Your Favorite Resort?

Mine is Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's a beautiful resort, it's fun to see the animals, & Boma is my favorite WDW restaurant.

A close 2nd would be Beach Club. Location, location, location. Being so close to World Showcase is so nice! Plus, Stormalong Bay (the pool) is awesome!!!

In the moderates, my fave is Coronado Springs. Beautiful grounds & a great pool.

our family's fav resort is hands down the WL. the whole feel is amazing, and everyone there is so welcoming! transportation can be a pain, but we rent a car so it doesnt really affect us.
the beach club is also great. its casual, and is an easy walk or ride to mgm or epcot. plus its got the best pool!:)

if money is no object than the Polynesian is magical and beautiful. There really is nothing else that even comes close (not even the Grand Floridian) If you don't have 3-4 hundred a nigh to spend, then I would recommend the Wilderness lodge next, then Animal Kingdom. They are deluxe but affordable. We stayed at the WL last year and paid like 200 a night with an annual pass
discount.

I personally would avoid Caribbean beach Resort. I really did not enjoy it there. It felt too much like a motel. (and no elevators which is hard with a stroller if you are not on the first floor.

Anywhere you choose will be wonderful because of where you are going.
HAVE FUN!

My favorite is the Poly! I love the atmosphere. Can't believe how quiet it can seem at night and you know there's plenty of people booked. As mentioned above, watching wishes from the beach is great. And the convenience is a real plus.

On the moderates - I love POR (Dixie Landings forever!!). I love how it is spread out and again, so peaceful.

On the values, I've only stayed at POP and thought it was pretty cool. It was only me so there was no problem with space.

Poly hands down. I asked my DH and he didn't even hesitate before saying Poly. It has such an awesome relaxed atmosphere. As soon as you walk in you feel the Aloha feeling! Everyone is so friendly and helpful! It is expensive and we can't afford it every time but we try to stay at poly as often as we can! We absolutely love it!

We love the Wilderness Lodge. When staying there you really feel like you are in the woods. It has a very laid back atmosphere. We have never, ever had trouble with the transportation. Moderate resorts---we like CBR. The rooms are larger than the other moderates and we like the caribbean feel of the resort.

Value--Like Pop better than the All Stars.

We also love Old Key West, for the size of the resort and the boat to DD. Boardwalk is great too--walking distance to two parks!

Have fun on your vacation.!

Well, my favorite is Fort Wilderness. We have camped there in a tent, a popup, and next time will be in our travel trailer. They also have cabins that sleep 6 and have a full kitchen with maid service.

The atmosphere is so quiet and relaxing. The boat service to MK is great. You also park right at your door so you can drive to any park you want without taking a bus. They also have a nightly outdoor singalong with Chip and Dale and a movie.

Another plus is the price. A partial campsite is usually around $50 per night and a full is around $60. With 5 kids still at home, it is the only place for us. The cabins are around $250 per night, but they sleep only 6 and we are 7.

AKL because it has a great atmosphere and if you get a room with a view it's so pretty! I love the whole African theme of the place. =]

I've stayed at 3 places: Coronado Springs; Saratoga Springs; and Ft. Wilderness. My all time favorite is the cabins at Ft. Wilderness. My next favorite is Saratoga Springs.

Here's why:

Ft. Wilderness: The cabins are spacious and have that touch of "home". The cabin we stayed in had a full kitchen, dining room, living room (with a drop down bed); a huge bathroom; and a bedroom that could easly sleep a family of 4 (full bed & a bunk bed). One we got used to the buses and how they run (which didn't take long) we felt very at ease and never felt as if we'd get lost "in the woods". We saw deer and lots of rabbits too. Oh and we had a deck which also had a BBQ pit if we wanted to BBQ. And the best thing - Mousekeeping! It was only DH & I in the cabin and we only used 2 coffee cups each morning and they came in and put any dishes we had into the dishwasher and they were clean for us (yes - the cabin had a coffee make and a dishwasher). Oh and it did have dishes and utensils too. Would I stay here again? YES - most definitely. (I just wish it were a DVC)!

Saratoga Springs: We are DVC members and SSR is our home resort and have only stayed in the Studio so far (plan to stay in a 1-bedroom in 2 weeks; and in a 2-bedroom for my November trip). The studio is great for 2 people (though they say it will sleep up to 4). Yes it will, but it would make for cramped quarters if you were going with another couple for example. The resort itself is very nice - beautiful landscape and lots of ducks. :) Would I stay here again - yes!

Coronado Springs: My last stay here was in the late 1990s for a conference. It was ok; I was not impressed with the decore, the room, or the food. Would I stay there again? Not if I can help it. (just my opinion).

Well, we love the Beach Club! We usually do MK during the day and eat at a world showcase country for dinner, so we can just trot back to the room-no waiting!!! But, if you want close to the MK, we like the Contemporary the best. We've stayed at the Poly and the GF, and they were nice, but we just like the C. better. I haven't been there in 2 years, so I don't know what the rooms look like since all the reno's. Hope you enjoy the boards as much as I do! I have gotten the best tips ever right here!! Welcome Aboard!

For all around everything being equal, i.e. value, theme and overall greatness...WL. I love the Poly, spent a 12 day honeymoon there but the price far out weighs the beauty of the place. I would be broke if I spent a week there.

Being a long time beach person, I just love OKW!!!!!:thumbsup2 :cool1: :thumbsup2
