After months of confusion, Katherine finally remembers her past this week, but she denounces it and declares "I'm Marge!"
"Kay can't prove who she really is and she's tired of hurting all the people who are suffering so much because of this," says JC. After the explosion she's knocked unconscious and wakes up in the hospital. A dr. asks her what happened. "Kay can't remember any of it," says Cooper. Afterwards, Katherine informs Amber and Esther that she's also forgotten the last few months of her life. Amber tells her everyone believes Kay is dead and she's been living as Marge.
Billy walks past her hospital room and is surprised when she calls calls him in to talk.Kay wants to know when he got back from Hong Kong. Marge wouldn't know that. Kay asks him things that Kay would know about.
Billy goes to tell Jill that Kay is alive and wants her to go to the hospital with him. Jill thinks Billy has been played, agrees to go to appease Billy. Kay tells Amber and Esther that she's not going to the Chancellor estate because she doesn't want to keep hurting Jill. She doesn't want those around her to suffer anymore. She doesn't want to go home until she can figure things out.
A psychiatrist shows up to discuss Kay's memory loss, but reveals her dental records have vanished. She realizes that the dr. will keep her in the looney bin until she determines her real identity. So this is why she says she's Marge, so she can get out and prove who she really is.
Jill walks by when Kay is saying she is Marge, and that she has been lying the whole time. Jill tells Nikki that the woman who claimed to be Kay is now confessing that she is Marge. They are convinced of her deception. While they talk Nikki gets a package that contains Kay's emerald ring.
Kay leaves the hospital. Later she bumps into Nikki and recognizes the ring. She tries to get Nikki to believe she is Kay. Nikki refuses to listen, but Kay tells her that she is the key to everyone in GC. Kay needs Nikki to believe in her. Kay needs to search her memory in order for Nikki to believe her.
