On our last trip, we ate some fish n chips from the Yorkshire QS hut. That trip was in December when the weather was cooler and we didn't mind eating outside. We are going back in a few days and my son wants to eat there again, but I hate to eat outside in the heat  and would love to take a break in a cool area while we eat. Is there anywhere around there that we can go inside and eat? I can't think of any place, but I know this is the place to find answers!!! If not, I thought about just suggesting we eat at Columbia Harbor House at MK so we could eat inside. Would the fish be similar in taste?

Thanks so much!!! :flower3:

5 DAYS TO GO!!!

i personally have not been here but will be going in dec. a lot of ravs here plus you get to sit upstairs and look out over the park. it is still very hot right now!

There is really no indoor, air conditioned option anywhere nearby. You could carry the fish into the pub and eat it. But there's very limited seating in the pub.

The closest place with air conditioning is Yakitori House. However, it's small, and likely will not be a good place to take your food inside and eat it.

Liberty Inn is larger but that's a good long way to carry your fish.

Carry your food to France - go back past the patisserie into the large air-conditioned gift shop (you know - where the movie lets out?) and over to the far left - behind the Kid-Cot area are several sets of round tables and chairs. It is sort of screened off behind Kid-Cot.

This is just up the hill and over the bridge from the Fish-n-Chips place.

We like to grab stuff from the patisserie and eat back here. When we were there in the heat of July, it was a nice, cool oasis. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the location suggestion. That sounds just like what we are looking for, a cool oasis!!! :woohoo:

You're welcome! And if you have your hands full and don't want to worry about carrying drinks from England, you can just pop into the patisserie and get them, as well as plasticware, napkins, etc. The side door to the little eating area is almost adjacent to the exit of the patisserie.

We ate at both places when we were there just a few weeks ago. We really loved them both, but I DO think they are different. You might want to give them both a try if possible. They were both great CS choices!

.

I was wondering if this was allowed. DH wants to have a beer flight in the pub, so this would work out well.

It is almost impossible to get a seat in there. Good luck!

I was thinking lunch as soon as they open. I know, a little early for a drink, but hey, we're on vacation, and it's 5"o clock somewhere!:goodvibes

1) Both are correct.
2) The odds of getting a seat are like hitting the lottery.
3) There are only five sitting tables and three standing tables.
4) Unless REALLY lucky, you can wait 20-30 minutes for a table.
5) Like others, we get a table and stay for 30-45 minutes with beer and cheese.

NOTE: The France idea, past Kid Cot is OK, but there are only a few tables. They might be gone when you get there.

There is also a nice shady patio area adjacent to Rose and Crown, overlooking the lake. We always sit there with a beer and it's quiet (except for when Off Kilter is on stage) and not too hot The outdoor seating area for the fish and chips shop doesn't seem quite as shaded.
