Your Favorite Drinks (spiked) Around The World Showcase?

Just curious to know what your favorite alcoholic drinks are in Epoct's World Showcase? I think I read a post in the past where people do "Drinking Around The World." I know this post may seem a little strange, but don't worry my DH and I are not sponges. We're just taking a trip without the kids next year and would like to have a few drinks and relax as we walk around the World Showcase.

The strawberry margarita in Mexico is my favorite hands down-- specifically the San Angel Inn. On the opposite side of the coin dh and I can't stand the Beer in the UK--- the light one in the 1/2 yard. We dumped it after only a few sips.

Margaritas at San Angel and pints of Harp at Rose & Crown. When we are there during Food & Wine Festival, we enjoy sampling different wines as we stroll.

Don't forget to have a Ringnes in Norway...mmmm! Can't wait til July 12. And you can have a Becks in Germany (light or dark), followed by a Casablanca beer in Morocco (sp?). Don't dare pass America without having the best beer ever - SAM ADAMS!

I love the margaritas at San Angel - on the rocks! Not too crazy about the frozen ones outside, though.

If you like wine, there are a few places to have a glass. I prefer Italian wines, so I spend a lot of time at the Italy pavilion. We did a sample of German wines, too. For a few dollars (I forget the cost), you can sample a variety of German wines. It was fun to try wines I have never had before.

My cousin LOVES the Ringnes in Norway. He lives in GA and when he came home from WDW he looked all over GA to find a store that sold it. He couldn't find any, so he called EPCOT directly. They told him only a few places in the US sell it. He found out that a place near me sold it (I live in NJ). When I went to the store to see if they had any, they told me they stopped selling it. My cousin was so upset. He told me to try the same store chain 40 min. from my house. When I went there they had it and I called him to tell him the good news. He asked me to buy 4 cases of it and to drive it down with me when I came down to see him. So my DH and DD andI spent 15 hours in the car with 4 cases of Ringnes and no room for our stuff. He still has 1 case left and savors each bottle. Try it you might like it too. But, I don't think as much as he does.

There is a drink on the Rose and Crown drink menu that I love! I unfortunatly do not remember the name, except that the word "Welsh" is in it and it is a green drink. It had Midori in it, and it was wonderful. I ordered it the first time during a lunch there, then I ordered it again during a DATW DIS mini-meet at DIS CON II in Dec. Others followed my lead and ordered this drink to go during DATW, anybody remember the name? I bet someone even took a picture of us drinking them! Unfortunately I did not!

Thats a Welsh Dragon - the English Rose is quite good as well.

We went again last January and have our 4th annual pictures, but haven't had a chance to put them up yet.

My personal favorites for mixed drinks are at Matsu No Ma lounge in Japan - we always get stuck there!

A few years back we did the 'Brew-n-View' at UK where we drank pints of Bass Ale (too many if I recall) and were in a roped off area to watch Illuminations. It was great - good ale and a great location to watch the show. Does the UK still do this?

Now if I could only remember the actual show...

They apparently only have this stuff when it's cold out, but last December the German pavilion would sell you a glass of hot spiced wine. That stuff was GREAT.

I would LOVE that brew-n-view thing! It'd be cool if they still did this. Is it a private party or could it possibly be something one person could book?

I thought the Fiesta margarita was fun- didn't pack a whollop for me though. It was layers of frozen margarita- strawberry, mango & one other flavor which escapes me (it was green...lime maybe?). I bought this outside the Cantina in Mexico.

My husband loved the light beer that came in a yard from the UK.

I enjoyed the frozen original margarita at Cantina San Angel. It was delicious, and believe me... I only needed one!

I'm nuts about the Woodpecker Hard Cider at the Rose & Crown.

Melissa, you and your friends are something else. My DH and myself have been trying to do the entire Showcase in a day and can't seem to make it. And we don't even count the Outpost! We like to start with a glass of champaign in France and then try to do beer the rest of the way. But by the time that we finish the Viking in Norway we are usually ready to call it a day. Then we start in Norway the following day with another Viking and finally make it around to the UK. My hat's off to you and your crew. I do like to finish off at the UK with a car bomb. If you haven't had one of these it is a 3/4 full pint of Guiness with a double shot glass that is half Jamison's and Baily's. You drop the shot in the Guiness and drink it as fast as possible. If you don't drink it quickly the Guiness starts to curdle the Bailey's and you won't like the outcome. Cheers to all!
