Hmm I can't vote cuz I think they are yummy but I won't touch them since they are made with gelatin. However, I have had vegan marshmellows and they are yum and I will eat them (they are just expense so it's a once in a while treat).
Well I am not a vegetarian (I would like to be, but too difficult with meat-loving hubby). However, we both refuse to eat things made from hooves. I have a difficult time buying yogurt because most is made with gelatin, thank goodness for Publix yogurt!!!!
I only like my homemade ones. I found a recipe in Rosie magazine for these double vanilla marshmallows which use a vanilla bean and vanilla extract. I like to dip them in a good dark chocolate, Yum! Labor intensive, but oh so good.
Love them toasted, just short of burnt! There's usually a bag in the house, and my kids are clamoring for rice krispy treats whenever we have them. The current bag is leftovers from the chocolate fondue we had last month.
Stale peeps are best aged for about a month in open air.
Love marshmallows - fluff, s'mores, chocolate covered, roasted, frozen, in hot chocolate, on peanut butter sammies, rocky road fudge, moon pies (frozen), etc. The mini ones are also great stale! Would love to try the homemade ones.
