Could you let me know your views please?

Worth checking out?

We had dinner there last Tuesday. We always liked it when it was Teppanyaki and we were not disappointed with our visit last week. DD13 and I took my parents and we were seated with another group of 4. It turned out to be an all Michigan table.

We always enjoy the "show" put on by the chefs. Last week's wasn't as spectacular as some of the chefs have been in the past, but the food was excellent. My dad and I had the scallops, mom had the chicken, and DD13 had the steak and shrimp. We all enjoyed our meals very much. We got salads (seaweed for me and DD13; garden for mom and dad). We were too full for desserts.

The renovations are very nice. The new look is very upscale and it is lightened up significantly (light colored walls in the Teppan dining areas). The new sushi bar area is classy in appearance. It sort of reminded me of California Grill.

We will go back again.

We went in December and our family loved it! We were at Disney for a total of 8 nights on the dining plan and Teppan Edo was our favorite out of all the restaurants we tried.

The chef doing the cooking was entertaining, the atmosphere was really nice (love the new look) and the food was great.

Yeah! I love hearing good things about a place I am trying for the first time. :yay:

anyone have pictures since the redo??

Thanks for posting the question!

We are giving it a whirl on our upcoming May trip (May 2nd at Teppan Edo :goodvibes ) I have read mixed reviews about it, but most of the restaurants at the world get mixed reviews so I try to take it with a grain of salt. We are trying to hit up some different restaurants this time. I'd love to see pictures too. If you decide to go, hope you like it! :)

Seen mixed reviews also. My family went just after it reopened last year. We really loved it. My son is very happy with that style of food (lots of rice and noodles!) He also tried our shrimp and beef, and would have eaten all of my meal if I hadn't confiscated his chopsticks!

My only complaint was that it took forever for our meal to be cooked, as the chef had to separately cook one of the other kids on our tables food first, as he had an allergy. My son has a fruit allergy, so I am guessing that is why we were paired with that family. They were probably expecting to have to do something separate for us too (they didn't have to) Actually the kid's Dad looked pretty peeved he had to wait so long too! Poor guy was the very last to get his meal. However it made perfect sense to do it that way, so if you do have allergies they are very accommodating.

It's somewhere I would recommend.
