your choice for new fantasyland ride?

I was thinking today of what movie would a new fantasyland ride be based on. Since the Winnie the Pooh play area is only a placeholder, do you think that any of the already released movies will be the theme for a new ride? I was thinking the most "fantasy" story that doesn't have a ride is Beauty and the Beast. And since they love the whole princess thing, it would work to have a ride featuring Belle would be something to consider. I also wondering if the reason they are putting in the play area instead of just building a new ride is, do you think that they are waiting to come up with a new twist on an old ride concept? Look at the rides in fantasyland, and with the exception of IASW, which rides in the water, the other rides are almost identical (except for Dumbo). Peter Pan, Snow White, and Winnie the Pooh all just have cars that you load into. And although Winnie the Pooh is "newer" then the other two, there isn't something that really grabs you as new and innoventive. I know if/when they build a new ride there, I want something that amazes me like Philarmagic does. Instead of looking at one wall, put us right in the middle of the story like POTC does when they have the cannons firing on both sides of the ride. I just thought I would post this, since I know some people have probably thought of the same thing.

I'd like to see something based on Mary poppins in Fantasyland. Maybe an umbrella type ride where you get the sensation that you are flying.
I'd also love to see something in Tommorrowland that had to do with the Incredibles. I love that cute little movie!

Bring back the toad!! Ok well I know that is never going to happen so I'll move on.

I've said this before but I think something based on Monsters Inc. would be great. Even in fantasyland. Let's ride the doors!! lol

That sounds like a good idea, I wonder if they could do a car/3D ride! That would be something really cool, it would definitely change the way new rides would be done. But that would also be alot of screens in the ride. Now, if you could just become an imagineer, maybe that idea could actually take place.

I agree about bringing back Mr. Toad, but I also doubt that it will happen. The Alice in Wonderland idea would be great, as would Finding Nemo.

If you wanted to go with something different and scary (and a bit wild), what about a ride based on the Headless Horseman? Guests could ride in 18th-century-style open "carriages", and be "chased" through some bumpy terrain by the HH. He could pop up near them periodically, and at the end of the ride, he could throw his pumpkinhead at them. Not exactly a ride for the kiddies, but the teens and some adults might like it.

I agree about the door ride from Monsters, Inc. It could be done like Soarin' instead of an actual rollercoaster. When my daughter and I saw that movie at the theater and the scene came up, I said to my daugther, "That should be the next great ride at WDW!"

A Monsters Inc "dark ride" is being built at California Adventure -- but I think it will be closer in concept and execution to the Winnie the Pooh ride now at WDW.

How about Little Mermaid ride that takes you "Under the Sea"? A Mary Poppins experience that uses film and animatronics to propel you in and out of the animated portion of the movie?

And now that Disney has finally gotten its mitts on the Muppets, shouldn't there be room for a child-friendly Muppet attraction in the Magic Kingdom?
