Your Best Meals in Disney&Orlando

Very simply,looking for your best meals in Disney and Orlando area.Not best restaurant but meal and what made it memorable to you

Disney for me was V&As a couple years ago on NYE with

Amuse bouche of lobster in spring roll w/caviar and pepper sprouts

1st course of duck w/melon grains of paradise and vinegar
2nd course of fois gras and fuji apple tart
3rd course Angus beef and shortribs
Cheese with a blue,a soft creme and a hard cheese with compotes and tupelo honey
Dessert was their signature Kona chocolate soufflé
after dinner coffee and various handmade candies and chocolates

Orlando area was Bice
Appetizer of beef carpaccio with truffle&mustard dressing
Entrée of taglietelle with mushrooms and truffle oil
Dessert of chocolate cake and hazelnut ice cream and assorted gelatos with a cappuccino

Honorable mentions to Flying Fish for best pasta dish and cheese tray
Honorable mention to Cinderellas Royal Table for ambience and seeing a young man get down on his knees just after fireworks and ask for his princess to marry him.

Best meal we've had at Disney is LeCellier--cheese soup, filet with cream cheese mashed potatos and chocolate on chocolate whiskey cake (take into account we do NOT do Signature restaurants at Disney and probably never will)

Best meal in Orlando is definitely Emeril's--love the calamari, the plank steak and the garlic potatos

Timpano's Italian Chop House
(It has Cigar Bar, Martini Bar & a Piano bar)

Music permiates the dining room, The food was out of this world!

We shared the Tuna Carpaccio Appetizer and the Spinach & Artichoke dip w/ Flatbread, as well as their version of Mozzarella sticks. I had a special of Seared Halibut w/ baby veggies and a wonderful sauce (The freshest of Halibut) Best Friend had the Pan Seared Sea Bass ? My son and his uncle had the Filet Mignon and the NY Strip. We all shared the Wild Mushroom Pasta, yum.

The ambiance makes you feel good, the wait staff is efficient and pleasant.

For desert they have little Cheesecake Lollypop Trees or small shot glasses filled with Chocolate Mouse, Tiramisu etc,. I'm drooling just remembering the experience. Simply a lovely meal, shared with family and friends. Pre-Arranged, just after receiving our drinks, the waitress brought a box to my son and asked him if he was Brian and when he said yes, she said, Sir this was delivered for you. His uncle had bought him a gift, in honor of his wonderful grades. Brian was beyond surprised when she handed him the box. A wonderful evening.

Really, it's a must do! It's well worth it, we save all year for our vacations and dining is part of it.

Started w/ Kalamata Olive Flat Bread, it's made w/ goat cheese and the Taste of Africa ( Includes Naan, a flatbread made w/ clarified butter). I love any type of bread! Seared Halibut w/ Tomato Butter Sauce ( I never cook fish at home, I always eat it out) My son and our friends all had the Filet Mignon ( Their not quite adventuresom). Followed a wonderful cheese platter with goat cheeses (I'm French, we love cheese). I didn't make it to dessert, but my son and his friend had the Pistachio Creme Brule ( I thought it was odd but tasted it, quite delicious) and his friend had the African version of Strawberry Shortcake (can't remember exactly) but it looked good too.

I enjoy dining with my family and friends. An evening of laughter, good food and great company is what memories are made of and if you add Disney, well then you have it made.

There you go, two of our most memorable dining experiences within the last four months, other wise, generally, we just eat at home.

Wow! Now I'm headed home to cook dinner!
