We are having lunch at Blue Bayou for the 1st time...I am considering switching to dinner instead only for the surf & turf. Thoughts??

What's your favorite menu item there? Don't forget dessert! :woohoo:

I love both the surf and turf and the braised ribs(not sure if they are still on the menu), wished they still had the prime rib though. We do mostly lunches better chance at waterside for the 6 of us.Wife likes the chicken.
Have a great experience.

Thanks Jack! Do you request waterside when you arrive? Our ressie is for 11:40...

I prefere the Surf and Turf. Chicken is great too.

Yes when you arrive ask for water side. It will add about 15 minutes to your wait for a table.

We love the Monte cristo, Surf and Turf as well as the Braised Ribs and Chicken.

Make sure you ask for the waterside seating. They amy tell you it is a long wait to get in. Most of the time if you say yes it is a short wait. Since your Ressie is early you should be fine.

Enjoy!

I agree with the others. Really love the surf & turf, which is only served at dinner. To me, that makes it worth waiting for dinner. And yes, ask for a water-side table.

I ask them to note my request for waterside when I make the reservation, always make it for 1130, show at 1115 and we are always seated after about 5 minutes. The waiting area inside is very small so they seem to want to start moving people as soon as they are allowed to seat.
So I would show early and request and see what shakes out. Best of luck.

Sorry. Here, let me make it easy.

Make two reservations, one for lunch, one for dinner. Go twice. Order the surf & turf for dinner. Crabcakes or Monte Cristo for lunch.

Problem solved. :teacher:

or just plan another weekend trip to disneyland and do dinner next time?? :rotfl:

I love their crabcakes. Best anywhere. They are the bar to which I compare all crabcakes.

They used to have a portabello mushroom cap marinated in a balsamic vinaigrette. It was really good .....

A giant, heaping, steaming, drooling bowl of gumbo :cloud9: Best gumbo I've ever had, granted I've never been to the South so I can't contest for that, but it's DELICIOUS!!

I like the Monte Cristo and the Tesoro Island Chicken the best. We always go for lunch, have 11:30 reservations, check in at 11:15 and ask for waterside. I never mention waterside when I make the reservation because 9 times out of 10 they tell you to mention it when you are waiting for a table. At 11:30 the first seatings are almost always waterside but later in the day you will be told you'll be waiting a long time. We've done later meals twice, we didn't have reservations we just walked up, the parks were slow so we knew we'd be ok doing that. We asked for waterside, we were told it would be an additional 45 minutes and we were seated within 10 minutes of putting our name in. lol enjoy your meal!
