DH and I started posting on another Disney board shortly after he finished his PhD (in Chemistry.) After all the names we wanted were taken, he came up with DisneyPhD. Mostly it was because his students joked he knew as much about Disney as chemistry.

I ended up posting more then him and stole the name. Really I should change it to Mrs. PhD, that fits me more. DH should be "The Real PhD".


I don't have a PhD (but I do have an MSW I worked darn hard for.)

When my Goddaughter was born my DS and BIL did me the honor of giving me a namesake. To differentiate when she was a baby we called her by her full name Michelle Catherine. One day, when she was a little older, my sister made a mistake of calling me Michelle. My Goddaughter was irate (at 3 - full fury) - "that's not Michelle, I'm Michelle (sniff, sniffle, sob)! She's (pointing at me) Aunt Michelle." No one in my family has called me Michelle since.

When I was in my early teens my mom started calling me che-winkers. Maybe it was a play on my first name che'rie?.........Why I don't know, but it stuck and was shortened to winkers. She and my younger siblings still call me that.

Jeka Jeka is my nick name that only my closest family and friends call me because when I was 3 years old, I couldn't pronounce Jessica. I could only say "Jeka-Jeka" thus my nic was born, and Lynn is my middle name.
