your legs. Yep, hand sanitizer would have been my first thought, also. I've used it before, and you're right, it burns like (you know what!). Guess you need to start carrying your Triple Antibiotic Ointment with you, as well.

It seems to me that with every good thing that has happened on this trip so far, there's something bad to go along with it!!! I hope Hunter came away unscathed...

BTW, I love Country Bear Jamboree!!!! My son was so cute when we saw it in March, clapping and stamping his feet to the music. I can't wait to see it again. I've seen from the front and and all the way in the last row. Good both ways! :thumbsup2

The first time, I didn't think about it burning but the second time I knew it was gonna hurt.

You have got to ride Splash Mountain. It's so much more than the final drop. The animatronics are fantastic.

Oh my gosh, paper cuts are the worst! For something so little, they hurt so bad.

You gotta go see the Country Bears. It's a foot stompin'-hand clappin' good time.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty gross too. All I could think of was "what has she been scratching with those fingernails?".

Like I've said before, if something stupid can happen, it'll happen to us! It does make for some pretty funny stories when we go back and think about the trip.

I would love love love to see Disney at Christmas. In 2000, we went during Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving, the Christmas decorations were put up. We only got to see the Magic Kingdom because we left the next day.

Well, I can't say that the acoustics were great but we could hear pretty good. But, we always sit near the back and I think there are speakers behind us so that's probably why we could hear.

You really have to see Country Bear Jamboree. It's not one of those attractions where you go "oh my gosh, that was fantastic!" but it is one where you'll come out saying "that was really cute!"

I had a first aid kit in my car so when we got back to the resort, I got it out and found three little packages of antibiotic ointment and some bandaids. Needless to say, I put those in our backpack and they stayed there. As a matter of fact, we took the backpack with us camping this past weekend and some of the bandaids were still in there.

As you can see, Hunter has come away with no injuries so far. There is one incident later on that I'll tell you guys all about. Nothing really bad though.

Isn't it great to watch your kids having so much fun at Disney World. Hunter was 11 on our trip and he still likes to see the Country Bears and, yes, he still claps his hands and stomps his feet.

Oh, I brought my camera to work with me today. I came in first thing and took a few pictures down the hallway and my boss's office while the lights were still off. I'm going to take some of the bells I've been talking about. I want you to see what I'm talking about.

Finally caught up! Stupid work always gets in the way. ;)

My DS11 was checking out your son's Indiana Jones hat and was wondering how much he needs to save so he can get one on our trip in Nov/Dec.

The post with all the info for CBR is wonderful. I love the Pop Information thread and wish there was a thread for every resort just like it. I think what I like most is that all the info is in the first 2 posts so you don't have to read every single page.

Love hearing about the ghosts! I watch all the ghostie shows that I can. A Haunting, Ghost Hunters, GHI, Ghost Adventures, etc. I would never, EVER want any thing to happen to me as I would probably pee my pants but hearing about someone else's experience works for me.

I'm looking forward to seeing the pics you took today! I'm loving your ghost stories just as much as your TR! :cool1:

Good for you....catching up!

If I am not mistaken, Hunter's hat set him back about $40.00 but he didn't mind paying that much " 'cause it's a real Indiana Jones hat". That's what he really said. I may have the receipt where we bought it. If I find it, I'll post. John and Hunter may remember too. I'll ask.

I'm glad that you liked the detailed CBR information. I hope to come back and do something similar after we stay at Pop.

I watch all the "ghost shows" too.

I'm afraid I may have scared some of my readers off 'cause I'm not getting too many responses from some of them anymore. I took a few pictures this morning when I first came in and then took a few more just a few minutes ago. Right after I took the lunchtime ones, I heard some knocking noises. I went outside and looked in the window of the section beside us to see if workers were there today and they are not. I also looked on the other side of us to see if my boss's mom and dad were home and they aren't. Maybe Mr. Ghost doesn't like having his picture taken?

I am here and reading. I was ready for a picture. Darn. Rather a ghost than a critter making noises. I don't like critters. Try again.
