most people think my name is because I love movies and know alot about movie stars. Actually my name is because I love to watch the stars in the skies at night.

I just bought 5 acres of land in the country so I can look at the lovely stars. if anyone can guess my fave painting is starry starry night by van gogh:rotfl:

I'm pretty sure mine is self explanatory.. My name is Helene and I'm from Pennsylvania.

USD2BMD because I used to be MD. Before I got married my initials were MD.

I used to be MD before I got married too. :thumbsup2

Mine comes from what my family call me sometimes - Mari, instead of Margaret. Then I added my maiden name initial (D) and married name initial (W). Therefore I am Maridw. It was also part of my email address at the time and like LisaViolet, didn't know I could come up with something creative to do with Disney.

As a side note, Mari is pronounced like the person who does the pilates - Mari Windsor - not like Mary. It has the "ar" like in "are". The "i" does sound like the "y" in Mary.

If I were to change my name it would be NatNats_Mimi.

Welllll, it was a super old AIM screen name (remember aol instant messenger?! )

I'm from California. I love the ocean. I love surfers, I wish I could surf haha :rotfl2: So that's the "surfin" part of it. The Pirate, well...PotC is my favoriteeeee movie. Maybe not so much anymore...but it will always have a special place :)

Thus: Surfinpiratee!!

Mine is because I work for Piggly Wiggly and Mr Pig is our mascot.

When I was first getting on the internet, my roommate at the time was telling me I needed to pick a user name. So I picked a character from a series of books I was reading at the time. Carstairs is Mrs. Pollifax's boss at the CIA in the Mrs. Pollifax books, a series about a grandmother, garden club member, widow, and part time CIA agent.

The 38? That's for my birthday, March 8th.

I like both of these and the reasons :thumbsup2

Mine is because I'm the wife of a FF, who was assigned station 25 when I started using online names.

I'm always tired, lol. Started in medical school and I've loved sleep more than anything else since!

My maiden name is Signorelli...when I started teaching my students couldn't say it correctly...I became Ms. Sinderelli or Sinderella LOL

That is so adorable :) On a side note... LOVE the picture in your sig! I love how the girl is wearing Saints stuff but she has the LSU bow. Someone is being raised right!!!! :) I'm kind of in love with our backups this year! McCown and Griffin can get the job done if anything happens to Brees. And so glad our special teams decided to play last game. Okay. I'll stop talking about my football love now.

Mine is because my favorite character is Piglet and when I joined the DIS back in 2001, my DH called me princess. Now that DD10 is here, she is now the princess and I am the queen!;)

Initial's.

my first and middle name
my oldest daughters first and middle name's
last name.

I, too, think of your name as Ned Flanders (from the Simpsons). And even though you explained what it means, I'll probably always read Ned Flanders in my head. :)

My name was an old AOL screen name I used many years ago.

So . . . What is this Ned Flanders character like?

I too am in the country, so stars in the night is what I'd think. ;)

It was fun finding out about the names here.

Mine is tazdev because when I got on the internet over 14 years ago I was bowling with my aunt and our team name was tazdev after the Tasmanian Devil. She picked the team name and it was one of my 2 favorite characters. The 3225 was from my address as a kid, easily remembered. I just use it as my screen name on any site I join so people know it's me and it's easy for me to remember.

If I chose now it would be Grumpy because he is my other favorite character.

NFLDERS = Newfoundland, Canada. Before the now combined NL which, represents the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

We older generation, were called Newfoundlander(s). Today, I believe the people are referred to as Newfoundland/Labradorians.

What's your reason for? :goodvibes

I may be from Ontario, but I refer to any of my friends in Newfoundland as Newfoundlanders. I guess I can blame Great Big Sea for that.

I've even been, and I think it's beautiful!

So ever since I joined and saw your username, I knew instantly that it was a reference to Newfoundland. :)

My username is the name of a bad guy in a really bad movie called Double Dragon. The bad guy was portrayed by Robert Patrick, who happens to be my favourite actor. I started out using it at an X-Files forum (he was also in that), and it just sort of stuck. I've been Kogo for about six years now. :)

Great Big Sea were here in Niagara this summer! Dgs almost 7yrs old, is getting exposed to their music. He loves Patty Murphy. I love It's the end of the world as we know it, (and I feel fine!) last lyrics. How cool is that. :goodvibes

My parents had to leave "The Rock" for employment, in 1945. As many have had to since. But, only a third left. So, thankfully I have more family on the Island then, the Mainland. = many, visits "Home". ;)
