Before it got cold, my puppy would stay outside forever if I'd let him. Now that it's cold, he goes out there for about 5 minutes and looks at me like "It's time to go in!!!"

You know it's cold outside when you walk a block or two back to the dorm from class, run upstairs, go to your laptop, and when you try to go online you realize that your mouse isn't moving, because your fingers are too cold to register on the moving mouse sensor pad thingie! (what is the name for that anyway?)

My away message this morning was something along the lines of "last time I checked, I was going to school in Boston, NOT Alaska!".

I'm looking forward to going to the hockey game tonight. The rink will be MUCH warmer than the temp outside! (Feeling like minus twenty with windchill tonight, in case anyone was wondering )

...when you SUDDENLY realize...hey, it's winter! (I was in FLA in December, went swimming every day, and didn't remember it was winter till I came back home to good ole' New York!)

We have a black lab who has always been an outside dog. He will sometimes come in when we let him, but it isn't very often. He has his own bed on the back porch and that is where he sleeps(complete with a wool rug and a thermal blanket-gifts from the kids). One morning last week the temp when I got up at 5:30am was 17 degrees. When I looked out the back door I saw the cutest sight. The dog wasn't in his usual place on top of his blankets! HE WAS UNDER THEM!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so cute! All you could see was his big black nose sticking out! I wish I could have taken a picture, but when I opened the door he jumped up(I always feed him when I get up each morning)! Spoiled the picture! Oh well, just wanted to let you know how cold it can get here!

3.You frozen chicken shouts, "put me back" when you take it out of the freezer!

When I went this AM to put the dog's rug on the porch(so his little "tushy" doesn't get cold!),my hair, which was slightly damp after showering, FROZE in the 2 minutes I was outside!!!!

Needless to say, the dog did his "business" and was right back in!

You know it's cold outside when...you're having people over at your house and you buy lots of drinks..pop or beer and you leave it sit outside to keep it cold....then...you forget...you bring it inside and the drinks are frozen!! Now your guest have to wait for the drinks to thaw!

It's cold when you step outside, your denim jeans gets stiff and so now you can't walk right cause your knees don't bend right. Has anyone experience this? My jeans always stiffen and it's hard to walk like that.

Whenever I go out of state this always happens to me...i'd rather wear sweatpants in teh cold weather.
Right now here in palm beach it's about 65ºF AND IT'S FREEZING!! We floridians aren't much used to cold...there's a cold front coming through..When i go outside to walk my dog I even out a sweater on him or he won't go outside. You can seriously tell teh tourist from the residents..they're the ones wearing the shorts!

Whew! disney_girl27, I'm glad to know you know what I am talking about! Actually that is exactly what I have been wearing lately, my sweatpants! It's more comfortable to walk in it.

There was one night when we were there this past week, it went down to 65 that night. My kids and I was wearing shorts and t-shirts! We even went swimming. There was hardly anyone swimming that night! I think the ones that was wearing sweathirts and pants are from south! Cold to us is anything below 30 with 0 wind chilled factor!
