You HAVE to try this!! EBAY your way to DISNEY Part 2!!!!

What am I doing wrong? I have closed 17 auctions in the last 2 weeks. I've had no problems with any shipments. I've posted positive feedback for all shipments/payments. Only 3 has posted feedback for me. Do you have the same problem with feedback?

I've had over 1,000 transactions in the past 11 months of selling on eBay and only about 300 feedbacks.

Some people do no post it. Of course you can email them and remind them if you feel the need.

I dislike it when people "remind" me to leave feedback for them. There may be a reason I wouldn't leave it (of course now I use vrane.com, so if you didn't leave it for me, vrane didn't leave it for you). Perhaps the experience wasn't as good as you thought, perhaps the item wasn't as good..but yet the people didn't want to leave a nuetral or a neg..it wasn't that bad. I know that I have read on other boards, that people have asked for it, and gotten it..the feedback said..you asked for feedback..here is feedback. That doesn't look so good.
Maybe the people you are leaving it for, see you already gave it to them, so now they don't feel they need to bother to leave it for you.
Or maybe, (most likely) the people you sold to just aren't interested in eBay's feedback system, or don't know how to leave it.

I did so well my first week ebaying...this time around I am not doing well at all :( I am not sure I will even break even :( Any words of encouragement. Even after I relisted, changed titles, lower the price...most relists did not sell. :( I am kinda bumbed out :(

Glo don't feel bad I had the same experiance with my second week. But about 3 days out from ending I went in and changed title wording, price (on a few) and added to the description . Guess what they all sold!! even made a little profit on a couple . so see what you can change in those areas and it may help.

If a buyer wants to pay with money order and you only accept paypal , what do you do?
What if they don't have paypal acct and do not want to open one?

Iif you specified in your auction terms that you only accept Paypal and they won't use it, then you have no obligation to sell to them; they're not abiding by the terms of the auction. Of course, you always have the option to accept the form of payment they're offering, too.

If they won't pay with paypal do you file a NPB or what?

I decided to skip listing anything this week because of Easter and with my counter ticking down I'm not sure I should list anything next Sunday either. If I list on April 11th and do a 7 day auction it would end on April 18th that would give me 11 days until the day we leave to recieve payment and ship things out. Is that cutting it too close?TIA

I don't think so. But I would but a disclaimer of sorts in your auctions and all invoices or emails to any buyers that all payments are due by [1 - 2 days before your departure] because you will be out of town. That any payments received after the date specified above will not be processed and items will not be sent until [2 - 3 days after you get home] I have done this in the past and it has worked out great.

WooHoo!
i mentioned earlier in the week that I sold a large lot of my DD's clothes on ebay and it did very well!
So i listed the 2nd and final lot of her clothes that I had and they just sold too! after fees it will be $160.00! So between the 2 auctions I made about $300.00! Of course I have only made about $400.00 total on ebay since I started up again after our Jan. trip. And with $300 of that being the 2 clothing lots that really shows I did not sell a whole lot of other stuff but I am excited anyway!
Planning for a Nov. trip!
Paid for our passes ($900!) in Jan. with my ebay money. And am hoping to make $1,000 for our Nov. trip too!

Bummer.....I have made $29.55 this week. Yuch. But at least it is more stuff out of my house!!!! That will probably buy 2 meals for DD & myself. Or a day on the rental car. Luckily 3 auctions went to one buyer so I gave them a good shipping deal and I have less packages to haul in. 5 auctions didn't go - 6 did, which isn't too bad.

$800 of my Disney $ is being denied by DH's old insurance co.   It's the last stupid claim from them too! For YEARS at THEIR suggestion, I've sent the full years worth of co-pay claims in during January. Now I get denied on them! I called & asked & they said well, as of 1/4/04 you have only 90 days to submit a claim. To my knowledge we received nothing on this in the mail & wouldn't you think it would be for claims going forward? ALSO, then why did they not pay October, November and December (which I mailed in January)? Well, because my claim did not process until 3/22. Course Jan is the busiest month so March is when they finally got around to it and then they claim it is over 90 days - even though it sat on someones desk for 8 weeks!!! Needless to say I can't find my Priority Mail # for this right now either. Hoping it is on my desk at work. Also, I filed 35 prescriptions and the denial is only for 31. The other four just mysteriously are not listed (I do have copies of them though). The company rep said he would ask the claims department to relook at it, but I would still only get the last 3 months. Goody - that's only $625 down the drain. I also placed a call to his former employers insurance rep. Hopefully she can step in & help me out. THIS IS OUR TICKET $$$!!!!! (plus other stuff). This has nothing to do with ebay, but I just needed to VENT!!!!!!!!!!

I have been FALSELY accused of shrill bidding on ebay! Do I have any recourse?

I have had 4 auctions canceled by them, one with a American girl sweater set due to go off tomorrow that was up to $20. !!!
I haven't shrilled bidded. I have had several people bidding on all my auctions cause i have sold many lots of girls 16 1/2 clothes though. NONE are people I know!!!
I am ticked and there seems to be no links to talk to a live human on there. Anyone have any advice or knowledge of how to handle this?

Thanks
Sharon

Wow..usually eBay is pretty careful about that (they usually trace the bidders). I'm sorry it happened to you.

Good morning!

This isn't exactly ebay related, but since my discovery of the first ebay thread is what got me motivated, I felt it appropriate to post here.

Tomorrow a.m. is the beginning of our 4-day visit to WDW. Thanks to these boards, I have learned how to "ebay my way to Disney" with all 3 nights of my room paid for, plus a little left over to help out with other expenses. Brita water bottles and Teva sandals are now in my vocabulary (and on my packing list), and I've gotten much useful information from just reading (and reading and reading!).

Anyway, I just wanted to stop in and say "thank you" for being so willing to share your knowledge and answer my questions! I thought I'd better post this message now, because as the day goes on, I know I'll be busy with packing and taking care of last minute stuff! I've been designated as the "coordinator" for this trip (6 adults and 3 kids), so I've been worried about making sure everything goes well. Thanks to you, I'm prepared!

Have a great day!
Delaney

I don't blame you for being upset! Two ideas--if you can't set satisfaction from the insurance company, tell them you are going to call your state insurance commissioner.

And I don't know a thing about the meaning of this, but a friendly insurance adjuster (the mother of one of our pediatric patients at the hospital where I work) once told a friend of mine who was having trouble with an insurance company to tell the insurance company, "I'm sure you will pay this, because doesn't this fall under errors and omissions?" Worked like a charm--just a thought if you get desperate and have tried everything else!

I just downloaded USPS click it & ship it. I like it but is there a way to save the payment until the end.

I know my CC company will refuse if I do 20 transaction in one day even if they are for 3-10 dollars. I just don't feel like calling them everyday and explaining.

HELP!

I have 2 buyers who have unconfirmed addresses. They are both "verified" buyers however. What should I do? Do you mail to unconfirmed addresses? Should I email them and ask if the address is correct? Am I covered if they do a paypal reversal (or whatever that's called?) They have both paid via paypal immediately.

Maggie

You are not covered if they do a Paypal reversal. However, if it's for an inexpensive items, and they have plenty of positive feedback, I will ship to an unconfirmed address. I do think it's a good idea to email them to confirm the address.

Just to add to what floridagirrl2 said, if they do confirm their addresses w/Paypal after they've paid you, you won't be able to tell. The details of the original transaction won't show a change.

The only way to be certain that a buyer is now confirmed is to refund their money and then have them re-send it. I just did this with a relatively expensive item -- the buyer ignored the statement in my auction that I only ship to confirmed addresses but fortunately was willing to get confirmed and then resend the payment to prove that she was.
