"You Guys Are Cast Members... Right?" - A December 2011 TR

Oh my gosh, I was so obnoxiously far behind on this TR. I don't even think I can remember all the comments. I'll try though.

Hahaha "so obnoxiously behind." It's okay! I'll take what I can get!

You know how obsessed with Once I am. You must have loved last week with how Charming was center stage. Love him in fairy tale land, but he is a bit of a wuss in real world. I am dying to see where they are going next week. It's like they are setting the stage for something major.

Of course! You were one of the people I was referring to. OH, yes I really did enjoy that hahah. LOVE HIM. But I agree... I was sad that he couldn't just TELL KATHERINE and then he and Mary Margaret could be together! But I guess that would have been too easy?

Yay for staying at BLT! Are you just doing Disney? Or are you fitting in Universal for your sis?

YAY! Yeah, just Disney. Thankfully she came around and is now really excited. I think she went to the Universal website and decided it wasn't worth the trouble, just because we're not HP people. Since we're flying we won't have a car there, and it would have been a lot of extra money to take a cab/buy the tickets/all that jazz. But she's cool with everything, so everyone's happy now!

Um, how did I not know they had chocolate Mickey waffles? Between that and the puffed French toast, I must go eat at CP.

Oh goodness, yall should DEFINITELY go there! It's my absolute favorite! The chocolate waffles are delicious and the PUFFED. IS. OUTSTANDING.

Pretty awesome jump shot with Tigger there. Could the characters holiday outfits BE any cuter? Adorable.

Haha yeah, they were proud of that one! Hahahah I totally agree (Chandler Bing)! They could not BE any cuter! And for some reason they were only dressed up like that at Animal Kingdom! SO, points for Animal Kingdom!

Phew, finally caught up with yours. Now to the next one on my list......

Hahah I know the feeling! I feel overwhelmed if I even get a day behind!

I'm all caught up now!
We love the Beach Club too! We are probably (depending on school schedules) going to stay at the Boardwalk in January 2013 and then the Beach Club for 12 days in June 2014! I am so excited!

Oh goodness, the Beach Club remains my dream resort! I just love it. That sounds so awesome! The Boardwalk is another place I'd love to stay! I bet yall will really enjoy those two resorts!

The Kitchen Sink! :cloud9: We haven't tried it yet, but it's on our list!

Oh man, it's so good! It's VERY hard to finish but so delicious. Gotta love ice cream!

 the Monorail! I want the t-shirt so badly!

The monorail is the BEST. You should totally get that shirt! Hahah I have both of the monorail shirts. I'm obsessed with them hahah.

Aww! I didn't realize a couple of the Festival of the Lion King birds were actually married!

Isn't that adorable?

Bay Lake Tower?! So jealous!

I know! I can't wait!

Can't wait for more!

Thanks for catching up girl!

LOL I used to HATE Dasani water when I was in like 3rd grade. And I remember that it was the only kind that Disney carried and it always made me so angry. :rotfl: Thankfully I grew out of that... but your being picky about water comment reminded me of my weird child self.

Hahaha, that's too funny! I'm not gonna lie, I agree with your child self. I don't really like a lot of bottled water but I think I like Dasani the least! Yeah... no clue why I'm still so picky!

AW THE CHARACTERS HAD THEIR CHRISTMAS OUTFITS ON!?! I missed them on my Christmas trip! How unfortunate. Minnie looks so cute!

YEAH! It was adorable. That's sad that you missed them! Did they just stop wearing the Christmas outfits right after Christmas day, or something?

THE LION SECTION IS THE BEST!

OH, definitely! ROAR.

"Can You Feel The Love Tonight" always makes me cry. And it gives me chills. I TOTALLY understand.

Me too. Goodness. It's such a beautiful scene. WHAT A TEARJERKER.

HAHAHAHA I love that you missed the fire guy. You know you're a Disney nerd when you look at the audio anamatronic animals more than you look at the guy who is freaking throwing fire around!!

Oh my gosh, right? Like, what is my deal? I don't even remember why I started looking at Simba in the first place, but after I noticed he was making such OUTRAGED faces, I could not stop looking! It was cracking me up I tell ya.

AWWW A MARRIED COUPLE!?!?! That just makes my obsession with that scene even better. OMG.

I KNOW. Dear lord it's adorable. AND, they MET from the show! AHHHH.

ldksfjgshkjfhdskjmnbfsgdl;jso;s;luiyhrgkjdfbkngdlhifkjbsnkiluygskbehjfndkfiuvoygkbhdjs, nfghlbkjdnkfssbuoyghkebjfdsnjifuogbydjknvlz DUG AND RUSSEL OH MY GOD WHAT THE HECK I WANT TO MEET THEM SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY'RE SO LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAHAHAHA! I KNOW! I'm not gonna lie, I was SO jealous! When they told us I was like... wait a minute, are you SURE? Like how did I not know that I could meet them? Hahha.

Ahh ending strong with a Stacey Quote. Very nice work.

I thank you. *takes a bow*

--------

P.S. I'm SOOOOOOOOO excited you're staying at Bay Lake. I hope that I'll get to the Bay Lake Tower portion of my trip report before your vacation  (I better!) I have SOOOO many pictures and so many comments and GAHHH it's the best place that exists on this earth. I am soooo freaking happy for you to stay there!

YES YES YES YES! I cannot wait til you get there in your TR! Hahah I have no doubts that you'll get there before I leave! It's not til late July! I can't wait to read all about it!!!!!

"And I will now leave you with this picture that I found on the internet."

..... :rotfl2:

That made me laugh. Just so you know.

Okay, that's all I have to say for now!

Hahaha thanks! Ya know, I just didn't wanna be like, "COOL I'M EXCITED, okay see ya later." Had to make it interesting somehow!

Omg you're so sweet to notice that!! I leave in FIVE DAYS, aka THIS SATURDAY ASFASDF. I absolutely can't wait!! We'll be there for a week - March 3rd to the 10th. My best friend and I are hoping to start up a trip report when we get back. c:

I'm looking forward to the next update! Trip reports are like the fuel to my fire before I leave, haha. ♥

Aww! OH MY GOSH. FIVE DAYS?!?! You get five cool dancings guys: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Oh my gosh I will definitely be reading that trip report! So excited for you! AND I'm planning to update... like NOW!

Yay for RVA! you know I won't quit reading your TR now! Glad to know there are more of us in town! Ever do any babysitting fo little Disney lovers?? :rotfl2:

Can't wait to read more! By the way, one of the leads in FOTLK went to my HS (in Indiana).

YAY! Hahah thank you! I haven't ever but that sounds so cute!

Oh my gosh no way! That's awesome! You're famous by association. Which part does he/she play?

I love the monorail!!!!

The monorail is the BEST THING EVER!

That tree is so cool!! i love all of the ornaments!

Isn't it awesome? I love it!

I enjoy Animal Kingdom for FOTLK and EE, but other than that I honestly get hot and irritated in that park for some reason!! :confused3 Don't get me wrong, I love the other rides too, but they aren't a must do for me like the FOTLK and EE are!!

Aw, no I understand! It can get VERY hot there, for sure! FOTLK and Everest are two of my favorites at that park too!

I love your picture with Minnie!! :cutie: Too cute!

Aw thanks! Hahah I love her. Her outfit was so precious!

FOTLK is so beautiful! I love that show so much!! How cute that the birds are actually married!! P.S. I LOVE THAT SONG!!!! It makes me cry every time, and I swear it'll be my wedding song!

It is! I'm pretty much obsessed with that show hahaha. AW, it should be your wedding song! That would be so cute!

Wow, your friends sure met a lot of characters!! :thumbsup2 How cool you could meet Russell and Dug there! :goodvibes

I know right? They were on a roll! I didn't even know you could meet Russell and Dug! I was so jealous that they got to!

I can't wait for EE!!!! My favorite rollarcoaster!!! :goodvibes

Mine too! :woohoo:

No, I'm sure they still had the outfits on. I just didn't do ANYTHING at Animal Kingdom on either of my December trips. I literally think I went there twice... one to go to Yak and Yeti for dinner. Then I left. And then the second time we went to the parade. And then left. I don't know why but AK got very neglected! :confused3

Aww, poor Animal Kingdom! Hahah that's okay. If you ever go at Christmas again you'll have to check it out! :thumbsup2

The One Where We Go With the FLOOOOOW!

December 15, 2011

After seeing the best show in existence, we fought through the post show crowds to make our way over to Asia. There was a dangerous mountain calling my name. Isn’t that weird? Mountains don’t generally call people by name, especially the dangerous ones.

I asked Amanda to take a picture of Sally and me in front of the dangerous, name-calling mountain, Everest. (Amanda isn’t an Everest fan, she prefers quiet and calm mountains.) Before she took the picture, this Cast Member came over and told us that he could a picture of all of us! How thoughtful! Not really. Turns out he was a photopass photographer… and for some reason he decided to keep that a secret until we were attempting to take our own picture. :confused3

After that, we met up with Kristen and Ryan, who were waiting for us. (Oops.) They were excited to tell us about all the characters they met. Our conversation went as follows:

Them: “So we met Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Dale, Russell, and that dog from ‘UP,’ Tigger…

Me: “Wait… WHAT?!?! Russell and DUG?”

Them: “Yeah, so we did a jumping picture with Tigger!”

Me: “RUSSELL AND DUG ARE AT ANIMAL KINGDOM?!?!”

Them: “It took us a few tries but I was proud that we got that picture!”

Me: “I did not know you could meet Russell and Dug! Oh my gosh Russell and Dug Russell and Dug Russell and Dug.”

(Note: the above conversation was probably NOT verbatim. But it was VERY close.)

Yeah, my listening skills were only so-so at that point… but seriously. In my head I was thinking, how on Earth did I NOT know about this? If I had known, I would have made it a priority to meet them! Goodness, let’s move on…

Anyways, after fully processing this BRAND NEW INFORMATION, (Phoebe Buffay… anyone?), we decided it was time to RIDE THAT PUPPY. We gave our stuff to Amanda, and got in line for EXPEDITION EVEREST! It’s YETI TIME! Like, for real this time! :woohoo:

Can I just say that a year is a REALLY long time to wait to ride Everest? It is.
I JUST LOVE EVEREST. It’s definitely my favorite rollercoaster at Disney World. I wouldn’t necessarily say that it’s my favorite RIDE though, because honestly, that would be a tie between Splash Mountain and TSMM.

Anyways, the line was probably 30 minutes long. Not too bad! We didn’t even care though, because we were riding it no matter what! When we were in line, I noticed something that I’d never seen before! I wished I had my camera so I could’ve taken a picture! There was this little tea garden area with a sign that said something like “Guests Please DO NOT Pick the Tea!” Gotta love those Disney details. TOP NOTCH.

I had really wanted to ride in the front this time, because I never have, and I want to see the ripped up track up close! However, once we got closer I didn’t care anymore because I didn’t want to make anyone wait any longer! Also, I didn’t have my camera, so it’s not like I could document the ‘front row’ experience anyway. (NEXT TIME!)

This was Sally and Ryan’s first ride on Everest!

SO NERVOUS.

Then it was our turn! YAY! I love that ride so much, it’s a ton of fun. However, there was a girl sitting right behind Sally and me, and she SCREAMED SO LOUD the entire ride, that it actually hurt my ears! Goodness gracious girl, control yourself!

Sally and Ryan both really enjoyed it! I know a lot of people complain about the Yeti being broken, but to be perfectly honest, I prefer it that way! If some big hairy monster was LUNGING at me (fake or not!) I WOULD FREAK OUT. So, I’m okay with the fact that it just looks at you and roars. Totally okay with it. :thumbsup2

We met back up with Amanda and bid Everest a final farewell. We will meet again in July!

SDC10675.jpg

We didn’t really have a plan for the rest of our time in Animal Kingdom, so we started wandering toward Dinoland. Amanda casually mentioned that she might want to see Finding Nemo: The Musical, because she’d never seen it before. So as we were walking toward the theater, we saw that the next show was starting in ten minutes! WELL HELLO! We decided to just go watch it, because it was our only chance!

SDC10674.jpg

The best part was that we still got pretty good seats, but we didn’t have to wait forever for the show to start! Although, if we’d had to wait, I’m sure I would have been thoroughly entertained watching Nemo swim through all the bubbles. I was staring at those bubbles for a good three minutes.

This show is a bit on the longer side (around 45 minutes), but it’s worth seeing every now and then. I would definitely recommend it if you haven’t seen it yet! It’s really well put together, visually STUNNING, and has an awesome soundtrack (that I listen to often)!

*Sorry these pictures aren't great, they're taken from video.

My favorite song? GO WITH THE FLOOOOOOOW!

SDC12458.jpg

Hahaha, I love Crush’s song! I must say, the actor playing Crush had a wonderful singing voice, but it didn’t exactly fit the ‘sea-turtle-surfer-dude’ description. But that’s okay, because he still did an awesome job! In fact, all the actors did a great job. We really enjoyed the show and were glad we got to see it!

After the show, we once again headed in the direction of Dinoland. This time, we had a destination in mind…

DUN DUN DUN! :scared1:

Continued in Next Update

I've never ridden Everest. I'm kind of chicken of the backwards part! If I really liked Rockin Rollercoaster, do you think I would like Everest?

Those three activities hold different ranks in my Disney book.

*Everest - I did it once. Might do it again if the kids beg me. If they don't, I'm good with never again. It's in my pass category, although I do love to take pictures of the wonderfully-themed area. :thumbsup2

The scared faces of your friends - cute. :goodvibes

*Nemo - We love it and try to see it every trip. Crush is the coolest turtle dude ever, of course!

*Dinosaur - This one is in the like category. It was in the really like category at one time, but we got stuck once in a section where the rover was jerking all over the place. We jerked and jerked (and jerked and jerked) for a long time. It was funny the first minute, but after a while, it became a little unpleasant. I think since that ride made me move Dinosaur down a half-notch. ;)

Hahahaha I swear, at the slightest hint of it, that "Go with the flooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow" song gets stuck in my head for a week! :rotfl:

I would've been bummed if I realized Russell and Dug were there and I simply missed them. Hopefully they'll be coming back for good. :) THAT IS BRAND NEW INFORMATION!!!

I love EE so much, and a year is a realllllyyyy long time in between expeditions. That pic of Sally and Ryan is hilarious. Screaming girl sounds bad, but when I rode single rider I got stuck with a group of 3 teenage boys who were also screaming like girls because they thought it'd be hilarious.

I've never the Nemo show. I guess we just aren't really show people anymore. :confused3

The Dino Institute!! Let's go see Mrs. Huxtable! ;)

You absolutely MUST ride EE in the front at least once in your life!! Seriously!!! It is a totally different ride experience...I promise!

OK, sorry for the over-use of the exclamation point up there, but I'm passionate about upping the EE awesome quotient.

I've never seen the Nemo show. So ashamed! It's on the list for the October trip because I keep hearing it's a must-do at least once.

Great installment!

oh, it's always fun to search for Nemo in those huge bubbles off to the side.

I love EE! So much fun! I really have started to enjoy AK more and more each time I visit it. There is just so much to be seen in the details.

Glad you got to ride EE! I do enjoy that coaster. I think the front row would be a lot of fun.

We have not seen Nemo yet. I just don't know that Reid would sit through a 45 minute show. Who knows....time permitting, maybe we'll try it in Oct.

I've never ridden Everest. I'm kind of chicken of the backwards part! If I really liked Rockin Rollercoaster, do you think I would like Everest?

Oh no you totally should! I do think you'd like it! Especially since RNRC goes upside down! The backwards part isn't as scary as it seems. :thumbsup2

Those three activities hold different ranks in my Disney book.

Hahah aww. I bet you'll be finding yourself on that ride again in a couple years!

The scared faces of your friends - cute. :goodvibes

*Nemo - We love it and try to see it every trip. Crush is the coolest turtle dude ever, of course!

I love it too! It's amazing. The only time I won't see if is if I only have limited (and I mean REALLY limited) Animal Kingdom time. Hahaha I love Crush and his wonderfully catchy song!

*Dinosaur - This one is in the like category. It was in the really like category at one time, but we got stuck once in a section where the rover was jerking all over the place. We jerked and jerked (and jerked and jerked) for a long time. It was funny the first minute, but after a while, it became a little unpleasant. I think since that ride made me move Dinosaur down a half-notch. ;)

Oh my goodness. That sounds awful! I would be so freaked out to be stuck on that ride. If I HAD TO pick a ride to be stuck on, that would be my very last choice. :scared1: Yall are brave souls!

Hahahaha I swear, at the slightest hint of it, that "Go with the flooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow" song gets stuck in my head for a week! :rotfl:

Hahaha! Oh, me too. Sorry for getting it stuck in your head again!

I would've been bummed if I realized Russell and Dug were there and I simply missed them. Hopefully they'll be coming back for good. :) THAT IS BRAND NEW INFORMATION!!!

I was pretty jealous, not gonna lie! I hope so too! Hahahaha I knew I could count on you with the Friends quotes. :thumbsup2

A year is about 364 days too long if you ask me! Hahah I know, they're silly. Screaming girl was awful. I mean she was SCREAMING, not just "ahhh" but "OMG SOMEONE IS GONNA KILL ME." Ugh, goodness. Omg, no no no. That sounds terrible. Why are teenage boys so... teenage boy-ish?

I've never the Nemo show. I guess we just aren't really show people anymore. :confused3

Aw, yeah that's understandable. You should see it someday though, if you're ever in a showy mood!

The Dino Institute!! Let's go see Mrs. Huxtable! ;)

Hahah yes! I'm always impressed with her ability to be so calm in any situation. Kid drama OR dinosaurs on the loose. What a lady. :thumbsup2

You absolutely MUST ride EE in the front at least once in your life!! Seriously!!! It is a totally different ride experience...I promise!

Oh my goodness I really want to! I think my sister would agree with me so I think we'll try for that this summer!

OK, sorry for the over-use of the exclamation point up there, but I'm passionate about upping the EE awesome quotient.

Hahaha not a problem, as you know I tend to CAPITALIZE many a word. :rotfl:

I've never seen the Nemo show. So ashamed! It's on the list for the October trip because I keep hearing it's a must-do at least once.

No need to be ashamed! You definitely should see it in October. Definitely worth seeing once to decide how you feel about it!

Great installment!

Thank you! You're too kind. :goodvibes

oh, it's always fun to search for Nemo in those huge bubbles off to the side.

I love EE! So much fun! I really have started to enjoy AK more and more each time I visit it. There is just so much to be seen in the details.

Hahaha, right? I'm like OOOOOH, where's he gonna pop up next? It keeps me entertained. No shame. :rotfl:

That's good to hear! Animal Kingdom is just awesome. The details are incredible! And I feel like I still haven't even seen half of the park! There's always something new to explore.

Glad you got to ride EE! I do enjoy that coaster. I think the front row would be a lot of fun.

We have not seen Nemo yet. I just don't know that Reid would sit through a 45 minute show. Who knows....time permitting, maybe we'll try it in Oct.

Me too! It's a great one! I REALLY want to ride in the front, I think it'd be so awesome.

Yeah, that's understandable! I mean, if he likes Nemo, chances are he'd like the show! It would be worth a try at least! :goodvibes

We love EE, too and we got to ride up front our last trip and we really thought is was more fun. And a I agree about the yeti. I don't really need him to be fixed. I'm good with it. But the last time we rode Soarin' the picture was really bad. Now, I want them to fix that for sure.

DH and I saw Finding Nemo the musical when we went and I'd have to say, it was MY FAVORITE SHOW! Although, the only other shows I've seen at WDW is the Indiana Jones stunt show and the Motors show- the car stunt show...
So... that easily beat them!
I had no idea there was Russell and Dug either... that's cool. Sad you didn't get to see them.

That's awesome! I am definitely gonna be doing that next trip. Hahha yes, keep the yeti broken. It's all good. :rotfl: OH yeah I remember you saying that in your TR... hmm, well it could have depended on which side I was on when I rode in December, but it seemed normal to me! So maybe it's fixed! :confused3

It's a great one, that's for sure! Hahha I've never seen those two shows... but I'm sure Finding Nemo is a lot more entertaining.
I know, isn't that awesome? Hahah aw it's okay, I might get lucky and see them someday!

Haha "BRAND NEW INFORMATION!" I love Phoebe!

Yay, Yeti time! :cool1: I love that ride! I love the "please don't pick the tea" sign too! Ahhh, Disney details! :lovestruc

I have never seen the Nemo show! I finally just got around to seeing FOTLK in October, so it will probably be years before we see the Nemo show! :rotfl2:

ps-I started my May PTR, come on over! There's a link in my signature or in my October TR! :thumbsup2

Seriously love all the character pictures in AK! Especially the Minnie one with the 4 girls, So Cute!

I wanna ride the Monorail!! that was said with a very whiny voice BTW:lmao:

We enjoyed EE, well Sam and I did, but I haven't done Dinosaur yet. I can't wait to see what you though!

Can I tell you how much I love love love UP! ?!?! Because it is a lot. Like, a lot a lot! I especially love Russel. So, I am totally jealous of your adventures in AK. I WILL make it over there to see them. I WILL!

Oh, and the soundtrack to the Nemo Musical is FANTASTIC. That show just makes me smile, so of course I watch it when I can. It is a little long though, so it awesome you didn't have to wait! Thank you pixie dust!!! :)

Can't wait to read more! You guys are TOOO fun! :)

I've never been crazy about the Finding Nemo show, but maybe we'll try it again someday, once the boys get a 45 minute attention span. You really have to try Everest in the front- it's well worth any extra waiting.
