this is completely true. you bring up a very good point.


all of these what if scenarios are really too hard to explain.
love comes in many different forms and situations.
i don't beleive there is one defining quality of love.
i think it happens, sometimes it is returned, sometimes not.
sometimes it hurts, sometimes it feels amazing,
sometimes you THINK you are in love, sometimes you think you ARENT but you ARE.
in this whole debate people are just focussing on th one defining aspect that they believe the is.
it's totally cool that everyone has their own opinions about love ,and i dont think this debate could EVER be settled because there are SO many different scenarios and types of love etc. etc.

that being said i absolutley love this thread and i hope it stays alive

I've heard something before, can't remember where.

If the relationship were healthy, stable and happy, nothing would break the two people up. When two people actually love each other, another person or situation shouldn't be able to tear them apart.

i go to a middle school (6-8) with a population of 1,000 and there are about 30 mothers already and about 20 more walking around pregnant. its incredible.

one of my best friends is a dad and he's in 8th grade. yeah.

13 in 8th grade.

I can name off dozens of girls [some failed so most are of ages 13-15] who have had sex.

I am like, woahhh i haven't even had a boyfriend yet! ***?

And then i don't want a boyfriend until I am like, in 10th grade or end of 9th or whatever!

People wait until when they are ready for different reasons. I believe people should date when they are ready to date. It took me until age 17 to be ready to date someone and that is because of a lot of personal problems. That I had to get over in order to be mentally capable to date someone So It took me a long time to be capable of loving myself and being able to love another. Everyone has their reasons for waiting as long as they do, and I was also waiting for the right person for me. I find that right person, my first boyfriend, Damen, my first kiss. An amazing guy. I waited until I was ready, so that is when I feel like everyone else should wait to, when they feel that they are personally ready to make a commitment and not those stupid two day relationships and a different boyfriend a week deals. When you are ready you will know and that is when you should date.

I would say high school is when you should start. I was made fun of because I never had a girlfriend in 8th Grade but I just ignored those kids. There was also a kid in my grade that had sex but he is a really nice kid, even though his longest relationship was 2 weeks. I believe in abstinence until around sophmore junior year of high school. Those are my opinions
