I work for an attorney, in a building full of attorneys. There's also a travel agent. The landlord is putting in new carpet this weekend. We've been packing up all week. Tons of files, papers, office supplies all in neat boxes. Movers will come in the afternoon, and move all boxes and furniture. The carpet is due Sat and Sun and the movers will move everything back in on Monday.
Well, our rep from the landlord just came in and said the carpet is still at the mill in Georgia! They want to postpone for two weeks. That means I have to unpack most of the boxes and do it again in two weeks. Everyone in the building is so mad. We've only been here 3 years, but the other atty's have been here up to 15 years. They have so much stuff they boxed up.
My boss told the rep to go find carpet available here, and do it this weekend.
He left saying he'd see what he can do, but don't get our hopes up.
I can't believe this! He should have made sure the carpet was ready before he scheduled the job, IMHO.
