"You want to ride Dinosaur again?" - New 10/21 - The End!

Oh man! I totally should have known that one! LOL! The men all dressed in black wearing headsets should have been my first clue. Nice one! :thumbsup2

Thanks!! I tried to take some pictures that would be hard!

That was a good mystery photo! Great idea for a TR photo theme...

Oh man, I take enough pix as it is!! Stop it, Kathy, stop it!! :lmao:

Looking forward to reading you Studios adventure later on...

Kathy

Uh oh... don't tell Ed about that idea! :rolleyes1

Ok I knew they didn't belong together...I just thought it was kinda funny.....

good mystery photo I was totally stumped!

It's funny that the antelope thing (I can't remember what it's actually called) was just laying there so close to the ostrich eggs!

Believe me I won't be pregnant for the next Disney trip....or any trip for that matter!
DH gets motion sick so he doesn't really care to do the thrill rides....but he will to be a good sport like when it was just us in 2005. So baby swap would just end up being me riding. Not much fun in that. And if we going on a mom and dad only trip I'd rather go on a cruise so we can go scuba diving in the Carribean. Or go to Las Vegas.

I'd love to go lay on a beach... Tim and I have gone away without the kids, but I find it VERY hard to relax - and very hard to fly. I don't know if we'll be able to really relax until the kids are all grown up... Our 24 hours away from home in March was just right, as sad as that sounds...

I'm so sorry to be late. Glad you all enjoyed yourselves-CSR looks nice!

:welcome: Hi Hedy! I'm glad you made it over!!

I've almost finished typing up my next update - I just need to finish uploading pictures to photobucket. :headache: The pictures are on the other computer and Tim is playing a game on there so it probably won't be until tomorrow.

OK... I have the pictures ready for half of the update so I'm going to post that for now.

"Hold Me In!"

After arriving back at our room, much to my surprise, DH thought we should just freshen up and head right back out to DHS since it was only open until 7pm. Who am I to question things if DH wants to head to a park?? So Tim changed out of his crocs, which had started making blisters, and put on his sneakers. I think I might have changed into sneakers too. We also decided to leave the smaller cooler behind since we hadn’t drank anything out of it and it just made the stroller tip over constantly. (Tip: Don’t put anything too heavy in the back pouch of the rental stroller – as soon as the child gets out – the stroller tips over!)

We headed back out to the bus stop around 2:30. The bus came pretty quickly and after a short ride we arrived at DHS at 2:50. DHS was the easiest park to get to from CBR. And our bus stop was pretty close to the entrance too!

We went through security, scanned our tickets at the turnstiles, picked up our stroller and stopped for the obligatory maps. I had originally planned to see Playhouse Disney today and to save LMA for Friday when Jeff & family would be with us - they probably didn't have any interest in PHD but would enjoy LMA... but before we left for our trip I discovered that LMA was only scheduled for 1ish and 4ish - no morning shows... we probably wouldn't be able to see it with Jeff since we were planning a DHS morning with a 12:25 lunch ADR - so we had to see it today! We checked the times guide and the LMA Stunt Show was scheduled for 4:30. We had about an hour until we needed to head over for the show. We weren’t going to arrive too early, knowing that we didn’t want to sit too close to the stage. As we headed up Hollywood Boulevard we had to squeeze through crowds of people who were waiting for the 3:00 parade - Block Party Bash. We decided to take a right and head toward RnRC and ToT. TSM would have to wait for now. Zachary spotted a cotton candy stand so he and Tim got a snack and also ended up getting a tattoo. This year Zach got a “cutie” Goofy. (You can see it in one of the pictures below.) Alex & I headed to RnRC and got in line for his first limo ride to the show! He seemed to get more nervous as we got closer. He asked me if it goes upside down (which I had been failing to mention since he chickened out of an upside down coaster last summer at Canobie Lake Park). I told him that yes, I think it might go upside down… :rolleyes1 He turned to me and said "Mom will you hold me in so I don't fall out?" I explained how the harness works and he seemed to relax a little bit. ;)

We had a great ride, but Alex wasn’t sure if he wanted to ride again… Fortunately within 15 minutes he was asking Dad to ride with him. Next was ToT.

The posted wait time was only 10 minutes. Zach wasn’t sure if he wanted to ride, but he decided to give it a try. We all went in, watched the pre-show then headed toward our elevators. This is when Zach decided to “chicken out” so he and I took the “express elevator” down to wait for our party by the pictures & gift shop. As expected, Alex & Tim really enjoyed it.

Next we headed over to TSM! I was so excited to experience this ride! I'd read about it and seen pictures but I still wasn't sure what to expect!

All of the FPs were gone but the posted wait time was 40 minutes. I think that’s pretty good for mid-afternoon. We used Alex’s GAC and got in line. I rode with Zach. Alex & Tim rode together. The ride was AWESOME!!! We loved it! All of us!! Here’s Zach’s & my score:

Tim got over 100,000! The kids wanted to ride again, but it was time to head to LMA!

Sorry - no mystery photo - second half of the update coming tomorrow! Lights! Motors! Action! :moped:

Yay for Alex for riding all the "big" rides! Very brave! :thumbsup2

I LOVE the picture of your 3 boys in the 3D glasses..classic! TSM was SO fun....but I'm terrible at it! Tried 2 times and never really got better!! And a 40 minute wait time in the middle of the afternoon is awesome! We saw waits over 100 minutes when we were there just the week before you! Were you there on a Fantasmic day? I would guess not as we NEVER saw a wait time of 10 minutes for TOT either.

Cute tattoo Zach! :)

I use Tour Guide Mike so we were there on a "green" day - no EMH, no Fantasmic!, park closed at 7pm. :thumbsup2 We were there later in the week (actually on the 20th anniversary of the park) and the lines were longer - this was a great day though!

I love that picture of the 3 "boys" together! I'm hoping to have my photopass CD soon - some pictures of the 4 of us. ;)

I knew Alex would love RnRC - he went on ToT and EE probably 10 times each last year.

Alex was so brave to ride both RnRC and ToT! Much braver than me! ;)

Isn't TSM fun? I can't believe the wait time was only 40 minutes in the middle of the day! Did you go on a day when Fantasmic wasn't showing?

Wow....have you seen all 4 parks so far and it's only your 2nd day at Disney?

you guys sure know how to maximize those hoppers....

I agree the picture of the boys in 3D is great....

good score too :thumbsup2

glad you liked TSM...awesome huh!?

So Tim changed out of his crocs, which had started making blisters, and put on his sneakers.

Ouch! Hope that didn't become a problem later on...

Good idea...lots of fire and explosions...not good for those sensitive to the noise! :thumbsup2

This is what I'm looking forward to the most from our next visit to the Studios!

I'll bet all three of the boys loved LMA!!

TSM was sooo much fun!! We were there on a non-F! day when DHS closed at 7 - no am or pm EMH. :thumbsup2

Coming up tonight!

LOVE the rides at DHS...isn't TSM like THE BEST EVER?!

Love, love, love TSM!! :lovestruc

I know I promised part 2 of our DHS afternoon over the weekend, but life got away from me again. I did finally get the pictures loaded so it's coming right up! I actually have the next update typed up - I just need to insert the pictures (which are already uploaded)!

Plus - I got an email that my photopass CD is on the way - I should have it within the week!:banana: I'll probably wait to post the next update until I get the photos though... sorry!

We were getting really hot so we decided to get some popsicles and drinks to take with us into the stadium. I’m not sure why, but we paid cash – I guess we didn’t think the snacks were credit worthy.

We took our seats at 4:20pm – we had seats that were almost at the top of the stadium, but they were right in the center. There was this foreign lady sitting a couple rows in front of us and she practically beat her son after he spit on his little sister. I couldn’t understand what she was saying – she was speaking another language – maybe Dutch or Swedish?? It was a bit unsettling – but luckily the show started pretty quickly. The show was fun & Zachary really enjoyed it. Alex played on Tim’s ipod most of the time – looking up from time to time when something blew up.

We had to wait for one of the cars or motorcycles at one point during the show… This guy tried to entertain us while we waited:

We left the show a couple minutes before the end to avoid the crowds – I think we might have missed one explosion?? But the kids didn’t know any better and it made for less of a headache.

Alex had wanted to go back to ride ToT with me and RnRC with Tim, but he decided he was too tired so we headed out of the park. A bus pulled up as we approached the CBR bus stop - we were on a bus at 5:15! Martinique was the first stop when we returned to CBR! Great Bus Day!!

We stopped at the room to drop things off then headed to OPR for some dinner. Again, no food porn – but we got the usual fare – chicken nuggets and fries for me – nugget buckets for the kids – and a chicken sandwich for Tim. Three meals definitely would have been enough and we tried to go with that plan after that. After dinner we changed into bathing suits and made our way to the pool for the first time. Along the way Zach decided he wanted to sit on a hammock and roll in the sand a little - until we spotted all of the red ants! :scared1:

It was great – we swam for about an hour – Zach loved the small slide (with Tim or I at the bottom to catch him) and Alex LOVED the big slide! I even went down the big slide a couple times – it was a little scary - being in the dark!

Finally back in the room, Tim & I each showered while the kids unwound with their video games. Alex was asleep by 8, Zach had a harder time and wasn’t asleep until almost 9. At one point that evening I called down to Custom House to confirm that Jeff’s room would be near ours – they said they would be in Martinique, but a non-preferred location – Perfect! Exactly as we had planned. But… I did consider trying to upgrade them to preferred – unfortunately it wasn’t that easy – I would have had to call central reservations and nobody could guarantee me that there were actually any rooms closer than what they already had – so I didn’t call. If they could have given us adjoining room I would have done it.

At 9:00 I could hear Illuminations. I had heard that we would be able to see them from our beach so I had to run out and check it out. I caught the end of the show and it was a pretty good view from our beach. The kids would love it!

For anyone keeping track... at the end of today we have:
20 CS meals left (started with 28 - used 8 today)
24 TS meals left (started with 28 - used 0 today)
22 Snacks left (started with 28 - used 1 today)

Mystery Photo #4 Reveal

I was always too tired to run out and see the Illuminations fireworks....

I'm glad you had some time to enjoy CBR.

My DH definitely wants to see LMA. Honestly, I'm always afraid one of the stunts is going to go wrong while we're watching and we'll see someone get hurt. I have the same fear at circuses. I know. Issues.

Is the mystery photo a Pooh balloon?

Alex played on Tim’s ipod most of the time – looking up from time to time when something blew up.

 For some reason, I thought this was really funny! Like, only a big, loud, fiery explosion could pull his attention away from his game!!

Wow, your zoom pictures are awesome! :thumbsup2

Glad you had some fun down time at the theme pool. We never made it there when we stayed at CBR... just swam in the quiet pool. I can just see Alex on that slide!! :teeth:

I'm taking a wild stab at the mystery picture... The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh??

We spent a good amount of time at the pool that week - I tried to make it a priority - especially since we were staying on property for maybe our last time...

Great pics of LMA!

Thanks!

LMA looks very exciting!

Hmmm, you may have stumped me on the mystery picture this time...

LMA was a lot of fun!

Is the mystery photo a Pooh balloon?

I have a fear that bleachers are going to collapse. :sad2: We were pretty far from the LMA action so I felt safe from explosions, etc. but the fact that we were sitting at the very top of the bleachers did cross my mind. :rolleyes1

Mystery photo reveal coming up!

 For some reason, I thought this was really funny! Like, only a big, loud, fiery explosion could pull his attention away from his game!!

That about sums it up!

Wow, your zoom pictures are awesome! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I guess there was some payoff for lugging the giant camera around all week!

We were there almost every day!! The kids loved it!
