Nope, they were in contract negotiations when these shows were taped. He has since signed a 5 year (or more) deal with the show.

When does any soap character REALLY die, anyway? They always end up coming back from the dead, or having an evil twin, or having amnesia, or having an operation to give them a new face or something.

Nope! Not since he signed his contract until 2010! THANK GOD! I would miss Nick too much but it sure is sad watching it this week

Yeah I just read the other day in CBS Soaps that him and Daniel renewed their contracts.

Nick is definitely one of the characters I enjoy watching.

Thanks for your responses! I did a search for a YR thread, but I couldnt find it!

I stopped reading things online and in magazines because to me it really ruins the storyline - because you know what to expect. So I didnt know anything about his contract. Good to know that he'll be back though. After Mr. Abbott dying I need a break. And I'm still trying to recover from (Casey??) Nick's step-daughter's death!

Now what I want to know is, why dont YR sell DVDs of episodes from the 80's?! I would LOVE to have them!!!!!
