your DS asks "whats for dinner?", you answer "chicken" and he then asks "where from?"

He honestly just asked me this. I had to laugh:earseek:

Yep, and your housekeeping skills are revealed when your kids ask "Who's coming over?" as you vacuum.

Oh, you are so right! I've heard that one before, too.

Yep. Or in my case, DD will say, "are we eating at HOME tonight?"

Such is life in the 2000's.;)

We got a christmas card personally addressed to us from the people who own the local Indian takeaway (for the 3rd year in a row!)

Years ago, when my mom asked me to set the table, I asked who was coming over for dinner. She told me no one, and I wondered why I was setting the table. Mom simply wanted a family dinner.

As I sit here eating my whopper with cheese....

And I'm about to order pizza to help support the school. (Really!) :)

Pizza was last night - tonight it is fish and chicken from Long John Silvers!

Or I remember one time during the summer I asked what they wanted for lunch and all the answers were fast food restaurants. Whatever happened to PB&J or mac 'n cheese?

I actually cook quite often. Really I do.:teeth:

When Ds3 gets on the pretend phone and is placing an order as he turns to you and asks what you want!LOL!

:rotfl: :rotfl:
.....as i sit here eating my left over from last night Pizza Hut Pizza!
The garlic bread is heating in the oven...........

You have all the local fast food outlets numbers on speed dial

Or when you walk into your favorite chinese take-out and they ask if you're having company because you ordered something different.:earseek:

These are too funny!

LOL!!

My personal favorite is when I ask my kids to get dressed (usually happens on the weekend) and they ask, "Where are we going?"  Obviously, if you aren't "going" anywhere, there is no point in getting dressed.

:teeth: :teeth:

or the first question they ask you when they get in the car is "where are we eating tonight?" That was my wake up call that we were eating out way too much!!!

When my DD was around 18 months old, we were having a family dinner at home on evening and she finished her food, pushed her plate away and said 'check, please'. :teeth:

Pretty much yeah.

...when DD opens her Happy Meal/Wacky Pack/whatever kiddie combo that particular establishment offers and immediately pronounces "I already have this stinking toy." Oops!

A friend of mine was so embarrassed when her M-I-L bought her son a little play kitchen for his 4th birthday. When the 2 grandmothers asked him to make dinner in his new little kitchen he grabbed the phone and called the local chinese place, asked for the lady that owns the place by name and ordered chicken fried rice. :p Both her mom and M-I-L still to this day tease her. I think that poor kid ate more CFR in his 4 years than I've ate in my whole life.

As for my kids they think everytime we have any sort of scout evening we should eat Subway since its right by the church.
