Your worst moment at a Disney park?

Here's Mine:

About two years ago the DW and I decide to do our first NSSHP. We bought the tickets online, but then she got stuck at work. We left our house REALLY late, I'm doing 85 on the turnpike trying to get up there. We show up around 8pm, getting out of the car DW asks if she should bring her phone. Not wanting her work to bother her I say no. We looked at the passholder pin right away but I said we'll wait till later so we don't have to carry it all night. Time slips away and the party is over. This being our first party we didn't realize that they just close everything at the end. Needless to say we got separated looking for the pin. I completely lost her. We were in the emporium but I was really the last person to leave the store and I didn't see her. I am freaking out! I'm shaking, I felt sick, I had no clue what to do, so i figured I'd wait by the exit. By chance I happened to look at saw her talking to a CM by tony's. I raced over there and glued myself to her side (it turned out a CM from the emporium took her to the shop by tony's then the CM walked backstage and got her the pin from the pin store).

Since then, we always have our phones and we we walk into a park I always point at something (store, bench,, whatever) and say if we get separated, meet there.

Wow, some of these are real doozies and I hope that the people involved can at least laugh about it now. :goodvibes

One of my worst WDW park moments was when we took my mother-in-law and father-in-law on their first in a long time trip. And I mean it had been so long that the MK was the only park when they last went. We are standing on Main Street in MK telling them that we were going to head back over to PoC and work that way through the park. FIL wanted something to eat & MIL didn't want to eat. A "discussion" followed with both MIL & FIL dropping the F bomb at each other. I looked at DH and at our (then) toddler and told him to do something. DH told his parents to go do their own thing because we weren't going to put up with their behavior and off we went. I :lovestruc that man!!

in 2008 i went to disney with DH (DB at the time) for his big family trip. I was really excited as it was my first time staying on property, we also had the dining plan so i was going to get to eat in restaurants that i never did before. I have always wanted to eat at california grill especially during wishes. I was able to get an ADR timed right so this would happen. (this was gonna be a special dinner as our 2yr anniversary was right before) Well that morning we went to DTD to wander, lunch at planet hollywood and then do disney quest. All was well until after we got off riding our created rollercaoster at cyberspace mountain. Soon after I started not feeling well, we left soon after to go back to the room to rest. By the time we got back to our resort I had a full blown migraine. But still determined to go to dinner I took some advil and layed down figuring it would pass. Dh got me up when i told him so i could get ready (still asking me if i was sure, and of course being stubborn i said yes) and this lasted until i made it to the bathroom and got sick and realized i wans't going anywhere. Dh went down to the concerige to cancel our ADR(which they did not charge me for even though it was <24hrs) and came back with ice for my head. Then at my insetence he went and met up with his family will i hid under the blanket in the dark for the rest of the night. I did recover by the next day but that was such a miserable night. We are going back this yr and I have my cali ADR again and will avoid cyberspace mt for the rest of my life

Though my trip greatly improved 3 days later when DH propsed at crystal palace with Piglet(my fav charachter) right there

I'm debating between the vacation when I first got really sick (before we found out I had gastritis and acid reflux) and I couldn't eat anything without keeping it down and I kept getting sick on rides. The medicine also made me drowsy so I kept lagging behind or sleeping on Spaceship Earth...

Or the one after that where my parents fought the entire time, and my dad kept screaming at us in public for various petty reasons. Example A) I didn't want to ride Splash Mountain because I hate that ride. He yelled a lot. Example B) I told him the wait for Sum of All Thrills was 15 minutes. He screamed. He seemed to be under the impression that we were going against everything he said, although really he was the one going off the Touring Plans and not keeping up with our reservations.

I had a great time anyway, because we were at DISNEY WORLD of course. But every day was full of fighting matches that trip. I feel bad for the people who stayed in the rooms next to us at the resort. :sad2:

So what is your worst moment at a disney park?

mine is the last trip in September we were at animal kingdom and the wire in my bra decided it was done and snapped in half LOL

I didn't have another bra with me and we had already gotten a REALLY late start to the day (like think NOON) and then we had dinner reservations for 6 so I didn't have time to go change bras.

So the whole day and even I walked around with a wire snapped in half stabbing me the whole time and making my bra fit weird.

extremely uncomfortable lol. What a time for that to happen. I swear that is my biggest pet peeve... snapping wires in bras (this is a regular occurance for me haha) and to happen at a Disney park? that's just cruel and unusual punishment :lmao:

so what is your worst moment?

OMG!!! Last september + bras + Disney = DISASTER!!!

My Bra broke last september as well!!

I was in line for the racing cars at MK (surrounded completely by males and I didn't know any of them) when the strap on my bra decided to break... I heard a rip and then one side completely sagged!!! I casually reached up and found that it had ripped almost completely... hanging on by a solitary thread~~~ I pulled it as tight as possible to reduce the sag, but was fearful it would break the rest of the way. I had another back at the resort but it was hours before I was able to get to it!! The worst part was that it was a brand new one that I had put on for the very 1st time less than 2 hours prior!

I have gone on 2 trips with my best friend and both have been full of "exciting events."

1) Right after 9/11 we got super cheap tickets and plane fares for new Years (like our entire 5 day trip cost $400 including airfare!!! In a Value resort.) We got there on New Year's Eve, hung out late and when I woke up early the next morning, my throat was swollen beyond belief and I was burning up. I had strep throat. however, it was my first WDW trip and we were determined not to let anything get us down. I powered through, almost passing out several times I was so sick. A day or so later, my friend started feeling bad, so now we were just so sick. I will never forget, though, the "e-ride night" (old emh) where we rode Space mountain 12 times in a row, and Thunder 3 times in a row without even getting off! Those crowds were unprecedented, for sure!

2) Our most recent trip. Get there and realize my son has removed all my underwear, so I had to drop $16 for 3 pair in the gift shop. Caught up in a bus situation (2 really really long waits) and ended up missing our ADR time at Boma by 25 minutes, which meant the restaurant was closed (they were nice and let us in there though!) Lost my wallet on a day when we were trying to make a 7 am rope drop, so had to ride the bus all the way home. Grandmother died right at the end of the trip, so had to deal with that too. :( It was a horrendous trip. But we still had fun.

Crowded buses late at night with people who needed deodorant...badly. :headache:

Our first trip, my step-sister's eardrum burst, which I'm sure was her worst moment.

Years ago I was on a Disney trip with friends. We were at Magic Kingdom, having a perfect day, when all of the sudden I start puking up a storm. All the way from Pirates back to the hotel room. I slept from about 3PM to the next morning. To this day I still have no idea what caused it. :confused3

Passing up the PI bus stop to get off at the West Side bus stop for a performance of la Nouba only to discover that the West Side bus stop had been CLOSED and we had to make the ENTIRE LOOP AGAIN.:headache: Needless to say we were stressed about missing the performance and relieved to find the box office staff to be so understanding that they exchanged our tickets for the later performance. All's well that ends well! :goodvibes

My worst moment at a Disney Park occurs every trip when we're walking out of the last gate of our last park during the trip. Always a terrible moment.

During our first (and so far only) trip to WDW, the worst moment was walking through Epcot on the afternoon of our last day in the parks, in the gorgeous sunshine, and looking over to see my 8 year old DD crying. I asked her what was wrong and she said "I don't want to go back home, I want to stay at Disney."

Second worst moment would be when my DH, overtired, recovering from bronchitis and coming down with a sinus infection, went into a toddler-style tantrum walking through MK. I had to bite my lip and ignore his ranting because otherwise it would have been a shouting match, but it was a tense few minutes until he realized what a butthead he was being and got himself calmed back down.

My worst moment was on a Disney bus. Our DD uses a wheelchair full time. We LOVE Disney because she can go on alot of rides in her chair and the bus can take her in her chair. It makes a great trip for us!:thumbsup2

Anyway, we are never in a hurry. We are on vacation!:) We were leaving the MK after the fireworks. It was busy. We went to the line and waited for a bus to go to CBR. We waited in the HC line as marked. When the bus pulled up a lady in the line became VERY vocal. She started going on about wheelchairs. The bus driver waved us down and we went. Anyway we loaded as did the vocal lady. Well she never let up she went on and on and on about wheelchairs! When her stop at CBR came she got off and walked by my DD and said "bye wheelchair!" I was floored and it broke my heart. I looked at my DD and smiled and told her "We love you!" My DD was 16 at the time so she took in every word the lady said.:sad1: I wanted to tell the lady off but decided to be the better person. I also wanted to tell her my DD has a proper name!
ok rants over.

That's awful:sad2: Let's hope the awful lady (perhaps) never has to find out the hardships of being in a wheelchair. Your daughter is lucky to have such a nice mum!:)

There really wasn't one terrible moment; it was more like one whole trip. It was the only trip that we ever took during July, excruciatingly hot. Resort seemed hotter, restaurants seemed hotter, many people trying to see who can expose the most skin and tattoos without being arrested, 3 twenty something’s smoking in the boat in front of us on splash mountain, bazillions of Brazilians, cutting in lines, singing different school songs in lines, and the topper was the over weight 70 year old grandmother with her Marlboro’s in her cleavage, standing in line in front of us at the Land Ride, with her well inked, well pierced family and out of control grandchildren. I know there were a few more enjoyable momments that I've forgoten about, but that pretty much sums it up.

Almost our entire last trip was a worst moment, LOL ... my daughter was only 11 months old and I was still nursing her. She was used to taking naps in a quiet room, being nursed to sleep and didn't take well to being in the parks on hot days. To top it off, both kids and my husband had various degrees of the flu. I spent 75% of the week in the baby care center with my daughter, trying to soothe her as she screamed in her carrier. I think the absolute worst of the trip was the bus ride home from Epcot one night - she screamed the whole way back to ASMo ... I was so embarrassed and felt terrible for the guests around us.

My worst moment is my 16 month old having a febrile seizure at Epcot October 2009. It was our last full day of our vacation and we knew she was running a temperature in the morning and after a nap/tylenol she was acting normal. Thought we could walk over from the Beach Club, where we were staying, to Teppan Edo for dinner and as soon as we got there she started feeling feverish again. I started to walk her back to the Beach Club and she started seizing. Thankfully there was a doctor from Wisconsin at the restaurant who calmed me down until the ambulance got there to take us to the ER.

My second worst moment was one of our Disney vacations where we saw 5 different people throw up during the week we were there including a teenager throwing up in a clear plastic gallon size ziplock bag at the entrance to Epcot. I'm sure the heat had a lot to do with it but I really wish we hadn't witnessed these episodes.

My 3rd trip ever, I developed BAD blisters on both of my feet on both the heels and the areas below my big toes. On the 2nd day. Of an 8 day trip. I pretty much couldn't walk faster than a SLOOOOW saunter, which annoyed the heck out of my commando DW, I'm sure (not that she would tell me, because she is awesome).

Ever since then, we always pack bandages and dry socks, and even sandals if we are going on a wet ride so I don't have to go through that again. It works out nicely. I always wondered about just straight up wearing Crocs the whole time, but I always worry that I am going to be the guy to throw a shoe on Soarin' or something like that.

For me it was our last trip to the world this past Feb. I got strep throat. Ive never had it before and it was horrible. Not wanting to ruin everyone else's time I tried to soldier on. But lunch at the commisary in Hollywood studio's I just wanted to die. Poor DH took both kids on and headed out for there day and I went back to the room and slept. I came back into the parks later but really just wasnt myself.

I was at Animal Kingdom when there was a sudden downpour. I dont think I couldve gotten any wetter even if I jumped into a pool.

my first ever disney trip when i was 5. First day in epcot and i'm afraid to go in spaceship earth because i'm terrified it was in fact, a spaceship, and i would never come back. My mom, to prove a point that it wasn't, went in. I was hysterical the entire time thinking the aliens have gotten her and i'd never see her again. I just feel bad for my father, who was stuck outside waiting in the 90 degree weather with a hysterical child.

the same trip i also tripped on a bridge while wearing sandals and pulled off a toenail, and managed to get food poisoning. i'm amazed i ever wanted to go back!
