We haven't gotten the dining plan added to our reservation yet and I haven't decided between QSDP and DDP yet. I am leaning towards DDP since this will be our first trip and have never been to any of the Disney sit down places. But just in case we go with the QSDP, can you tell me if any of the resorts have really good food courts? If we did QSDP it might get OLD FAST eating in our resort food court for 10 days.

We will be staying at ASMu Family Suite.

The values all have decent food courts right?
POR/POFQ both have decent food courts too right?
Any of the other resorts I don't know if they have good food courts.

If we went with QSDP I would still want to resort hop to see the other resorts and use their CS food courts if they are unique or good.

Which ones have you been to? What were your favorite food courts?

Are there some CS locations within the parks that have fantastic food as well? We could do CS within a park if it was a good food court.

We will be going to each park one day and each water park one day, DTD one day. But we will have a car so we can drive to other resorts.

We did the QSDP back in 2009 and loved it. I looked at all the menus before leaving to see the variety and based my choices on it. If you are just looking for "food courts" Pop is nice and so it CSR. But if you are looking for CS locations, Flame Tree at AK is very good, WPE at DTD is very good, CHH and CR at MK are very good. We don't like much at DHS but our dds like Pizza Planet so we usually end up there.

It was a great trip with no worries of making it to ADR's!!

AKL has a nice food court. sunshine seasons at Epcot is great. And I agree Wolf gang Puck expresses are great too. I have heard nice things about the food court at CR.

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons & Electric Umbrella.

Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary & Backlot Express.

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree BBQ & Pizzafari.

Downtown Disney Marketplace: Earl of Sandwich.

Contemporary: Contempo Cafe.

Grand Floridian: Gasparilla's Grill & Games.

Boardwalk Inn/Villas: Boardwalk Bakery.

I'm partial to POP because I love it there, but a lot of people have said it's a great food court.

There are SO MANY good CS places on property! It's not your typical fast food place with just burgers and fries so you won't get bored.

In MK I would recommend Columbia Harbour House, Cosmic Ray's, Casey's Corner, and Pinocchio's

In Epcot, Sunshine Season has a GREAT food court. There are lots of CS places around the World Showcase too.

In AK, Flame Tree BBQ and Pizzafari are fan favourites.

In DHS, Starring Rolls has great sandwiches and cupcakes and there's a bbq stand outside of ToT and RnRc that I can't remember the name of...they had great pulled pork if you like that.

If you're interested in trying a sit down restaurant, you can always reserve one or two and pay out of pocket.

Pop has my favorite food court overall.
POR has a great food court with make your own pasta/salad and great family dinner style meals.
Downtown Disney has great options for CS, we could eat at Earl of Sandwich and WPE in the Marketplace everyday if we had to! I think people often overlook Cookes of Dublin as well, which is a good option.

With your QSDP, you can use 2 credits for a large pizza, 2 drinks and 2 desserts at most resorts.

If you want to resort hop, Captain Cook's at the Polynesian has some CS selections that are different from other menus and you can get a Dole Whip for dessert which is worth the trip alone. :)

You can look at the menus on allears.net to see what would appeal to you. They have all the menus from all the TS/CS in WDW in the resorts/parks and DTD.

i like Pop Century's food court. One cool thing most dont know is that you get a dessert with your meal.. BUT you can pay for the regular food and say you would like your dessert later at the ice cream bar. They will mark your reciept. Then when done eating you go to the ice cream bar and you can get a 3 scoop sundae with hot fudge, sprinkles, cherry... and its huge!! I see most others just getting a danish or ice cream bar b/c they probably dont know this tip.

QS in the parks is great. Look up their menus. WGPE is great in downtown. The waterparks only have QS and it is good.
