Looking to hear your favorite spot and tips for watching the MK parade, also how early in advance to arrive (mid-May). Thanks!

I like watching right on Main Street, because I like seeing the castle in the background, especially when taking photos.

I'd probably claim a spot 45 minutes in advance. 15-20 minutes later if watching from Frontierland or Liberty Square.

In front of Country Bears Jamboree. Usually, showing up 30-40 min. in advance is fine. If it's a very busy day, make it 60 min. And one person can go see the Country Bears while the rest hold onto the viewing spot (the parade will pass right in front of you).

We were just at MK earlier this week and watched the Festival of Fantasy parade from a spot right between Pecos Bill and the Country Bear Jamboree. It was a great spot because there was a railing to lean against and my kids had some garbage cans right next to them so they didn't have to worry about anyone cramming in at the last second. We ended up there because we went to the Country Bear show to cool off for a few minutes and that spot was right near where the exit dumped us out. We got there at around 2:40 and my kids counted logs coming down Splash Mountain to kill time until the parade started. :) The opposite side of the street (by the water) was much more crowded than the side we were on.

I also like the Frontierland spots. It is less crowded there and you see the beginning of the parade and can move on to other things more quickly than those still waiting at the head of Main Street. It's a great time to slip right over to Splesh or Big Thunder!

I usually watch FoF from behind Sleepy Hollow, sitting on the wall that starts the walkway back to the castle....great view, and nobody is in my way! and even the characters can see us!

The only time I've seen FoF, we were sitting on the curb right in front of the castle. It was fabulous! We got a lot of interaction with the walking characters, and it was just a great view watching it go around that little circle and then heading down Main Street.

We watched Once Upon a Christmastime in Frontierland, right up against a railing with trashcans nearby. It was a great spot too. Tigger came and kissed my hand. :)

I love the FoF parade. Hoping to catch it again in June, probably in Frontierland since we have a FastPass for Splash Mountain 3:30-4:30.

Just to put things in perspective, the FoF parade will be fully concluded and gone in front of Country Bears by 3:15.

So, if you choose to watch from, say, Hall of Presidents, (parade will be concluded there by about 3:20-ish) you'd still have a full hour and 15 min. grace period to get to Splash.

It's fine if you want to watch in Frontierland (in fact, I recommend it) but,
you won't necessarily need to do so just because of your Splash FP.

This is good to know because we are going to be eating at Liberty Tree Tavern before the parade. So we will have until around 3:20?

Hmm...that's a good point. Kind of makes me want to move that FastPass (and all of the ones after it) up a bit.
Thanks, Robo!

We were at MK the day after Halloween, we were walking down Main Street and were about to leave when I heard the parade starting, so we just stopped in front of the Starbucks, plenty of room.

Can I just say, that parade is AMAZING! We had no intention of watching it and I just enjoyed it so much! A highlight of trip for sure.

On our last trip I discovered the Festival of Fantasy Dining Package, which got us a meal at Tony's (which was actually pretty good!) and then preferred seating right in the the middle of the main street courtyard (by the entrance to the park opposite the train station) It was all roped off and there was a CM there checking tickets and asking guests without tickets to leave. There were only about 20 of us there- we could relax on a bench, my kids could dance to the music and spin and twirl (my daughters favorite thing to do!) and all the characters made eye contact with the kids because they were the only kids on our little section! I think that may be our new go to plan! We had the dining plan and it was just 1 TS meal. It was so pleasant to not be crowded in and have space to move and still be on the front row- it was the row!

The head of the FoF parade will reach Liberty Tree by 3:12-ish.

my go to spots are by sleepy hollow just before the bridge, in front of HOP, or right at the start gate, adventured side of the street
