"You Guys Are Cast Members... Right?" - A December 2011 TR

Yayyyy, monorail!!! I love the monorail so much, I always look for excuses to ride it! :cool1:

There are buses at the TTC? Huh. Learn something new everyday! I thought they were all right outside the MK entrance!

Love your picture with Minnie, she's so cute in her Christmas clothes!

I've only seen FOTLK once but I cried throughout the whole thing, it's very moving! I love that one of the bird couples is married! :lovestruc

I'm a FOTLK crier, too!! It is amazing, awesome, spectacular and tons of other superlatives I won't take the time to type out! I didn't know about the married couple, so next time I'll probably cry even more!

What great character photos...especially the one with Tigger! :goodvibes

I have a confession to make....I'm not an Animal Kingdom lover. :duck: Although, there are a few things we like (EE, the Safari & FOTLK).

I do find the performers in FOTLK to be extremely talented. It's hard to look away from any of them.

Loved all of the character photos....looks like y'all were having lots of fun! I can't believe they got to meet Russell and Dug! I wonder if they're always in AK....yet another thing to add to our "to do list" for this fall! :thumbsup2

Monorail time!:yay: I'm glad someone else gets as excited as I do for the monorail!

I can't figure out why people don't like AK. I think because it is so spread out, and there's so much stuff most people don't discover. I'm not sure at all.

Thanks for the pants tip, and I'm glad it only looks slightly dumb. :rotfl:

I love Camp Minnie Mickey. Thumper and Miss Bunny were our favorites, that stinks that their line was closed. Thumper was slightly creepy because after he smothered me with hugs apparently he started thumping his foot while watching me walk away...This became a great thing for my family to joke about all week.

Could Minnie's Christmas outfit be any cuter?! I just love everyone's ears too! That guys comment in FOTLK was hilarious.
Don't worry I cry in Disney too. Over ridiculous stuff too. Too much happiness at once, I guess. That is so precious that those birds are lovebirds in real life! :goodvibes

I was SO disappointed that the "trial run" of Dug and Russell meet and greets was over in January. I love them both! All of the Christmas accessories for the characters are just adorable.

Can't wait for yeti time!

Simon and I enjoyed your day 2 video. Simon waved and said hi to Mickey when he came out! :)

After our lovely bounce through the Hundred Acre Woods, Jenelle had an idea. She told us to follow her into Castle Couture.

WE GOT PIXIE DUSTED!

Can anyone do this? My daughters would LOVE it!!

YEAH, I love Animal Kingdom too! You should start referring to it as DAK because that's what they said they like to call it on the Backstage Safari tour.

Festival of the Lion King is a great show. :thumbsup2

I think they might've just started recently doing meet and greets with the Up characters there. I know when the movie came out you could meet Russell and Mr. Frederickson (or maybe Dug, I am not sure which combination it was!) at DHS and I was bummed that I missed my opportunity. But maybe in April!

OMG SO! I subscribe to certain TRs so I get an e-mail anytime there is something new posted. ANYWHO, this often leads me to reading TRs in my email if I'm like on the train or something and want something to read. So I totally read your entire TR update last night without photos on my iPhone. Problem is, I forget to actually go back and comment! Hahaha, so here I am now.

YES FOR AK! So excited you guys are heading there! I like AK as it is home to my favorite attraction, but I think for me I don't love it as much as other parks because we have such an amazing zoo here in Seattle, the safari isn't AS exciting to us. Also, I am just not a fan of Dinoland and I feel like the stuff over there is more like an amusement park ride, not an attraction, if that makes sense. :confused3 BUT I love everything else about the park! The theming is amazing!

I noticed the same thing on the bridge to Camp Minnie Mickey! The water was yucky-looking!

Love the photo with Minnie, and for some reason I am still laughing at how Minnie was nooot sure what to do about the book making noises. I would've laughed so hard if my book was just constantly making random noises! :rotfl:

FotLK looks fun! We've never done it as we're not huge on shows, but maybe we'll have to give it a shot sometime!

I AM SO JEALOUS OF KRISTEN AND RYAN!! They got to meet Dug and Russell! When I found out they'd be gone by the time we would be in Disney I was HEARTBROKEN. Those 2 were the characters I wanted to meet so badly. I hope Disney brings them back because I will probably cry when I meet them.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR YETI TIME! THAT IS MY FAVORITE TIME IN AK! :yay:

Okay, you and I are slightly kindred spirits. I LOVE tap water and normally would take that any day over bottled water. I save lots of money, that's for sure.

That's so awesome that one of the "bird" couples that perform in FOTLK is married. Every time I see the show now, I'm going to wonder if it's them.

YESSS I LOVE ANIMAL KINGDOM. When people don't like it I just wonder what's wrong with them, you know? How can you not love such awesome theming!?

Lion section is the only way to do Festival of the Lion King. It's my absolute FAVOURITE show, too. I had no idea that one of the bird couples was married!! That's so sweet. ♥

Even though Animal Kindgom is probably my least favorite park, I still like it a lot. Honestly, I think this trip helped me to like it even more. This was my second time going to Camp Minnie Mickey and seeing FOTLK and I loved it! So glad we were in the Lion Section! My eyes have been opened to so much more at Disney these last 2 trips. I hope I'll get the chance to share all I've learned with my family when we go in August.

I've just learned a lot tonight! I've never noticed Simba's face during Be Prepared, but I'll have to see if I can manage to look at him next time. The fire guy is so impressive that it's hard to look away.

I didn't know that one of the bird couples were married either, but that's so nice. :goodvibes

I also didn't know that Dug and Russell were at the Animal Kingdom. Is it just me or does Russell look kind of weird?

I know! I don't even know why I was looking at Simba in the first place, but once I started I couldn't stop! It was just cracking me up.

Isn't that the sweetest thing? I love that.

I know! I had no clue! Hahah I guess Russell does look a little weird with his mouth open like that.

The AK water was kinda green and murky when we were there too, I thought that was kinda strange too! But the ducks seemed to have no problem with it!

I had no idea that one of the "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" duos was married!!! That's so sweet! :lovestruc

Love that Tigger pic! That's awesome!

Ugh, yeah! It was gross. But hey, if the ducks are happy... :rotfl:

I know, I just thought that was the sweetest thing!

Hahah yeah, they were excited to get that one.

The Animal Kingdom Christmas tree is definitely one of my favorites, too! There's just something about it.

Yay for meeting characters! :goodvibes Aren't they just so cute in their Christmas clothes? :santa:

Festival of the Lion King! Such a great show! I'll have to keep a look out on Simba's changing facial expressions next time.

Yeah! I can't really put my finger on it, but I agree. It's an awesome tree!

YES! I love their Christmas outfits! I thought it was funny too that Animal Kingdom seemed to be the only park that was dressing the characters up!

It's the best! I love it so much! Hahha you should, if you can make yourself look away from fire guy! I'm not even sure why I was looking at Simba in the first place... :confused3 hahah!

:lovestruc

Hahaha YES THE MONORAIL! I know! I do the same thing, but sometimes it's hard to look for an excuse. So sad. I honestly think that one night this summer I'll just ride the resort loop over and over. Ya know, just for fun.

Yep! They have busses to Hollywood and Animal Kingdom! Very convenient!

Thanks! I know, her Christmas clothes are just precious!

ONCE?! Hahaha you need to see it again in May! It's the best show! I know, isn't that so cute? I love it.

I'm a FOTLK crier, too!! It is amazing, awesome, spectacular and tons of other superlatives I won't take the time to type out! I didn't know about the married couple, so next time I'll probably cry even more!

What great character photos...especially the one with Tigger! :goodvibes

Hahaha, I'm glad I'm not the only one. It's so beautiful! I know, I honestly think that is the sweetest thing ever. And they met because of it! AHH!

Thanks! Hahah yeah, that one is pretty fun. They were really excited to show it to us when we met back up!

:thumbsup2

Haha, it's okay. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion!

Aren't they awesome? I love them. They all seem to genuinely love their jobs and be so happy to do it every day!

Thanks! We definitely were! I know! I was jealous! I have no idea if they're always there or not, but it was awesome. I hope they are, because I want to meet them too! If they're there in the summer I'm sure they'll be there in the fall!

Monorail time!:yay: I'm glad someone else gets as excited as I do for the monorail!

Hahah YES! We should form a monorail fan club.

I can't figure out why people don't like AK. I think because it is so spread out, and there's so much stuff most people don't discover. I'm not sure at all.

Yeah, I can't figure it out either! Maybe so! There is a lot you can easily miss! In fact, there is a lot that I HAVE easily missed! BUT it's my mission this summer to conquer those things. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the pants tip, and I'm glad it only looks slightly dumb. :rotfl:

Hahaha, no problem. Glad I can share my wisdom.

I love it too! I love that you can go there at any given time and find characters. I know, I was a little sad about that but I WILL meet them this summer! Hahaha oh my gosh! That's too funny! He loves you. :lovestruc

Could Minnie's Christmas outfit be any cuter?! I just love everyone's ears too! That guys comment in FOTLK was hilarious.

No Chandler, it could not! :thumbsup2 Hahaha. Aw thanks! Gotta love wearing those ears. Oh I know! He was just so serious about it too. :rotfl:

Don't worry I cry in Disney too. Over ridiculous stuff too. Too much happiness at once, I guess. That is so precious that those birds are lovebirds in real life! :goodvibes

Yeah, ya know, I find it to be a VERY normal thing to cry at Disney. You're right, it's ALL THE HAPPINESS! Oh my gosh, right? I thought that was the cutest thing ever.

I was SO disappointed that the "trial run" of Dug and Russell meet and greets was over in January. I love them both! All of the Christmas accessories for the characters are just adorable.

Oh, it was a trial run? DANG! That stinks, I was looking forward to meeting them! I wonder why they did it like that?

Can't wait for yeti time!

AW YEAH, gotta love yeti time!

Simon and I enjoyed your day 2 video. Simon waved and said hi to Mickey when he came out! :)

Hahaha! Aw! That's so cute. Thanks!

Can anyone do this? My daughters would LOVE it!!

Yes! Anyone can do it! It's really awesome. You just go into Castle Couture in Fantasyland and ask to be pixie-dusted and they'll gladly do it! By the way, hello from a fellow Richmonder! Thank you for reading!

I should! Hahah although it's funny, because whenever I see DAK I don't think of it as D A K, the letters, I think of it as a word pronounced 'dack.' Hahaha or is that what it's supposed to be? :confused3 Hahaha.

I KNOW! I love it so much.

Yeah, I've been hearing it was a trial run? :confused3 I know, I wish I could have met them at Hollywood too! I think you're right, I think it was all three of them! It made me wonder why Mr. Fredrickson wasn't at DAK! Yeah, that would be cool if they were still there (or back again?) in April!

Wait you read my entire TR again? Hahaha okay! Well don't even worry about because I'm late responding anyway!

Haha to be honest, the only animals I get really excited for on the safari are the giraffes and elephants. I would get excited for the lions but they're just so hit or miss. In fact, I've only done the safari once, and that was on my first trip! AND since then I have actually fed a giraffe with my bare hand! (We will pretend that is an important detail that has something to do with what we're talking about.) But yeah, I don't really like the look of Dinoland either. It's a little odd. But I do love that big yellow smiley dino! Hahah.

I noticed the same thing on the bridge to Camp Minnie Mickey! The water was yucky-looking!

Yeah! Ew. What's the deal?!?! I didn't like that.

Love the photo with Minnie, and for some reason I am still laughing at how Minnie was nooot sure what to do about the book making noises. I would've laughed so hard if my book was just constantly making random noises! :rotfl:

Aw thanks! Hahaha I thought that was hilarious too! Minnie was like, girl get it together! :lmao:

FotLK looks fun! We've never done it as we're not huge on shows, but maybe we'll have to give it a shot sometime!

Oh my gosh. WHAT?!?!?! Danielle. YALL MUST GO SEE IT NEXT TIME. It is only about 30 minutes long and it's well worth it! I mean seriously. GO SEE IT! You won't regret it. It's also good because it's not a re-telling of the story, (ahem, like the Beauty and the Beast stage show, which I do not really like) but it's like visually incredible and the singers are phenomenal and the dancers and the acrobats and the flyers and just everything. It's the best.

Oh my gosh, I know, I was jealous of them too! I LOVE UP! Okay, so you knew about them being there? I am seriously wondering how the heck I didn't know that they'd be there! If I had known they were only temporarily there, I would have stayed later and tried to meet them! I hope they bring them back too! The whole thing is just confusing to me.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR YETI TIME! THAT IS MY FAVORITE TIME IN AK! :yay:

YES! I love yeti time!

That's awesome. I'm so glad someone else understands! AND YEAH, it totally saves money! Good for us. :thumbsup2

I know, isn't that awesome? Hahah I'll probably do the same thing! I'll probably convince myself that it is them every time I see the show.

I DO TOO! Hahah I know. To each his own, I guess. But yeah... how can you not love it? EVERYTHING is so detailed and perfect.

YES! ROAR. It's the best show ever, basically. I know, isn't that so sweet? I love that. OH AND HEY! Your signature says your next trip is March 2012... well March 2012 starts in DAYS... aka your trip is coming up! :woohoo: When is it?

Even though Animal Kindgom is probably my least favorite park, I still like it a lot. Honestly, I think this trip helped me to like it even more. This was my second time going to Camp Minnie Mickey and seeing FOTLK and I loved it! So glad we were in the Lion Section! My eyes have been opened to so much more at Disney these last 2 trips. I hope I'll get the chance to share all I've learned with my family when we go in August.

Least favorite? BOO. Hollywood is my least favorite. I'm glad you still enjoy it though! I KNOW! Because in 2010 I pretty much made yall come see it with me! Hahha, how have your eyes been opened? WAIT, you're going in August now? Wah, I guess we won't be there the same week then! :(

Oh my gosh, I was so obnoxiously far behind on this TR. I don't even think I can remember all the comments. I'll try though.

You know how obsessed with Once I am. You must have loved last week with how Charming was center stage. Love him in fairy tale land, but he is a bit of a wuss in real world. I am dying to see where they are going next week. It's like they are setting the stage for something major.

Yay for staying at BLT! Are you just doing Disney? Or are you fitting in Universal for your sis?

Um, how did I not know they had chocolate Mickey waffles? Between that and the puffed French toast, I must go eat at CP.

Pretty awesome jump shot with Tigger there. Could the characters holiday outfits BE any cuter? Adorable.

Phew, finally caught up with yours. Now to the next one on my list......

I'm all caught up now!

We love the Beach Club too! We are probably (depending on school schedules) going to stay at the Boardwalk in January 2013 and then the Beach Club for 12 days in June 2014! I am so excited!

The Kitchen Sink! :cloud9: We haven't tried it yet, but it's on our list!

 the Monorail! I want the t-shirt so badly!

Aww! I didn't realize a couple of the Festival of the Lion King birds were actually married!

Bay Lake Tower?! So jealous! :cool1::banana::cool1:

Can't wait for more!

LOL I used to HATE Dasani water when I was in like 3rd grade. And I remember that it was the only kind that Disney carried and it always made me so angry. :rotfl: Thankfully I grew out of that... but your being picky about water comment reminded me of my weird child self. :lmao:

AW THE CHARACTERS HAD THEIR CHRISTMAS OUTFITS ON!?! I missed them on my Christmas trip! How unfortunate. Minnie looks so cute!

THE LION SECTION IS THE BEST!

"Can You Feel The Love Tonight" always makes me cry. And it gives me chills. I TOTALLY understand.

HAHAHAHA I love that you missed the fire guy. You know you're a Disney nerd when you look at the audio anamatronic animals more than you look at the guy who is freaking throwing fire around!! :lmao:

AWWW A MARRIED COUPLE!?!?! That just makes my obsession with that scene even better. OMG.

I LOVE MICKEY'S CHRISTMAS SWEATER.

ldksfjgshkjfhdskjmnbfsgdl;jso;s;luiyhrgkjdfbkngdlhifkjbsnkiluygskbehjfndkfiuvoygkbhdjs, nfghlbkjdnkfssbuoyghkebjfdsnjifuogbydjknvlz DUG AND RUSSEL OH MY GOD WHAT THE HECK I WANT TO MEET THEM SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY'RE SO LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahh ending strong with a Stacey Quote. Very nice work.

--------

P.S. I'm SOOOOOOOOO excited you're staying at Bay Lake. I hope that I'll get to the Bay Lake Tower portion of my trip report before your vacation  (I better!) I have SOOOO many pictures and so many comments and GAHHH it's the best place that exists on this earth. I am soooo freaking happy for you to stay there!

"And I will now leave you with this picture that I found on the internet."

..... :rotfl2:

That made me laugh. Just so you know.

Okay, that's all I have to say for now!

OH AND HEY! Your signature says your next trip is March 2012... well March 2012 starts in DAYS... aka your trip is coming up! :woohoo: When is it?
Omg you're so sweet to notice that!! I leave in FIVE DAYS, aka THIS SATURDAY ASFASDF. I absolutely can't wait!! We'll be there for a week - March 3rd to the 10th. My best friend and I are hoping to start up a trip report when we get back. c:

I'm looking forward to the next update! Trip reports are like the fuel to my fire before I leave, haha. ♥

Yes! Anyone can do it! It's really awesome. You just go into Castle Couture in Fantasyland and ask to be pixie-dusted and they'll gladly do it! By the way, hello from a fellow Richmonder! Thank you for reading!

Yay for RVA! you know I won't quit reading your TR now! Glad to know there are more of us in town! Ever do any babysitting fo little Disney lovers?? :rotfl2:

Can't wait to read more! By the way, one of the leads in FOTLK went to my HS (in Indiana).

I love the monorail!!!!

That tree is so cool!! i love all of the ornaments!

I enjoy Animal Kingdom for FOTLK and EE, but other than that I honestly get hot and irritated in that park for some reason!! :confused3 Don't get me wrong, I love the other rides too, but they aren't a must do for me like the FOTLK and EE are!!

I love your picture with Minnie!! :cutie: Too cute!

FOTLK is so beautiful! I love that show so much!! How cute that the birds are actually married!! P.S. I LOVE THAT SONG!!!! It makes me cry every time, and I swear it'll be my wedding song!

Wow, your friends sure met a lot of characters!! :thumbsup2 How cool you could meet Russell and Dug there! :goodvibes

I can't wait for EE!!!! My favorite rollarcoaster!!! :goodvibes
