Your favorite Moderate resort???

I was just trying to get a feel for what everyone's favorite moderate Disney resort was and why. I am leaning towards Coronado Springs in November. What about you?

CS is the only moderate that we have not tried. However of the other moderates, POFQ is by far my favorite. It's smaller than the rest and just seems quieter and more relaxing.

Last trip we stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter. We loved so many things about it - beautiful grounds, boat to DTD, fairly short bus rides to the park, short walk from room to pool or buses, water slide for the kiddos, and friendly staff (esp. the greeter). Only 2 things we didn't like - the food situation - no sit down option and the food court was a bit small, plus the floatworks decor seriously scared my DS - and we weren't crazy about when we'd have to share a bus with POR, since it would make the trip sooo much longer with all of their stops.

Neither one was a deal breaker though - we'd happily return there next trip! (Although in fairness we haven't been to other moderates to compare)

We have only stayed at one and that is the Coronado (CSR) and we've stayed nine times. We love everything about it: the fact that it is spread out makes it less "busy" and more peaceful, friendly staff, good food, great main pool (longest slide of the moderates), three quiet pools, largest hot tub of the moderates, can get a massage, sand volleyball, 3 pretty villages, etc.

We have visited all of the other moderates numerous times and, if the CSR were not available, we would pick the POR-Riverside in a heartbeat (great food court). POFQ and CBR would be at the bottom of our choices; not that there is anything wrong with them, they just don't appeal to us for one reason or another.

We really enjoyed CSR and would highly recommend it. We liked it MUCH more than CBR, but we stayed there before the main pool renovation. We're not sold forever and ever on CSR at the exclusion of all other moderates, but we would all definitely return. Our next choice for a mod would be POR, would love to try a new royal room.

The only one we haven't stayed at is CSR. So in order of our favorite ranking: CBR, POFQ and POR.

We really liked Caribbean Beach Resort. The rooms are larger, the atmosphere is so vibrant and pretty.

Second favorite is probably Coronado Springs. Rooms seem upper scale for a moderate and the theming was fun.

POFQ was nice, but we found it a bit too small for our taste. I also didn't love the room decor.

Havent stayed at POR since it was Dixie Landings but it's on our list for future trips!

I absolutely love CSR. I enjoyed this resort more than the Poly. Buses are great from here as well.

My fave is POFQ. It's small and beautiful. I also like that it's connected to POR, it's a nice walk over and it gives you an extra choice of food courts. I also like the boat service to DTD.

Our favorite is POFQ, with Coronado Springs coming in a close second. POFQ only has the one bus stop. The buses at POFQ are shared with POR on all but Magic Kingdom buses, however, the extra stops make the trip no longer than Coronado Springs. Even though CS does not share buses with another resort, they do have several stops within the resort which makes them about equal with POFQ/POR buses.
Another plus to POFQ is Wed thru Sat. evenings, Elliot Dyson is playing in the Scat Cat Club. He plays several different instruments as well as sings songs ranging from Frank Sinatra to Jimmy Buffet to Neil Diamond to the Beatles to Elvis.

POFQ is our favorite. In fact this is the first trip we won't be staying there. We are trying out the renting of DVC points for BCV and AKV. I hope I like it as much as I love POFQ.
