I was wondering what Whispering Canyons Cafe is like. Please let me know what you thought of it. Thanks! :thumbsup2

Many love it, many hate it and some think it's just ok.

If the menu appeals to you, go for it! You could really luck out and get a great server!!

(We didn't and we aren't rushing back - but so many really love it, I can't give it a complete thumbs down)

It's one of our favorites! The atmosphere there is so much fun for young children, but it is not in-your-face the whole time so you can sit and enjoy a nice meal. I like bbq, so I liked the menu although I certainly would not call it "fancy" food.

We liked it enough that during our stay at WL, we ate their twice.

My family loves it. We ordered the family bbq skillet and enjoyed the food, but IMO the best part is the atmosphere.

For atmosphere & Fun, I'd give it a 10 (from a scale of 1-10).

For food, I'd only give it a 6.

My family loves WCC. The skillet is good. That's the only item we have ordered (other than kids' meals). The kids are entertained during the meal (and before w/ the Lincoln Logs.) Be sure to ask for ketchup and crayons!

We are fans as well. My family enjoys the skillet - the barbecue ribs, chicken, etc. We also enjoy the antics. Sure it's not for everyone, but we can get into it! The food is pretty good, too!

:)

When we went to plan our family trip this year, I asked the girls to help me pick where they wanted to eat. The first thing they said is we HAD to go back to Whispering Canyon! This is the only repeat we are doing this year. We loved the atmosphere, the fun and we really did enjoy the skillet meal. You'll have a great time!

Good atmosphere and fun. Last time we went we were all disappointed with the skillet. It all seemed premade and dried out. I would return someday but just order off the menu, not the skillet again.

Thanks for all of your responses! I just made a ressie for there for our last day at WDW. We are going to MK for EMH, head over to WCC for a late lunch, and then start our drive back to Philly...

We had a great time. Our server was fun and the ones we saw around us were also fun. We had a great time. The food was ok nothing great but not bad. We will surely go again. Especially now that we will be taking our duaghter.

I just went and double checked the menu and just changed our ressie for an early dinner instead of a lunch. I liked the dinner menu better!

We love this restaurant, especially the kids! It was a really fun place for them. We are going back in November and taking the whole family this time!:goodvibes

Trust me: If you want to enjoy your meal there...you will need Ketsup.
Make sure you ask for some with your meal:rolleyes1

Ok, KMK... but you are not the first person to suggest this.... I am starting to suspect something! :goodvibes

Please, Please, Please do not depend on a great server to make or break your meal.

We tried to prod our server into antics - any kind of antics - for our entire meal.

He was not so moved.

We were really looking forward to our fun meal, and were fresh off of an amazing experience at 50's PTC.

It did not happen.

I am NOT saying don't go, I am just cautioning that the servers are not always fun.
