Are there any shady spots? Going this June

Some spots on the porches on Frontierland. One full side of Main Street. I'd sort of like to know how early I have to get to Main Street to get a spot in the shade.

Not big on interacting with the walking characters, so I like the upper level of the Main Street Train Station. Once it's over, catch the next train to Frontierland to do Splash and Big Thunder.

I actually love the FOF parade, but after a couple of times, I'm satisfied with just a glance of it as I'm walking from one place in the park to another. I don't feel I'm having fun if I'm waiting 30 minutes or more for a parade.

On a deck platform in front of the Frontierland Shootin' Arcade. If you sit facing the street, it's only one person deep at that point, so you can either stand up with they rope it off, or let some kids on front of you because you're sitting up high and can still see everything. Even if you have to sit facing away from the street to wait, you can stand on the platform and see everything with no problem.

There are benches behind the platform that are fine to see everything if you stand on them. The majority of the floats and name characters on the floats are above head level so you don't miss anything. We've stood back there and Prince Naveen yelled a Happy Anniversary to us and asked us how many years. We had a conversation with him lol. And we weren't right up front.

Totally agree that giving up park time to sit and wait is not as necessary when the parade is so high up vs other parades. Just stop while it's going by as you are walking from one place to another. It's okay to watch from behind other people.

Love this parade but rarely get to see it since we mid-day break well before three no matter what park were at. That's the hottest part of the day.
