Went for a checkup with the friendly neighbourhood medicine man and he reported that it appears that one of the meds I take appears to be attacking my body and may end giving me cancer! Tomorrow I start to ween myself off of it and onto an older, more iron clad med in replacement, as if I'm not on old medications from the dark ages anyway! Oh well, at least I'm still cancer free as it is, right?

I had to change anti-depressants a few years ago because the one my psychiatrist put me on gave me a depressive episode so bad I was in bed for a week. That's when I learned to actually read up on the possible side effects of any medication before putting it into my body.

Sorry to hear that - most docs are now just drug pushers IMO.

Had something similar - had we not pushed for a specific test it would have gone missed for another 5 or 6 years till it got worse even though its a common side affect of the drug we were never warned about.

Now we read all the materials and question everything.

All the drugs my dad were on were a big factor in his health going south - he had fault as well - but the drugs made things worse.
