You know it's crowded when...(add yours!)

there are so many strollers parked outside rides that it's difficult to navigate around them. When the bubble blowers are out enmass and getting bubbles onto your clothes, camera lenses, drinks, etc. When there is a line up for Snow Whites Scary Adventure. When strollers block enterances to the stores that you want to visit to the point where you can't go into them.

With all this talk of virtually unmanageable crowds, it makes we wonder if DL is allowing in more people that it should just to rake in a few extra dollars. Presumably they have standards with regard to the number of people that can fit in DL safely, but -- with stories of bathroom lines flowing out the door -- it almost sounds like they're not adhering to them. Just a thought.

I think to a certain degree in regards to the crowds it all depends on what time of year you go to see and feed the mouse. I went the first week of Oct this year, knowing that the crowds were going to be bad, but had the desire to see the park in all it's Halloween glory. Normally I don't have a problem with strollers and the dreaded bubble blowers, but with the heavy crowds that were there while I was there made it more noticable to me than if the crowds were lighter. Normally us as a family go off season to avoid the heavy crowds, but even when visiting DL in what many would consider a peak period, I found it manageable. There are ways to get around to doing what you want in heavy crowds, but requires a little more planning, and observing the crowd patterns on the first day in the parks to find out the flow and then working around it by using the single rider lines and the Fast Pass system. I just found that the bubble blowers that would not normally bug me in what would be considered "normal" crowds, bugged me royally as in heavy crowds you couldn't avoid getting hit with bubbles, whether you wanted to or not. Have told DH if he considers buying one of them on our next trip that I would shoot first then explain later why I hate them so much.

Don't forget the line to get OUT of the restroom!

My wife had this happen at the restrooms by the New Orleans Square Train Station. Fortunately this has not happened to me yet. But I did get to wait outside while she waited in all those lines.

In October, when we witnessed a little kid getting his finger jammed up his nose from being jostled by the heavy crowds.

He had been picking his nose, and my kids pointed him out to us just prior to the incident.

Can you say, ouch?

On the up-side, maybe he never picked his nose again as a result.

The week of T-Giving, the line for Pooh was 25 minutes!!

Maybe early in the week, Turkey day, Fri and Sat Pooh was most definitely walk on


Hmmm busy *we seem to pick less crowded times* ~ it's busy to me when your Big Thunder FP return time isn't 40 minutes after you get your FP - even late in the day.

Whew, some of those things sound terrible. I haven't been on a busy day in years. I stick to Jan and Feb. Of course I miss the beautiful Christmas decorations. I may have to give in next year for that though.
