Your favorite UK shows, please.

We watch mostly UK shows, so this is easy for me:

Doctor Who
Torchwood
Gavin and Stacey
Never Mind the Buzz c o c k s (quiz show)
Little Britain
The Mighty Boosh
Coupling
Peep Show
The Catherine Tate Show
That Mitchell and Webb Look
The Inbetweeners
FM
The Friday/Sunday Night Project

We absolutely love British sketch comedy and quiz shows...In general we just find UK television to be much more engaging, well written, and well acted than most US TV.

I never realised how many british shows I watch until now.

I did not see Demons (Van Helsing) listed yet.

Being Human is one of my new faves. The actor who plays Mitchell is hot!

We schedule our lives around new episodes of Doctor Who. It's addicting.

Agreed! And he has just been signed to play Kili in the two "The Hobbit" movie prequels to "The Lord of the Rings". His stock is about to rise, big time. :)

:thumbsup2 I'll take him in any form I can get!

LOL... My kids are watching LOTR right now.

Two oldies but goodies I would add are Black Adder and Absolutely Fabulous.

A couple of older comedies that you can get on DVD:

Chef!
Red Dwarf
Men Behaving Badly

and one Australian police drama:

Water Rats

Catherine Tate was also a blast as Donna (I use the one liners all the time)!

Plus for the pretty factor Torchwood is loaded with it :happytv:

Not a show per se but coverage of the EPL is my favorite thing from England that is shown on the TV.

Keeping up Appearances and As Time Goes By. Another PP said they like the Vicker of Dibley, I like that one also, but I can't find it anymore. I also liked Ab Fab.

Doctor Who
Torchwood
Primeval
Being Human
Vicar of Dibley
Are You Being Served?
As Time Goes By
My Family

I've always loved British television - ever since watching Are You Being Served for the first time. Since then BBC America is a must have station in our house. I've started watching Law and Order - UK now. It's pretty good, not sure if I can list it as a favorite just yet.

I've heard great things about Top Gear. I know the US version is coming out next month, but I'll see if the UK one is running on BBCA. Sounds like something me and DH both will like.

It's on fairly often, so you should be able to catch it. 60 Minutes did a segment about the show on their last episode; you can catch it on Hulu. DH and I (and even our 11 yr old DD) love it.

I loved Coupling. Started watching it because of Jack Davenport (Commodore Norrington from the POTC movies...YUM), and got all sucked in because it was so funny.

Top Gear Season 9 episode 2 its starts off in Florida... I think I'll watch it now while I clean and the baby is sleeping... best one EVER.

I've also heard the UP series (even though it's technically called a "film") is supposed to be really good. We haven't watched it yet, and they took some of it out of instant, so it might be a while before we do get to it.
