I've seen this list many times before. I was born in 1981 and not really insync with pop culture of the time, but I can definately remember most of those, even if I didn't participate myself!

I did have slouch socks! I think I still have a pair...
I also had the skirt with shorts underneath- my mom made them for me herself. I'm certain I have a t-shirt tie hidden in my bedroom back home.

I'm so into pop culture of the past now, that half the time I'm not sure what I actually remember and what I learned about later but still associate with the era. I didn't see Goonies until college. A friend gave me a hard time about that one! Ditto for ET.

Toys and cartoons, though, I was all about- go take a look at my avator.

My boyfriend's parents have bunches of videos of radom stuff recorded in the early 80s. We get a kick out of watching the commercials!

Does anyone remember the Genera Hyper-Color shirts?
Believe it or not, I still have mine. In fact, I just discovered it the other day, and it still works!
For those who are unfamiliar, they change color when heat is applied--ie, when you get hot--your armpits would turn, say, a bright neon pink.
Yep--an interesting 80's invention. My shirt was orange and white tie-dye that turned a blotchy neon pink.

yes, I remember Hypercolor Shirts!! I had 2 of them, but I guess I was late, as by the time I wore them they were out of style, but really cool technology. I wouldn't be surprised if they made a comeback...like these days TransFormers are back
