Let me get this out of the way straight away-- I am a newbie at writing trip reports. But since I love the Disboards and I especially love reading the trip reports, that I decided to give writing one a try. I can't promise much in how funny I'll be but I hope someone decides to read along.
Right now we're 83 days out from our Disney trip
and I am extremely excited. This trip will push me into double digits for Disney vacations- I am definitely the instigator of trips to Disney, although I don't think the kids mind yet.
Here are some quick facts:
Traveling party=
DH 37 aka Donald Duck - Fourth trip
DD 14 aka Tinkerbell - Third trip
DD 11 aka Vanellope von Schweetz -Third trip
DD 10 1/2 months aka Minnie Mouse - FIRST trip
MIL ?? aka Alice -FIRST trip
and myself 40, aka Rapunzel 10th trip
Before I get into the details of the trip let me give you a little back story. In November 2011, the hubby, kids and I started planning for a trip in Summer 2012. Well, shortly after we started planning we received a surprise of a lifetime- I discovered that I was pregnant! It was a total shocker. After a family meeting we all agreed it would probably be better if we skipped Disney since the little one was due to arrive only a few weeks before we had planned to go. The girls were disappointed but getting a baby took the sting out of missing Disney. Because of this little hiccup, it has now been 4 years since our last trip (we try to go every two years).
