Your fave land...and why!!

What happened to Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln? Is it gone? I remember this from when I was a kid and was looking forward to finding it again when we go next month. We missed it the last time we were there.

This is tough but I think my favorite is FantasyLand. It has all the quintessential Disney early childhood favorites and its a place the whole family can share together regardless of size.

As of right now, it's gone. They replaced it for the 50th Anniversary with a cute film with Steve Martin and Donald Duck about the history of Disneyland.

They are supposed to be bringing it back, but I don't think that's until '09. Not sure on the time frame though.

I have to agree with all those who said Adventureland and NOS. I love it there. Love the rides, the food, the atmosphere, everything. Can't wait to be back.

I also love Fantasyland late at night when all the kiddos have gone home and there are almost no lines. ;)

NOS is my favorite area by far, but my favorite land is Fantasyland! :wizard:

I also really like the feel of Main Street. :)

[I really just wish I could live in Disneyland!!] ;)

Boy! I think this is a very hard question for me to answer! :scratchin Ummm...Any "land" I'm in at the moment? But if I had to answer I'd say Fantasyland. princess: Walking through the Castle, hearing the music from the merry-go-round, oh, that brings back so many memories. Watching people (it's not just kids!) try to pull the sword out of the stone! Waiting for the witch to appear at the window. Dumbo, Mr. Toad, and my favorite ride, Peter Pan. :tink: When we fly over London, well, that's my favorite part. "Come on everybody, here we go!" I wish I was there right now! My second favorite spot would have to be Main Street. I love looking at the window displays and walking through all the stores. It's just the magic of being at Disneyland. No matter how many times you go there, you still feel that same magic. It's the sights, sounds and smells (popcorn for me!) popcorn:: Yup, I sure wish I was there now! My last visit was in March, which wasn't that long ago, but I am always in a Disney mood! :yay:

Now you've got me totally excited for my trip!!!

My favorite land is DisneyLAND. pixiedust:

Sorry, it's a package deal for me. I can't possibly pick one part of it over another. It's ALL good. ;)

I love Fantasy land. It really just makes me feel like a kid again. My DD also loves FL. I love all the story dark rides. Her favorites was ALice in Wonderland. FL at DL is much better than at MK.

I agree with Dangermouse all of DL is great.:lovestruc

Adventureland! Love the Blue Bayou and the Haunted Mansion is so incredible from the outside. Also love hearing the live music as well.

I'm ducking right now because I am sure people are going to throw things at me but....NOS is a land of it's own, right? I think you can tell this because the garbage cans have a different design in every land. And Main Street, USA is considered a land, too.

Sorry to be particular about it.....but NOS is my favorite land. I love the tops of the ships sail and rigging above the buildings.

Does the Mickey and Friends parking structure count as a land??

My favorite area by far is the stretch starting at the arch leading into Adventureland that covers Jungle Cruise, Indiana Jones, Pirates, Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain all they way down to Critter Country. The ambiance is great, the architecture/styling is fabulous and the views of the Rivers of America and the ships is second to none.

Main Street too is great.

Really anything except Tomorrowland and Toontown.

DangerMouse stole the words right outta my mouth!! DisneyLAND is my favorite land! There is so much about each land that I love so much. Each land has so much of its own "character". I really dont think I could pick one land over another because there is just so much there, I can pick certain things out of land that I like more than others, like my fav thing about Frontierland is riding BTMMR at night. My fav things about Fantasyland are the mad teacups (anytime) and Storybookland canal at dusk. My fav things about NOS are the shops, my fave about Adventureland is the food (Bengal BBQ and Dole fruit stand), my fav thing about critter country is watching others go down Splash (I like to go down my self as well). We honestly dont spend alot of time in Toontown or Tomorrowland, but that doesnt mean I dont like it. We love SM, we love Buzz, we love Autopia, my kids love all things Star Wars/Tours.

And I definately agree with PP about Main Street. I love walking down main street, looking at all the shops (full of stuff I can afford; but hey, a girl can dream right?), and I most definately love at the end of the night, looking up at Walts light, knowing he is there watching us all enjoy his dream.

Fav. land/area is Toontown, because it's where Mickey lives.

Gosh, that's a GREAT answer! :yay: I wish I would have thought of it! :headache: But since I didn't, let me just say I totally agree with you!!! ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

I agree to all this. Adventureland is soooo cool any time of the day. I just love the tribal music, and hearing the birds chirping, Tarzan's yell call, and the smells of Bengal BBQ and the fact that you feel like your in the middle of a jungle is just awesome. It really takes you to a far away land that many of us never get to see. Not only that there is Indiana Jones and the Pirate ride just beside and those 2 are my fav rides.

But Fantasyland is just absoloutely incredible at night time. Like mommaU4 said at night time when a lot of the little kids have gone to bed. Being at the castle at night time gives you that magical feeling. I mean the castle always gives you that magical feeling, but the feeling you get at night time wandering around the castle, going on the dark rides, or sitting just in front of the castle hearing the music playing while you see the more minimal crowds are laughing and having a good time around you and understanding what a great time they are having, and that feeling is so different then what you would feel at any time of the day around Fantasyland. This is probably because the magical feeling you get is so peaceful, and when the ciaos dies down a bit in that area, you notice the magic more.

My favorite ride is IASW (Yes, it really is. Shut up. Stop laughing at me.) but for ambiance I adore NO Square. One of the very best perks of dining at Club 33 is standing on the balcony looking out at the Rivers of America and watching the people down below. That spot just really gives me the full-immersion feel that Disney strives for.

No laughing here, I love IASW too! That and Club 33! ;)

No laughing here. I was heartbroken when I discovered that IASW was still going to be closed when we go in September.

I have to agree with DangerMouse (and everyone else who agreed with her too!)

There is something I love about every land and in some I can't pinpoint what it is, just the over all feeling.

On our last day at DL, we were strolling down Main Street after just hopping over from DCA, that magical feeling came over me and I just knew that it wouldn't be 24 more years until our next visit! Come to find out, my DH had the same feeling! :goodvibes
