your favorite week

Due to work conferences, I've been practically every month of the year to WDW. My favorite, if watching the funds, is the 1st week in December since all of the holiday decorations and events are going on. However, if I can afford it, I also like the last week in April or the 1st week of May so that I can see the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. It's more expensive than December and can be a bit hotter, but it's still WDW!

We were there the last week of January 2013 and it was wonderful. Warm days (70's and low 80's) and cool nights. The best thing was the low humidity. The crowds were very low. The only drawback is the parks close early and it was too cool to swim. We packed both shorts and jeans but could have used a jacket one night when we about froze watching the fireworks so layers are best. I've been twice in late April/early May and the crowds weren't bad but I hated the humidity. I'd never go in the summer unless it was free!

3rd week in November. Typically low crowds up till the weekend, weather ok (maybe a bit chilly) and Christmas decorations are up.

First full week in December or the middle of September. Both times were low crowds and very different but nice. December had the beauty of decor and September had the uber warm weather we don't get much of in PA.

October 31-November 7, you get both MNSSHP and MVMCP and you also get the end of F&W

Alternatively early May, you get Flower and Garden, relatively low crowds and usually nice weather

We LOVE the 1st week of December. You get the Christmas decorations and reasonable crowd levels. Weather can really vary but overall I would rather have cooler weather then blazing hot and stormy.

Spring Break - NEVER again
Arriving Sunday after Thanksgiving is a very good time.
Mid November also a good time
January - Marathon weekend and lots of tour groups.....don't think I'll do that again.

Heading down the last week of this month. We'll see how that goes. Never been during F&W. Told my DH I had to go to do research for next year's "Cousin's Trip" :lmao: JK!! He knows my love for the mouse!!!

The first week in May is my favorite - low crowds, nice weather, and Flower and Garden at Epcot.

We went the first week of December last year and it was horrible! I think because it was also the week after Thanksgiving, the people who like those two options all came the same week.

We were booked second week of May and I just switched to last week of March due to late winter discount. Plus I was having second thoughts about taking kids out of school. Hoping I dont regret it. Easter is a week later so I am hopeful we will miss the huge crowds.

To answer the question we went in mid October last year and it was great both crowd-wise and weather wise.

Our best trip yet was around the end of the first week of November. You can catch the end of food and wine, see the festival of the masters art show, and catch one of the first Christmas parties. Not bad for not much more than a long weekend. :)
