Your favorite resort restaurant

It's interesting nobody picked the Yachtsman Steakhouse
They have good food as well, but not my favorite.
The AKL restaurants have some of the best food on property period. Jiko for Signature, Boma is maybe the best buffet on property and Sanaa for lunch with a view of the Animals... It's just hard to beat. By far the most unique flavor profiles on property.
Sebastian's is another gem for unique flavor profiles.

Unfortunately, my favourites are yet to reopen. Victoria & Albert’s is in a class of its own. It is a fine dining experience where each dish is crafted with sublime technique and luscious ingredients, many rarely, if ever, seen in other WDW restaurants. My other still closed go to is Flying Fish. It was consistently good with knowledgeable and attentive wait staff. We loved it. My other recommendation would be Citrico’s. We are yet to try the remodelled version, which seems to have been very well received. But, we enjoyed the old version and look forward, with anticipation to the new menu.

Trattoria al Forno at Boardwalk hands down.

My family and I also enjoyed 1900 Park Faire breakfast when it was offered pre Covid. Hope it comes back.

As for best quick service? Riverside Mill Food Court at POR

As for bars and lounges? River Roost at POR and Abracadabar at Boardwalk.

Since no one's mentioned this yet: Grand Floridian Cafe. TS restaurant, ADR usually needed but not always, sometimes there's outdoor seating, and a great menu. We always eat there at least once per trip.

Don't waste your time at Sanaa. Other than the bread service (which you can get at the lounge) there is nothing that great. The chef changed and it used to be our must do when they had Bison Masala and chai cream dessert on the menu.

Boma is the best. It topped Ohana and Space220 and was requested by our teen and 5 year old to repeat (we had to take a cab to get there and come back). You can get pita and 3 different types of humus; Oxtail soup was so flavorful. Avacado papaya salad was mouthwatering (I didn't think I would like it, but it was wonderful. The butternut squash soup was more pumpkin flavored. There was also cottage cheese with grilled pineapple and a spice cake with grilled pineapple and condensed milk topping. I loved the passion fruit tarts in the past but they changed them into a more sweet version.

Here is the allears review:

Steakhouse71 was good, but the walk from MK was long and tiring. We went for lunch. The atmosphere is ok, but the crab cakes, bread, steak, chocolate cake and crème brulee were awesome. It was the cheapest meal we had and our bill for 2 adults, 1 teen, 1 child and 1 infant was $180. We chose not to repeat and cancelled a second reservation (lunch; we already had other plans for dinner). The chef went above and beyond for allergies and assured us that the chocolate cake was nut free. I would definitely repeat for a dinner reservation.

And right now Ohana is a definite no. Waste of time and money. Everything was cold and salty. Until they start serving hot skewers at your table, I would just pass, especially if you’ve been a fan like us and it’s your must do. Dumplings were good, shrimp cold but ok, chicken same. However, the beef was covered excessively with a salty BBQ sauce and inedible (medium done but tough to chew). It was definitely sitting around for a while. If you’re going for the salad, salty coconut bread scones, and cold noodles, then it’s fine. Otherwise you will be greatly disappointed. We saw other tables with meats barely touched as well. The bread pudding was still as good as we remember.

I totally agree with the review above for Ohana. I loved Citricos. Food at Cali Grill was very good, but I hate the prix fixe idea. It's not a Disney Resort, but my favorite is Shula's at the Dolphin. Best steak on property IMHO. We love Grand Floridian cafe for breakfast.

Honestly, Shula's is better and right next door. Both are pricey, but shula's has been a much better experience for us going back to about 2 years pre covid up to our trip in October this year.

Ohana has been hard carried by that bread pudding for years at this point. That and people somehow still treating it as if the rest of the food and service is like it was 10 years ago and recommending it as a must do as recently as a few weeks ago (TTA Podcast, for example)

Disney is not incentivized to do anything when ohana seems to still be a top recommendation to people who ask "where should I eat?" In less niche areas of Disney discourse than on these boards.

I don't think anything this restaurant does negativly beat its nostalgia and bread pudding combo. And unfortunately Disney finally figured that out.
