Your advice please - WL or Poly? ** UPDATE on Page 2 **

We have stayed at both resorts several times, and we are DVC members at VWL, having said that, I would choose the Poly. We've never had an issue or a bad experience at either. I guess we just prefer the Poly's theming. We also think the dining choices and shops are a little better. The Poly staff just always make it very magical, nothing against WL, just more magic at the Poly. You really can't make a bad choice here. Well, finally got in touch with my TA - unfortunately when she called her Disney rep for me, they said the Poly AAA rates were sold out.

So now I'm in limbo - I have asked her to keep trying to get it in case people cancel.

Keeping my fingers crossed! Either way, we'll have a good time.

How do you get the discount rates?

Hello! I see you are new, so welcome. There are sometimes discount codes for the particular time period you are going, or you can get AAA discounts if you are a member. I'd find out if a AAA code is available for the time you want, then join if you're not already a member. Also, look under discounts for WDW on www.mousesavers.com. This is an excellent site for saving some money, and you can also get E-mail alerts when the discounts change! Good luck!

I have called Patrice so many times in the last week because I could see the AAA room only rates available on the AAA website, and she kept getting told by her Disney rep that they (along with BWV and BCV) were sold out. She called me back last night and said she was glad I kept calling (and told her about the AAA website availability) because it was actually a computer glitch that kept saying the various resorts I tried were sold out at the AAA rate.

She told me last night that a supervisor at Disney was having to help get her rep get it booked in the computer, and that she would call me back if it didn't work out - that as far as she was concerned we were booked at the Poly. I think we did lose the 25 Disney Dollars though. Oh well!

Definitely call again... I would explain what happened to Marlayne in my situation. I hope you can get the discount!

I finally have the confirmation that we're at the Poly!

And, the 25 Disney Dollars are still listed (January AAA booking promo), so hopefully we'll still get them.
