Just looking for recommendations. What's your favorite sweet and fruity wine?

Are you talking wine cooler sweet or regular wine sweet?

I like a merlot or cabernet sauvignon. My favorite inexpensive one right now is Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi cabernet.

Is merlot supposed to be sweet? Either I'm drinking the wrong merlot or I have a different definition of sweet (which is likely the case!)

I like Concord (red) or Niagara (white).

I go to local wineries.

I like to make my own sangria both red and white.
It's more a summer drink for me.
Otherwise Chinen Blanc is about the sweetest I get.

Kendall Jackson Riesling is what I've been enjoying lately. And yes, generally merlot is a dry wine.

I love Icewine! Whenever I make chocolate cake I need icewine to go with it, darn LeCellier!

Niagara by Forks of Cheat Winery in Morgantown, WV.

My DBF's BIL says it tastes like grape juice. It is the only wine I really like. The have a red one that is really sweet too.

When I go to a restaurant and request a sweet fruity white wine they always bring me a Kendall Jackson something. No where near as sweet and smooth as the Niagara.

I always have a box of Hardy's Reisling in my refrigerator. It's in a bright green box. Other than that, I'm lucky to have 2 wineries that are very close, so I stock up when I visit and taste-test. I can't drink anything listed as dry --- they taste like poison to me!

I had Miscato (I think that is how you spell it) at the Olive Garden the other day. It was yummy!

You might like Muscato or Muscat wines, these are white wines that tend to be sweet. If you are looking for a sweet red you might like the new JamJar Sweet Shiraz 2009.

Fruity and sweet - sounds like you would enjoy Sangria.

Riesling wines, especially German Rieslings would be a good place to start. If you ask for a sweet red wine you are likely to get a dessert or a port wine. You may like Lambrusco and Zinfandel. Riunite is one you may want to try.

Riesling, a Leitz variety, unfortunately since the label is in German I have no idea what it says all I know is that its my favorite.

My new favorite is called New Age. It is from Argentina. It is sweet and fruity but is also crisp so not SOOO sweet. It is almost like a Champagne.
