I'm cruising for the first time in March on the Wonder and am wondering what you would suggest.

I am planning on flying in on Saturday for cruise on Sunday. Not sure whetther to stay around MCO and take the DCL buses, rent a car and drive to Port Canaveral and stay there, stay at WDW on Saturday night???

Help... any thoughts...

I would LOVE the MCO Hyatt...but too pricey...

I would strongly suggest staying near WDW on Saturday, and take in a bit of magic while you're there. Spend some time in DTD, check out the Animal Kingdom Lodge, etc. Drive around WDW with the windows down and have some fun!

Yes, I would rent a car at MCO and return it at the Port. This is described in more detail somewhere on this board.

Depending on what time you come in, you might just want to crash at one of the hotels near the airport. You can save a fortune booking via Priceline. We bid at the highest star level for $25 to $28 and usually end up at the Marriott. The hotels there are within walking distance of some good restaurants. We get a good night's sleep and take Happy Limo to the port in the morning, although you could take the free shuttle back to the airport if you do the buses.

I'm with WIcruizer. Start your vacation with an extra day of magic. We are going to stay at POR and spend the evening walking around DTD.

I do think it depends on if you want to spend the extra money. We could easily have just went to the Radisson at the port and taken the free shuttle to the pier.

I take any chance I get to go to Disney!!

I would stay at Disney even if you don't go to the park. Nothing like that Disney Feeling!!
