Your UK Staycation questions answered.

Formatting edits are proving difficult, but I've updated some details on paper menus, interacting with guest services without the app, and availability of activities though-out the day. Cruise Director told me yesterday that there are just over 1,200 guests onboard, to roughly 900 crew.

Sorry to keep multi-posting, fairly major update to the rainforest room, I think they were really struggling to get people to take the previous offer! Small update to ease of access to various activities.

So if you have two people for rainforest, the cost is $118?

No, $29 per person, so $58, and it's just the two of you for 45 minutes. Sorry if I confused you. It's WAY more reasonable now.

Again, talking with staff tonight, a whole bunch more restrictions changed today, hence why the pools where suddenly so crowded. I was very glad we had a large veranda to ourselves to retreat to.

Also swung by Palo just to see their menu and BOY does it seem sparse...no way I'd pay $90 for us to eat there. Animators Palette lived up to expectations, Lumiere's had no atmosphere but it was the welcome night so it's possible it will be different when we eat there again.

Most of the staff have been lovely, our housekeeping is a bit underwhelming but I'm not letting that rain on my parade, and it's clear they are TRYING to be helpful, but throwing out my room service by mistake before we'd even opened it was...frustrating. 😂

Hi I appreciate your honest reporting. Do you know why more restrictions were changed on the fly?
Also how has housekeeping been underwhelming? I Know it has been happening for a lot of hotels
here in the states. Thanks!.....and please keep posting

Would love more info on what other restrictions have changed please.

I don't know why, I can speculate it's because people were complaining about not being able to access some activities do to social distancing, which has no largely been abandoned from what I can see, with the exception of restaurant table spacing, elevator use and the spa. Masks indoors are still required, and almost everyone seems to be complying.

Our housekeeper is hard to communicate with because he doesn't listen to what I'm actually asking all the time, our room didn't have everything it was supposed to when we arrived, and he threw away one of our room service meals before we had a chance to eat it. I don't intend to complain, it just hasn't been as exceptional as the other cast members. He's at least excelling at his towel animals. 😊

Some of the performers have been really under advertised, which is a shame because they've been great. We had a concert last night in Fathoms starring the lady who played Mother Gothal in the Tangled show on DCL and there were like, 14-16 people in the audience because it hadn't been advertised at all - possibly a last minute addition, but she's doing two performances per night. Hopefully the 9pm show was fuller. The frustration is that the show was great, and if Disney had advertised it pre-cruise we would have been excited to do it!

What does this mean? Are some people walking around without them?

How do you book the rainforest room? That price point seems much more reasonable, so I'm interested now and I can't see it as an option on the app.

The only way I know is to go to the spa in person once you are on board. Seemed to be lots of availability on our cruise.

Very few. Maybe less than 20 I've seen on the whole cruise. Some people are not putting them on if the are just popping to the toilet from outside.

DW and I took my mask off for a picture a cast member was taking outside lumieres and after the photo he told me to put my mask back on right away.

I think some people have been taking them off once they sit down inside for an activity, which isn't allowed. There was a ship-wide reminder this morning reminding everyone you can only take off inside during the process of eating or drinking.

Saw one person in theatre asked to put mask back on, almost all seem compliant.

I'm not sure you can answer these, but I'm curious about specifically how the drink station works: I understand a cast member is serving there, but is this still true 24 hours? And, I used to do be able to have a self-made float with the Eye Scream and coke: not sure this is possible anymore?

Family pool info has been updated. It's now a physical queue, not a virtual one.

Is this the same process for the adult pool? Also for this physical queue and time slot of 15 minutes - does that mean you have to leave the area completely after your 15 minutes (i.e. no sitting and sunbathing for a period of more than 15 minutes). Does this only apply to the immediate pool deck or the upper deck of chairs as well?

Drink Station is still 24 hour, yes a cast member was serving as of my cruise 23-27 July. I didn't go to Eyescream, but I'm sure you could ask the cast to do it.

No, Adult pool was first-come first-serve, and self-policed. The hot tub signs said max 15 minutes, I never once saw anyone abuse this. People were very considerate, and I reciprocated, if I was doing laps in the pool and it looked like people wanted in I would chat with them and work things out. Multiple times I was doing laps with 2 others, the pool is wide enough for 3 lanes if people are considerate.

15 minutes was just for pool, sunbeds there was no limit and first come first serve. I'd recommend trying to claim your spot before 10am, after that it gets busy.
