Our flight arrives at 4:05, we are staying at the Contempory and are hoping to make it to the Laua at the Poly that same night, get off plane and than onto line for bus to hotel, check in, and than onto Laua, you think I'll run into any problems doing this ?

i believe its 8, we have to be there by 7:30, once we get there ( cont ) its just a hop on the monrail and over to poly < hopefully we won't have a problem, what do u thing ?

I think you are good. I figure 1 1/2 hours to get off plane and be checking into resort....so 5:30...then go check out your room and freshen up...jump on monorail by 6:30 and you'll be there with some time to spare. IMO anyway.

Kathy I think you can probably make it. Are you going at a time when weather or holiday-sized crowds might be a factor? I'm feeling a little hesitant today because DW just got home 15 hours later than expected from a biz trip due to weather. Is the luau one of those "pay whether you show up or not"? I've been reading some other threads where people have suggested that one of those pre-paid ressie things is NOT a good idea on arrival day. Yet, I'm sure many people do it every day. Enjoy:earsboy:

I wouldn't chance a restaurant that you have to pay for in advance on your arrival day, especially when you only arrive 3.5 hours before the show. Plus you have to pick up your luggage and I don't think the bus leaves exactly when you get to it (we always use a car service/cab). What if the flight is delayed, weather/time of year doesn't always make a difference? I would pick another night to go.

Are you using ME? if so you have to compensate for the other stops (if applicable) so you would be pressed for time as the others have said this is your arrival night and anything can happen? You have paid in advance and you will not get a refund, you might think about doing it another night while you are already there and just enjoy an evening of relaxation before your 1st full day of unadulterated FUN!! Maybe a quite dinner and drinks at the California Grill this way you don't have to go far and you can stay and watch the fireworks from the north observation deck (they even pipe in the music from the show) its pretty incredible!!
Have Fun!!

I will add there is a weird time-space continuum thing at WDW: What you'd think would be 5-10 minutes somehow becomes 30-40 minutes. Must be the pixie dust.:tink:

This.^^ It is pre-paid and if something should delay your flight arrival, you would lose that money.
