YOUR Disney magic moment?

Mine got to be last year when DD was 3. We were at WDW Epcot watching the night show (I forgot what it called now, but similar to World of Color) She looked up to me and say, "Mommy you made all my dreams come true." I got it on my video camera. I totally melted and tears up..

This made ME cry! I'm glad you got it on camera..you totally need to send that to Disney! I bet it makes it on a commercial :lovestruc

My choice for a truly magical moment would be when I managed to get the first photo of the day with Eeyore, completely inadvertently. This was only a couple of years ago, and I'm 26, so my wife and I almost never get pictures with characters, mostly because we don't want to wait in a long line just for that.

However, one morning after riding the Winnie the Pooh attraction, we exited just as Eeyore was walking out into Critter Country. The land was pretty much empty (as it usually is around 10 a.m. in the fall), and I couldn't help myself. Eeyore's been my favorite character since I was aware of...well, anything (he was my first stuffed animal, at age 1 and change), so getting a picture with him, even as an adult, was unforgettable. I'm not always the most spontaneous traveler, but times like that remind me that some of the best memories happen out of the blue.

SO many to choose from. I have a son, Sean, with Down Syndrome, he is the 3rd of my 4 kids.

1. Photo of family with Mickey, taken before digital cameras..... get photo back, and 5 of us and Mickey are smiling at the photographer, but Sean is looking straight up over his head at Mickey, all you see is his neck! I had no idea he did this until film was developed. Cute!
2. Walking across MK, and suddenly DH yelled to me to look back, and to my surprise, PLUTO!! was pushing Sean in his Maclaren stroller!! DH said Pluto pushed him to the side and took over. He took Sean all the way over the bridge, while I snapped photos! Sean loved it.
3. Breakfast in the castle, and Sean got the Snow White kiss on his forehead, dark red lipstick and all. ALL DAY, cast members laughed when they saw him, saying "Someone ran into Snow White today!!"
4. I walked into the park at DL alone 1-2 years ago. DH was in the room with Sean, resting. Right off the Hub, I see a crowd formed, and I see the DL band, who are so adorable. They are introducing Mickey and Minnie, and doing a little routine. They had Mickey and Minnie dancing around, brought out a couple of guests to join them, and I just fell head over heels with DL, I was just overwhelmed with the feeling of the spirit of DL, I know that sounds nuts. (we are from east coast and usually visited WDW). Here is a link, my movie was taken behind the crowd, this is a better recording of the same little show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkoXpAdquvE&feature=related

I never saw anything like it at the MK, and I thought, DL is so charming, I just love it so much......

So many magical memories! Just the friendliness of everyone I think, sure there were some rude people but for every one of them there were plenty more smiling, happy people!

We were waiting on the second level of the Mark Twain and I was telling my family how I'd read on disboards that if you knock on the captains door you might be allowed to 'steer' the boat. Next thing we know, one of the CM's came over and asked us if we wanted to ride up the top! Absolutely amazing!

During the World of Colour (I know it's Color...) show I had goosebumps the entire time. I was speechless, although I'd been to DL before, it was just breathtaking to see clips of my childhood films displayed the way they were. And of course, the fireworks. I could not hold back my tears when we saw them, such a highlight and a wonderful display. So much Disney magic.

Makes me want to go back so badly =(

When son Kevin was about 4, he went mad over Donald Duck. He had one of those Donald hats, with the beak, etc. Wore it every day. After a day or so, he even insisted that he WAS Donald Duck, and we were calling him Donald, etc.

We got off the train at Mickey's Star Land, or whatever it was called then, and we see a few characters mingling with only a few guests.... one was the somewhat elusive Donald Duck. Kevin sees him, and gasps loudly. And he yells, "HEY LOOK, It's ME!!" Well, we just about fell over laughing.

Even now, when we see Donald Duck at the parks, we look at each other and say, "Hey Look, It's me!"

Kevin is now 23 years old.

Sometimes the magical memories are the little things......

One, I have to choose one? Well, I'm not;)

My personal magical moment is watching RDCT with my DH on Main Street. I am in tears for most of the firework show.

My magical moment with my DDs is back in the day when the characters came out without handlers. My DDs were 5 and 1. Mickey took my oldest DD's hand and walked off and Minnie took my youngest DD. They watched a parade together and came back to me. I have an old picture of the back of Mickey's head and my DD.

My magical moment with my DGD was just last week when she took my hand and we walked down Main Street toward the castle. She's 20 months old and yes I was crying.

Mine most magical moment(s) was just last week. Both my sons (one is Autistic) were choosen for the Jedi Adacdemy Training. Later that day while watching the soundsational parade a castmember came to us and asked if we would like to have VIP seating for the fireworks show. Later that night my Autistic son told me "Dad this was just like in my dream" This made me water up.

Myself I'm not a fan of Disney cause I don't like crowds. But I felt the magic of Disney thru the smiles of my boys.

The day my DH (then DB) and I just randomly ran into my Aunt, Uncle and Cousin (we all live a 100+ miles north of DL) in line for BLAB.

Neither one of us knew the other was going even though we take family trips together fairly often. It was a neat surprise and almost like we just ran into each other downtown (which happens now and then too). They paid for us to stay an extra day and night, which was super sweet.

I wrote this in my intro a little while back, but I gotta put my moms too....

Kissing Walt when she was little :cloud9:

I'm an evil mom, I can't help it, I just LOVE plotting against the kids. On our first trip driving down to DL, the last 3 hrs driving the kids had fallen asleep. They didn't wake up until we were at HOJO's. They asked if we were had stopped for lunch, so I played along and told them yes. We tried checking in, but were too early, so as we are crossing Manchester to go to MIMI's for lunch, DH and I are talking about stopping for lunch, and heading to DL afterwards. They didn't clue in that we were at DL until I pointed out to my DS5 at the time the Matterhorn in the distance. Their reactions to finally being at DL was priceless. As I write this I'm plotting against the kids with another surprise trip to DL the end of Sept. They won't know where we are going till we arrive at the airport (which is very close to where we live, and are used to the planes flying overhead all the time).

I was feeling a little dreadful about my fiftieth birthday so I decided to spend at Disneyland. It was my first visit, although I had been to WDW and Disney Tokyo. I had the best time of my life!! I was a kid all day, did a character breakfast, so fun!! Everyone in the park told me happy birthday, and sang for me! I didn't even think about being 50! Next I turn 58 and I'm going to do it again. In fact I think maybe I should spend all the rest of my birthdays at DL!!

I have so many magical moments at the parts, resorts and cruises. My most recent was last weekend when I had the opportunity to share DL with a mother/daughter I met on a Disney Cruise in September 2010. They don't spend a lot a time at DL and spend the majority of their time at WDW and Disney Cruises. Seeing them made me reflect on the amazing transatlantic cruise. Even better was that they offered to come out to visit DL again in late January to cheer me on at the Tinker Bell Half Marathon. These ladies are amazing and fun and I look forward to the next time I hang out with them.

Our magic moment was 3 years ago when my husband lost his wallet when we got off the plane en route to Disneyland for our 6th anniversary. Luckily, my payday coincided with my hubby, and his bank could only give him under a certain amount. We wanted to turn around and go back home, but we decided to just enjoy Disneyland as we had planned. We were walking near Frontierland, and a cast member handed us a folder (it was during the Million Dreams prizes that DLR had that year) which contained the prize for reserved seats for Fantasmic. You'd think that we won the lotto at that moment, with what we had gone through. This year, we experienced a very, very good magic moment. Again, we had a setback with my husband's heart surgery last April. We were planning another trip, but with the surgery, things didn't look too good financially. We went to a Disney convention north of where we live in June of this year and we (along with another family) won a 4 day 3 night trip to Disneyland! We had to pay for airfare, but it didn't matter, we're just happy to have another trip and staying at the Disneyland Hotel!
