younger dd's night to shine

last summer younger dd participated in a week-long choral festival. the children's chorus from last summer was asked to participate in a fundraiser for the Long Island Philharmonic tonight. she gets to sing at a benefit dinner. she's so excited.

the concert was terrific -- or so I'm told (they didn't let the parents watch, the room was too small.) members of the orchestra played, the kids sang, and a good time was had by al.

she got a nice exposure to classical music, too.
