I heard this exact thing from different people at least a half-dozen times this weekend! :guilty: I know that with the stress of my mom's medical issues, combined with the money stuff and the recent death of my DH's good friend, a lot of stuff's been piled on. I did notice that my skin has looked a bit on the "worn" side; I've always had oily skin but it seems to be somewhat flaky, the pores are enlarged (always large but worse lately) and the red cheeks and kinda "saggy" look... not pretty. The weight loss isn't helping the way it looks either (tho I'm not gonna quit, lol!)

Anyone have any "tried-and-true" products that they use to help your skin look younger, or at least healthier? Oh, and in my searches I've found stuff that sounds great, until I see the price :scared1: So if there's anything that's reasonably price AND does a good job... am I asking too much? ;)

Thanks in advance! :grouphug:

I am amazed on a daily basis at how much better I look when I use my Bare Minerals make up. And it just takes seconds to apply. I really like a natural look and this is definitely it...great for everyday wear.

For cleansers I always liked good old Noxema in the blue tub. I have tried a bunch and always go back. Same with moisturizer....the regular Oil of Olay SPF 15 (I think) works great for me!

ETA: Bare Minerals may seem pricey at first, but the starter kit lasted me almost a year! So it really isn't bad at all.

Hugs... stress can take it's toll on us, can't it?

I think I see a person as being tired by their EYES, not as much their skin. It's amazing how bright eyes can make the difference in looking tired and not looking tired.

Hope you find an inner brightness that will shine from your eyes SOON!

Sleep!
A good book and a long lazy Sunday.
A hammock in the sun.
Those are my tried and true products!!!

Hope you get the chance to rest up and de-stress soon! Sounds like you've been dealing with a lot lately!

1st, I am so sorry you are going through a hard time.

Drink lots of water and avoid caffeine.

I used Mary Kay products and they work well for me. I did try a $90 eye cream from the dermatologist once that worked miracles!!! I would love to buy some more, but I just cannot justify the cost right now.

I am interested to see what others have to say.

drinking lots of water, catching up on some sleep, some joy- visiting with a friend, watching a comedy, Olay regenerist eye cream.

I SWEAR by bare minerals!!! The difference it makes in your complexion with it on is fantastic. It works wonders for my dark circles aka the "you look tired" face.
