"You set me up" and it only went downhill from there - Pop Sept. 2010 TR - THE END!!

Oh my goodness. He reminds me ALL too much of my husband.
...my EX husband.
:rotfl: I had similar thoughts! He sounds like my ex too. tankgirl isn't asking for relationship advice though, so I'm not offering any.

Gotta agree with hpfan100, it's pretty frustrating. Hope your trip got better tankgirl.

Well on the plus side at least he's your Ex and not current....

It seems to be only Disney that brings out this side of him. If I find it more places he may be an Ex of mine too.

Aw, sorry to hear your EMH night didn't go so well. You never know what you're going to get with the late ones. I find the first hour or so it stays crowded, but if you can hang in there after the 90 minute mark its pretty much walk on. At least that was our experience in Aug when we did the late ones at MK.

We didn't leave until 12:30am and the park closed at 1am. So much for it clearing out! Last time I went to EMH it was March and four years ago. Maybe its gotten more popular? Whatever I got at least one ride on BTMRR.

That could be the difference in our experiences, our EMH didn't start until 11 & midnight, so the EMH hours were ending at 2 & 3 am respectively. That's pretty late & most of the "kitties" are long gone, as well as the rest of the non-vampire woosies that won't stay that late :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

But it's good you're looking at the glass half full, you did get a ride on the wildest ride in the wilderness!!!!

Sounds like you could a nice day out without him!! Think a solo day for you shoould be a lot of fun!

AM EMH seemed to work better than the PM EMH. Oh well at least we didn't have the crowds.

I was tired of his lame attitude and if I had to go by myself and do my thing and have him go on his own and realize that his trip was better because of how I planned it all the better.

So today AK opens at 8am so I wasn't going to get an early reservation at Tusker House, instead I opted for one at 9:40am in order to ride some rides, get some FPs and eat to wait them out. Since touringplans.com had been pretty correct about the wait times and how crowded the parks had been so far, I didn't think it was necessary for me/us to get there for 8am opening, but I knew I wanted to be there before the official 9am opening. If anything I could get ahead start on the walk to the safari or Expedition Everest if I was going to try it.

I woke up around 7:45am and started getting ready as quiet as possible as to not wake up BF. After last night and his demanding that he wasn't going to get up to 8:30am which was pushed up to 9am after he found out what time breakfast was. I had enough, if he wanted to come with me he could, if he wanted to sleep in he could, if he wanted to meet up later fine, and if he wanted to go on his own today fine. He was starting to show glimpses of enjoyment and as soon as it came it was over. This was my vacation too and I was tired of his attitude.

I got ready and was just about to leave when BF stirred. He got out of bed and started getting dressed. I told him he didn't have to come with me, he could sleep or go and do whatever he wanted to. He didn't say anything but continued to get ready and we headed out to AK.

We got there around 8:30am and headed straight to Expedition Everest. First stop, pick up FPs for later. If I don't use it, at least BF would be able to get two rides in. I had decided last night if that little girl I met could do this ride I could too. So we went to get in line and I started getting nervous. I told BF I wasn't sure about this, but if that little girl could ride it maybe I could too, if BF would be supportive and help me through it. Before I knew it we were through the queue as quickly as we had entered it and we were about to be placed in the back row, BF was thoughtful and asked for us to get a middle row because I was nervous. I was so nervous I couldn't get my bag to fit in the pouch. He held my hand for the whole ride and I can't promise I kept my eyes opened the whole time. He let me know when we were going to go backwards and down the big hill. I was so happy when it was over and I probably killed his hands.

Next it was over to the safari, it was getting close to 9am, we might be able to beat the crowd over there and be done in time to check in for breakfast maybe even early and Tusker House is right there! So off we head to Africa and the safari. The wait was about 10 minutes, only added by the fact that we asked for the front row again. We set off on safari and were having great luck seeing animals active and close to the truck until we crossed into the savannah.... looking out all I saw were stopped trucks. Well maybe it will be quick and we'll be on our way..... so we sat and waited...and waited.... and time kept going by. I looked at BF's watch as it went from 9:35 to 9:40 to 9:45 and finally we were on our way again. Somewhere up ahead the giraffes weren't playing nice with my ADR. Maybe if I was the one seeing the giraffes not moving I wouldn't be feeling this way. We got off the ride and headed quickly to Tusker House to see if we could still get in. It was 10am by this point.

Do we get in to Tusker House????

AWWW that's so sweet that he got you middle seat and held your hand. Maybe he's a keeper ;)

Bummer about your MK EMH mine were about the same. I rode BTMRR in the dark too. It makes it so much scarier. If you get your own seat you slide back and forth too :lovestruc I actually did wait in that 50 minute line to ride space. I almost fell asleep.

Glad you tried Everest it's one of my favorites.

Did you like Everest?

Hmmm... did Tusker House let you eat?

Well that's why I wanted to do Everest first before I ate. I was too scared something would happen if I tried it for the first time after stuffing myself at a buffet.

I'll get to whether we got to eat and the biggest scam at AK....

Yeah, it was sweet he was trying to help me out knowing I was scared. Going up the big hill I tried to look all around rather than up. I would have been too scared to look straight up the mountain. I could see Spaceship Earth and TOT from there.

Those lines were worse than when we were in the park. Other than dinner we should have just left. Oh well, you win some you lose some.

Good for you riding EE! I'm glad your BF was really nice about it -- it was very sweet of him.

I can't believe your safari stopped for so long! And of course it was when you had an ADR. I agree -- at least if you could have see the giraffes in your way it would have been cute.

I'm biting my fingernails on your behalf right now!

I was freaking out soooo bad........ but I was freaking out more about the reservation time passing by then the roller coaster. I had heard that they let you be up to 10 minutes late, but we were approaching them 20 minutes late!

Oh my goodness. I am all caught up! I love reading your TR. It makes me feel not so alone in the "having grumpy people bringing me down" camp. Plus, I look at your days and think...oh yeah...I was right there. (we were at the same Fantasmic..only you were on the far left and I was on the far right..I think?)

EMH on 9/5 in MK was HORRID. We were just there in February and we got off and on rides no problem. I was excited for this to be the case again..nope. Course, as someone mentioned. I think when the park stays open later and then there is EMH, crowds thin. When it isnt really staying open LATE, late... Plus, another thought...if I were a local. 9/5 would be the day I would stay on property for one night so that I could use extra magic hour and then spend the holiday in the park the next day. I wonder if that "last hoorah " of the summer caused locals to bring up the crowd numbers.

Hope you made it to Tusker!

Hey everyone... I haven't been trying to ignore posting, its just well yesterday was Sunday. I know that shouldn't sound like an excuse but it is since its football season. And I made us a really nice dinner while the Pats played, roast chicken, green beans and red potatoes. And after the Pats instead of watching the brothers take down one another, we settled in to watch Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. That's right I got him to sit through an entire Disney Princess movie!

But today means I'm back at work and I'll try to fill you in on what happened with Tusker House.....

We should have traded and put all our grumpy people together and then we would have been fine. As we were walking into Fantasmic they were telling us, standing room only, so we felt luckily to get a seat albeit a hard one that made my bottom sore.

If I could do one thing over I would have not gone to EMH at MK, well maybe I would for that burger.

When we last left off, giraffes were blocking the savannah, making us 20 mintues late for our reservation at Tusker House. We rushed out the safari and headed quickly to the restaurant to explain if necessary that giraffes kept us from being here on time. I'm sure they have probably hear that excuse before.

We lined up with everyone else in the world it seemed and waited anxiously for the first available hostess to check in. There were two standing outside and a bunch of people sitting at tables. I was starting to get very anxious that they gave our spot away and we were not going to get in. Which would make BF mad because #1 he was hungry, #2 it was a buffet, #3 it had Donald Duck and I made him wear a Donald t-shirt since he loves himself so much.

We got to the front of the line and I explained we were hung up on the safari, but we had a reservation at 9:40 and gave her my last name three times (spelling it each time), the time, and offered the reservation number if it would help. It never did. They check in station was running really really slow, but eventually she found us in the system and printed out a ticket for us to get breakfast. We found an empty table and sat down and then got back up..... They were already calling our names without the buzzer going off. Good thing I have a strange last name otherwise I woudl have completely missed it. We handed off our buzzer and followed the gentleman up and around to the back of Tusker House for our photo. We got in line and I pulled out my PhotoPass card . No need I was told. Sweet free photo! (Incorrect thinking) The family before us got their photo taken and then Donald needed a two minute break.

*This was a running theme with most of my character meets I would be the next person and whoops! the character will be back in 2 - 3 minutes. The worst was on 9/3 in MK I wanted to meet Pluto, I was next and the only one in line and stood there in the sun waiting for him. When he came out the CM passed right by me and started his line about 5 feet away from where I was standing and another family got to be first. So I was like "well I guess I'll get back into the line I was already waiting for Pluto in" towards the CM and got to be the 2nd person with Pluto. Sitting in the direct noon sun waiting for a character and then being passed by sucked.

Donald came back and got all excited over BF's shirt and our photos were taken and we were led inside. I was all excited about us getting another free photo (once again bad thinking on my part)

*Note to others reading, if they are taking pictures and refusing your Photo Pass card, always ask if they will take a picture with your camera. You see where I'm going with this?

Coming up.... Brunch with Daisy, Goofy, and Mickey

Yay! Glad you're at least going to get to eat something!

Don't like where the Donald photo-taking is going...

Yep it ticked me off good, and by the time I realized it Donald had disappeared from the party? Wasn't he hosting this breakfast safari? He should put in more than just an appearance!
