Trying to buy tickets this morning. Why would I get this error? What does that mean?

I occasionally get that with my Disney Visa. I just pull it out, and put it back in again. I probably need another card. Looks like an elephant stepped on mine.

I've been having this issue on dining reservations this week. I added the same card on the same page with the error and it went through to the next step. I also added another saved card to my profile and made that the default for next time. I haven't used it yet though.

I'm guessing it's a glitch with saved cards at the moment. I have complete confidence Disney will fix any payment issues quickly (haha)! :thumbsup2

I had the same problem last week when I went to get tickets for the Merriest Nights party. I switched cards and the second one worked. Neither card had a balance on it so it sounds like they are having system issues.

I have done a couple of reservations with the saved card on file and haven't had any issues with that so far. I just did reservations for Savis using the saved card and it worked. It's weird how somethings it works for and some it does't.

FWIW, we tried to add it as a saved card separately and it wouldn't do it

That is really weird, that is it putting the charge through and then reversing. I'm at a loss on that one. We process about a hundred CC transactions each day at work and none of my people have mentioned anything like this. I have a feeling it is something on Disney's end that is causing the problem. I think in general their site is having issues today. I have tried two different browsers (Chrome and Edge) and it is hit or miss if the main menu at the top shows up. Not sure if it is because they are getting ready to turn something on for the Genie+ functions or doing some other type of update. Last time I had this problem was back in July and then I noticed the room reservation screen designs had been changed.

I hope they get it sorted out soon, it can be really frustrating when you want to spend money on something and you can't...and not because you don't have the money.

EDIT - The WDW and DCL sites are acting up as well.

Did you call your credit card company? They would have the best answer on what happened. Most times when that occurs, they're trying to apply some sort of "Fraud Protection", especially with high $$ prices. Most times if you call them and let them know, they will process that purchase for you next time you attempt to use your card.

I had this issue when I tried to buy OBB tickets and Magic Keys. I tried to put them on a Discover card and it wouldn’t go through. The funny thing is all the times I tried showed up on my credit card as pending transactions. For OBB it eventually worked if I remember correctly. For Magic Key I had to use another card (Chase).

Yes, They said Disney is declining the card

We already have to buy park hoppers because single day tickets are gone. We have family in town who want to go last minute who already bought tickets this morning. The bank said Disney is declining the cards. We tried 3 different cards under different names and accounts. Nothing works. On hold now for the rest of the day I guess.

Does anyone have experience purchasing the email delivery tickets from Target? Fully just considering just doing that and making reservations.

Have you considered getting the the California resident tickets? If you're going in the next couple of days I assume you're local and you're basically getting three days for the price of two (I assume you were looking at two-day tickets since Target doesn't sell one day tickets). I bought through arestravel and had the etickets to scan into the app within 10 minutes of finishing the transaction.

I haven't bought from Target but have purchased from other third parties plenty of times including Get Away Today and UT without issues including with the new reservation system. You'll get your tickets within a few minutes and will likely save a few $$ too.

Dhs. We can see the charge go through, then get automatically cancelled. No idea why, and its not a lack of funds available

This is a very common problem with online merchandise releases and has happened to me dozens of times. I'm actually surprised that Visa and the other credit card companies haven't complained to Disney about it. The payment server authorizes the payment but then can't confirm the rest of the transaction for some resason so it fails. Usually, it's because some server is being bombarded with too many purchase requests at once.

The only thing to do is wait and hope whatever it is doesn't sell out before Disney gets the thing fixed. I've tried credit cards from different issuers, banks and countries through different browsers, devices and IP addresses but have never managed to get a transaction through once this begins happening. Sometimes, I get fraud alerts from my bank.

I've done it a bunch. I use my Target RedCard that is linked to my bank account (basically a debit card) and get 5% off the gift cards. This option isn't a credit card and doesn't require a credit check. It is really easy to use. The longest time I had to wait for the email link to the gift card was maybe 15 minutes. From there you login with your email address and it pops up. I always save the PDF of the gift card and print it out. With the RedCard linked to my bank account I have found the charge usually comes out of my account in two days, similar to paying a bill online from my account by ACH.

For WDW and DCL I have applied the gift card on the website. For DL I wasn't able to but the CM on the phone was able to apply them for me.

It is super convenient and an easy way to save money on your trip. I am planning on getting four $500 gift cards before our trip in November and will apply them to my reservation when we get to the DLH. With the RedCard discount that will save me $25 on each card. That $100 I saved is enough to get the photopass for the week we are there. For our cruise in February I am planning on using almost all gift cards from target to pay it and that will save me 200-300 bucks easy.

The only downside is if you have to cancel your trip the refund will be put back on the cards...that is why I always print them out and save the PDF of them so I still have the gift card number. Came in handy once already.

Also, using the email gift cards from Target is an easy way to send a gift to someone. I have down that for both of my brothers. On the Target site when you open up the link it gives you an option to regift by putting in their email address. They get an email and can open it up on their own.

Hope that helps. If you have any other questions let me know.

My CC companies now notify me with fraud alerts. I try to call if making an unusually large charge but still can have limited success in having the charge go through first time.
