I have a party of 10 family members and we will be at the AKL in mid December. We are 8 adults and 2 teens - my DD15 and her DBF15 (best friend). It will be DD's friend's first time. They surprised me yesterday by saying that they would LOVE to do a character meal :headache: . I thought they would feel "too old" for that. Now at this late time, I have to select a character meal. I clearly see that I need your advice. Which character dining? - based on food quality, suitability for teens, ease of getting ADR for 10 at this time. We would prefer breakfast.
BTW it's our first time on DDP
TIA

Well Cape May would proably be your best chance but you can try them all and call and call and call everyday maybe 3 to 4 times a day people cancel all the time! next I would try 1900 Park Fare,CP I would try the resort Character Breakfast first Well Good Luck!!!!

Crystal Palace at MK was taking walk-ups when we were there last year during free dining -

and when you call to find out what's available, do tell the CM you will "split up your large group" into 2 groups of 5 or 3 groups of whatever is available to make an adr -

and then upon checking in, ask how long a wait you would have if it would even be possible to be seated together, often they are able to accomadate you with the earliest adrs...

good luck!! :wizard:

Our favorites are The Cape May Character Buffet at the Beach Club(Goofy, Chip, Dale and Minnie in swim attire) and 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian(Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger or Eeyore).

There is also a character breakfast at Tusker house in Animal Kingdom (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy in Safari attire).

Have a great time!!

I agree Cape May is the best shot for you, the food is great and the characters are sooooo cute

If you can get in I'd say the dinner at Park Faire with the Step-Sisters. DD17 had a great time with them at MK in April. Their "attitude" is very entertaining to teens!:lmao:

Thanks for all the great input! I managed to secure 2 tables for 6 and 4 at Crystal Palace. 1900 Park Fare with "attitude" sounded really tempting but DD and friend say Mickey is a must.....but they'll settle for Pooh and Tigger. (I hope I was right when I told them no Mickey at CP) Will definitely keep trying for CM. I can't thank you guys enough for all the info I've learnt on this board.
