Your Favorite '80's Memory

and my Sid and Nancy Love Stinks T shirt...

Yep, had one of those too! I often paired it with cut off army pants over long underwear, and either combat boots or Chuck Taylor's . I've been scanning a lot of pictures from those days lately.

So you and I were the only ones in the world with the Sid n Nancy T shirt.. .

I found a pic of me with Mickey in 1988 (HS grad trip at WDW)
I had on a T shirt from the CUre Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me tour.. (I think I went to see them on this tour... saw them during Disintigration tour as well)... black chucks, and some hideous Jams shorts.. (blue, yellow, black, red).. went well with the Black Tshirt with a iridescent green Robert Smith on the front...

LOVELY! :)

I think we must've been in each other's closets! I remember exactly what that Cure shirt looked like, and Jams......had them too!I am also an '88 graduate.

And I dare say I saw a pair of pants with zippers yesterday that looked suspiciously like a pair of parachute pants....
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Those are disgusting!I can take anything from the 80's as long as the Pants DON'T come back!!
I am a child of the 80's, what a great decade!! I still love the cartoons. Rainbow Brite, Care Bears, G.I. Joe, Jem (I love Jem, one of the girls had my name which is a big deal because NO ONE had my name - Shana!!), Thunder...Thunder...THUNDERCATS HO!!!!

Wow - I think I had totally REPRESSED the thought of Jelly Shoes!!

What about Footloose? And Top Gun? And Purple Rain?

I played that Footloose soundtrack OVER and OVER again!!

Going to the beach every Saturday or laying out by the pool 'til I was "brown as a bean," (as my Mother would say) - with no regard to skin cancer!!

And discovering U2 in '83 or so - then seeing them in concert... Watching the Red Rocks concert on VHS until I wore out the tape.

I graduated in '88 - and am totally fond of my '80's memories - no matter HOW dorky they are!!

All the talk of music made me think of another 80s memory....probably one of the biggest events of the decade.....Live Aid. I remember my friends and I ordering pizza and staying glued to the TV for most of it. I wonder if that many big name stars will ever come together again. The coolest memory of the event was Phil Collins flying Concorde so he could do both shows :D

Did any of you wear a bandana around your head and/or around your leg with jeans (like Springsteen)? LOL
