I usually can't stand Eric Braeden's portrayal of Victor, but he really got to me today- his grief over Nick was heartbreaking.

This show has already caused me to "lose it" twice in the past year or so.. First when Cassie died - and then when John Abbot died and Jack was the only one in the room while they were playing that Josh Gorban song..

I think the "crying" for Nick has only just begun..

He just renewed his contract until 2010. However, since it is a soap, he could be dead and be a ghost for the next 3 years or some long lost identical evil twin. Who knows!!!

I'm pretty stoic and they got to me this week. I keep telling myself, it's a soap opera dummy but I sit there and bawl like a baby when Michael is counting sheep for Phyliss and when Victor(whom I hate) sits crying alone in his office.

Maybe Nicolas will find Drucilla up river, where he swam from the lake. Drucilla will have lost her memory(AND be another actress) and Nicolas will bring her back to Genoa City after she takes care of him and nurses him back to health from the plane crash. Drucilla and Nicolas will have fallen in love and things will get REALLY complicated, lol!!

Jeez, between the Y&R and Lost, I think I've cried like 10 times this week. I am so NOT a crying person.

I'm thinking that since Dru only got a few days of stuff after she died but they know she's not coming back that maybe Nick will come back next week since this has been a REALLY sad week of stuff since he renewed his contract.

I'm hoping, anyway.

I also think Nick and Phyllis should stay together (I like her...I know, I'm the TOTAL minority!) and Sharon should be with Brad. Victoria and JT's chemistry is there b/c they're actually together so they should use that for the show.

Anyway, there are my thoughts.. I love the show and have been watching it for probably 16yrs...

I taped the shows from last week and just finished them. Good grief....my eyes burn from all the crying. Michelle Stafford was just awesome. Her pain was so real. My goodness...I had to keep saying, "He's alive and it's just a soap."

Incidentally - this story line was written when they thought Nick wasn't going to renew his contract.. After much thought, they decided to run with it anyhow..

I thought the SAME thing! His wife, mother of his child (well, perhaps not, but as far as they/we know now Summer is his) should be THE one in charge of it all. They treated Phyllis like DIRT! I wanted to SLAP Nikki!

I agree!!! And then, she doesn't even go?!?!

Phyllis has never been my fave and I do hope and always thought that the baby is Jack's (although Michelle Stafford is AWESOME playing her!) ---but after this whole funeral thing I totally feel for Phyllis. The "old" Phyllis would have pushed more. This to me does show that she has changed somewhat.

I agree that Michelle Stafford is an awesome actress! I hope Phyllis gets back with Jack though. I might be the minority here, but I've always like Jack!
I keep waiting for Nick to walk through the door, still waiting. I hope Nick and Sharon get back together too.

I haven't heard anything about when he'll be back but I know that next week is when Victor leaves for 5 weeks (to go on vacation) to fine Victor Jr.

I read the summary of Monday's show. Lets just say the rapid aging is taking on a new meaning for Victor Jr. I thought he was going to be looking for a young teen. Nope-grown man living on his own with a job!

I'm wondering if since Joshua Morrow signed a new contract with Y & R, he's going to show up as Victor Jr, which would probably mean that Nicholas did die in the plane crash . I hope not it would be interesting to see the half-brothers jockey for the Newman power.
